“Mother, Miss Sia is looking for you!”
Dashi stood at the edge of the field, calling out to Mrs. Nashi who was inside.
Mrs. Nashi, who was currently tending to the crops in the experimental field, turned around immediately upon hearing her child's voice.
As she did, she saw Leticia.
Along with Danasuo, who was sitting on Leticia's shoulder.
Danasuo seemed to be whispering something to Leticia.
Leticia tilted her head slightly, listening to her while carefully protecting Danasuo on her shoulder.
It looked as if she was worried the tiny girl might fall off.
Seeing this, Mrs. Nashi paused her movements.
Soon, the expression on her face softened considerably.
“Miss Sia, what brings you here?”
Mrs. Nashi set down her tools and stepped out of the field.
Before Leticia could speak, Danasuo, sitting on her shoulder, beat her to it.
“Because Sia wants to learn how Mother does the farming.”
“So she came to ask you, right?”
Danasuo said, looking down at Leticia.
She looked completely like she was the one in charge of this visit.
Leticia was slightly taken aback.
Then, she gave a gentle nod.
“Yes, that is correct.”
Seeing her daughter being so informal with their benefactor, Mrs. Nashi was left somewhat speechless.
“Danasuo! You must not interrupt others like that.”
“It is very impolite!”
Mrs. Nashi's tone grew stern.
Danasuo's body stiffened.
Then, she immediately sat up a bit straighter.
“Eh~”
“But Mother, Sister Sia won't mind at all.”
She spoke with absolute confidence.
Watching Mrs. Nashi scold Danasuo, Leticia instinctively reached out and gently cupped Danasuo off her shoulder.
It was as if she wanted to make it easier for her to talk to Mrs. Nashi.
But once cupped in her hands, Danasuo turned around and beamed a bright smile at Leticia.
Leticia looked at her.
And returned a very faint smile.
Watching the two smile at each other, Mrs. Nashi could only cover her face.
“Goodness...”
For some reason, she felt that ever since her daughter recovered, she had become much more lively than before.
At this thought, Mrs. Nashi's gaze softened even more.
“Alright, Mother.”
Dashi chimed in from the side.
“Since Sister Sia said she wants to learn, we just need to teach her with all our hearts.”
“She said that this is the repayment she wants.”
When he said this, Dashi's expression actually looked somewhat reliable.
At least this time, the one being scolded by their mother wasn't him.
“Repayment...”
Mrs. Nashi looked at Leticia.
Leticia lowered her head, feeling a bit self-conscious.
“If possible, I want to learn how everyone lives.”
“So, I would like to start from here.”
After listening quietly, Mrs. Nashi gave a gentle smile.
“In that case, I will naturally do my best to teach you.”
“Well then, please follow me, Miss Sia.”
With that, Mrs. Nashi led Leticia into the field.
Sitting on Leticia's shoulder, Danasuo naturally began to give directions.
“Sister Sia, don't step over there.”
“The soil there was just loosened. Also, don't hold the tool backward.”
“That one is for loosening the soil, not poking it.”
Hearing this, Leticia looked at the tool in her hand.
“So this isn't how it's used?”
Danasuo: “...”
Dashi couldn't help but burst out laughing nearby.
“Sister Sia, you really look like a toddler learning how to walk.”
Mrs. Nashi immediately glared at Dashi.
“Dashi.”
Dashi instantly stood at attention.
“I was wrong.”
Leticia watched the mother and son and smiled softly.
Then, she gripped the tool in her hand tightly once more.
Meanwhile, in the Demon King's Castle—
Lin Ling was currently suffering from the Demon King's utterly ruthless tailing.
“Lady Demon King~”
“I really won't do anything dangerous anymore.”
“Just let me move around freely.”
Lin Ling floated in mid-air.
Her voice sounded incredibly pitiful.
Not far behind her, Ivelia kept following.
The distance between them was kept extremely steady.
It was exactly the distance from which she could instantly pull Lin Ling back if anything sudden happened.
“No.”
Ivelia's tone was extremely serious.
“This is not the first time you have said these words.”
“Since the Four Heavenly Kings cannot stop you from doing such dangerous things, I have to do it myself.”
This statement sounded perfectly reasonable.
But as for the real reason, only Ivelia herself knew.
Hearing this, Lin Ling felt like she was about to turn completely gray.
“But if you keep following me, Lady Demon King, I'm going to be very nervous.”
“If you are nervous, you will slowly get used to it.”
“Is that something you can even get used to?!”
“Yes.”
Ivelia's reply was concise and neat, yet carried an undeniable authority that brooked no argument.
Lin Ling: “...”
When the Demon King is unreasonable, she's really terrifying.
Thus, a game of hide-and-seek starring Lin Ling was currently underway in the Demon King's Castle.
Floating in the corridor, Lin Ling constantly scanned her surroundings.
Why on earth did I suddenly trigger a Demon King chase sequence?
Then, as if hit by a stroke of genius, Lin Ling suddenly raised her hand and pointed out the window toward the sky.
“Look! Cecil!”
Ivelia's steps paused slightly.
Cecil?
She instinctively recalled that Cecil should still be hanging from the clock tower.
Ivelia actually looked in the direction Lin Ling pointed.
But there was nothing there.
Only a very peaceful sky.
Ivelia: “...”
By the time she turned her head back, Lin Ling had already vanished.
Only a faint trace of residual magic fluctuated in the corridor.
Ivelia stood in place and remained silent for a moment.
Just then, a patrolling demon soldier happened to pass by.
Seeing Ivelia, the soldier immediately stopped and saluted.
“Lady Demon King.”
Ivelia looked at him.
“Have you seen Lin Ling?”
Hearing this question, the demon soldier was a bit puzzled.
Because when he walked over just now, he had only seen the Demon King standing here alone.
He hadn't seen Miss Saintess at all.
Thus, he shook his head.
“No, Lady Demon King.”
Ivelia observed the soldier's reaction.
Then, the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.
“I see.”
It seemed that her Miss Saintess surprisingly enjoyed this game of hide-and-seek.
In that case, she would play along with her for a bit.
Ivelia raised her head, sensing the residual magic traces in the air.
Lin Ling's teleportation magic wasn't very stable.
Because her magic power was too immense, she would leave very obvious traces behind every time she used it.
To Ivelia, these traces were as clear as if Lin Ling had written "I ran this way" in the air.
Ivelia's eyes softened slightly.
Then, she slowly walked toward the direction of the residual magic, as if thoroughly enjoying this game of hide-and-seek with Miss Saintess.
Meanwhile, at the top of the clock tower.
The clock tower duo and the newly teleported Lin Ling were currently staring wide-eyed at each other.
The three of them stared at one another and fell into silence.
