Chapter 14 | After Physical Therapy, All the Monsters Turned into Goddesses

"Repay with... my body?"

Elizabeth clutched the Indestructible Lab Coat (Bloodstained Edition) tightly, her eyes blank.

She looked down at herself subconsciously.

Her skin, which had been as shriveled as tree bark, was now pale and glowing. Her once-sagging chest was now perky and proud, and her long, straight legs were exposed to the air, gleaming like ivory.

This body certainly had plenty of capital.

But she was the Blood Queen! The glory of the Bathory family! The Night Witch who had struck terror into the hearts of countless imperial knights!

This lowly human doctor actually dared to make such a shameless demand of her?

"What... what do you want me to do?"

Elizabeth gritted her new Enchanted Titanium Alloy Fangs, her voice trembling slightly with shame and indignation.

She swore in her heart that if this man dared to say something like 'warm the bed,' she would bite his throat out, even if it meant being drilled one more time!

Victor pushed up his nonexistent glasses and pointed toward the door as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"What else? Work, of course!"

"Watch the gate, sweep the floors, handle the register, do the books, chase away the goblins who try to skip out on their bills..."

He counted them off on his fingers, his eyes as clear as those of an unscrupulous capitalist.

"What did you think I wanted? To sell your blood? That won't do. The high-energy plasma I just infused into you is very expensive; we can't let it go to waste."

"..."

Elizabeth froze. A even stronger sense of humiliation welled up in her heart.

He wanted her, the Great Blood Queen, to sweep floors? To watch the gate?

This was even more insulting than asking her to warm his bed!

"How dare you!"

She let out a roar of rage. The dignity of a superior being finally overcame her fear of the electric drill.

Boom!

A terrifying surge of dark-red magical power erupted from Elizabeth’s center. Her wine-red hair began to flutter wildly despite the lack of wind. Her eyes instantly turned a pure blood-red, and her two silver fangs flashed with a bloodthirsty chill under the light.

Power. The power contained within this new body was frighteningly strong!

She felt even more powerful than she had been a hundred years ago!

"Human!"

Elizabeth took a step forward, the floor cracking beneath her feet. She extended a hand, her nails lengthening into sharp bone blades pointing directly at the space between Victor’s eyebrows.

"You healed me, so I shall give you a swift death. This is my mercy to you!"

"As for that debt... once you are dead, everything here will be mine!"

She would kill him. As long as she killed him, that bone-deep fear would vanish. As long as she killed him, this miraculous clinic would be hers for the taking!

"Die!"

Her claws swung down, accompanied by a piercing whistle of broken wind.

However, facing a strike capable of shattering mountains, Victor didn't even blink.

He simply reached out to the tray and picked up the tool that had just rendered such great service—the heavy-duty industrial-grade impact drill.

"Vrrr——!!!"

He didn't even speak; he just casually pulled the trigger.

The high-pitched scream of the motor idling instantly filled the clinic.

The sound was sharp, ear-piercing, and filled with the lethal association of metal grinding against bone.

The moment that sound rang out, Elizabeth froze.

The claw that was only a centimeter away from Victor's forehead stopped dead, as if she had been hit by a freezing spell.

It wasn't because of a sudden change of heart. It was because—

"It hurts..."

Elizabeth suddenly clutched her cheek, her face turning deathly pale.

Phantom pain. A phantom pain originating from the depths of her soul, ten thousand times more terrifying than real pain, instantly pierced through her psychological defenses.

The sound of the spinning drill bit was like the whisper of a demon, awakening the ten minutes of hell she had just endured on the treatment chair.

Her roots were trembling. Her alveolar bone was moaning. Every nerve was screaming a signal to her brain: Run! That demon with the drill is back!

【Warning! Doctor-patient contract detected as active!】

【Patient attempted to attack the primary physician, triggering "Medical Order suppression"!】

【Punishment mechanism activated: General paralysis (High Potency).】

The system’s notification rang out in the void.

Thud.

The Blood Queen, who had been so aggressive and ready to massacre just a moment ago, felt her legs go weak and knelt directly in front of Victor. The posture was so perfect it was pitiable.

"Ugh..."

Elizabeth trembled all over, cold sweat instantly soaking her red hair. She discovered to her horror that the magic power in her body seemed to have met its natural enemy; it huddled in a corner, shivering, unable to be mobilized in the slightest.

"What? Is the tooth bothering you again?"

Victor turned off the drill, and that 'gentle' smile that gave Elizabeth nightmares reappeared on his face.

He held the drill and lightly tapped it against Elizabeth's cheek.

The cold metal bit touched her warm skin. Elizabeth flinched, tears nearly starting in her eyes.

"No... no..."

She shook her head violently, like a rattle-drum.

"Since there's no problem with the tooth, then there must be a problem with the brain."

Victor sighed, wearing an expression that said 'this batch of patients is really hard to manage.'

"Doing strenuous exercise right after surgery and even trying to bite the hand that fed you? Is this how you nobles show your breeding?"

He pointed to the shadowless lamp overhead.

"This is a clinic, and I am the doctor. Under this roof, my word is law. Understand?"

Elizabeth bit her lip, staring fixedly at the floor.

Humiliation. Indignation. But more than that, a deep sense of powerlessness.

She couldn't beat him. Whether it was that terrifying drill or this bizarre suppression of rules, everything made her realize one cruel fact—in front of this man, she was a toothless tiger, at his mercy.

"Gurgle..."

Just as the atmosphere reached a stalemate, an incredibly poorly timed, loud rumbling sound emanated from Elizabeth's lower abdomen.

In the dead silence of the clinic, the sound was like a clap of thunder.

Elizabeth's face instantly turned red, the flush spreading all the way to her ears.

Hungry. Although her blood had been replaced and her teeth had been planted, her stomach, which had been withered for centuries, was now frantically sending signals to her brain to eat.

That hunger was so intense it even overwhelmed her sense of shame.

"Hungry?"

Victor raised an eyebrow. He turned and walked to the counter, taking a glass from a shelf behind it that had been prepared in advance.

The glass was filled with a bright red liquid. It wasn't blood—or rather, it wasn't ordinary blood.

It was a 'post-operative recovery meal' Victor had specially mixed using the remaining High-Energy Concentrated Synthetic Blood (Type-V), diluted with glucose and Water of Life (a system specialty).

Although it was diluted, the rich energy fluctuations and enticing aroma still aggressively invaded Elizabeth's nose.

Gulp.

Elizabeth swallowed her saliva uncontrollably.

What was... that? It smelled so good. It was ten thousand times more fragrant and sweet than any virgin blood or knight blood she had ever tasted in her life!

The aroma was like a hook, snagging her soul and pulling all the hunger out of her gut.

"Want a drink?"

Victor swirled the glass, the red liquid clinging to the sides, crystal clear.

"This is a special nutritional meal. It will help you quickly stabilize your current form and even enhance your beauty."

Elizabeth’s gaze was glued to the glass; she couldn't look away. She wanted to say 'I will not eat food handed out in contempt' with dignity, but her body was very honest. Her knees involuntarily moved forward a bit, like a little kitten waiting to be fed.

"Here."

Victor didn't make things difficult for her and handed the glass over directly.

"Once you've finished and have your strength back, start working. That counter is yours from now on. Clear up the accounts for the past few days."

Elizabeth took the glass with trembling hands. The moment her fingertips touched the warm glass, she could no longer hold back.

To hell with the queen's dignity, to hell with vows of revenge!

She raised the glass and drained it in one gulp.

Glug! Glug!

"Ha—!"

With one glass down, Elizabeth’s entire body went rigid. A warm current exploded along her esophagus, and that sensation of ultimate deliciousness and overflowing energy instantly spread to every cell.

It felt good. Too good. It was like parched earth welcoming a spring rain, or a dying fish returning to the sea.

She felt her soul being sublimated in this delicious flavor. Because it was so pleasurable, her toes even curled up, and a blush-inducing moan escaped her throat.

She held the glass out to Victor, the murderous intent in her red eyes long gone, replaced by a watery longing. She looked like an alcoholic who had just gotten a taste of the good stuff.

"No more."

Victor spread his hands, heartlessly shattering her fantasy.

"This stuff is very expensive. Want more? Fine."

He pointed to the ledger on the counter, a devilish smile curling his lips.

"Work hard. If you perform well, you get one glass a day. Room and board included, along with a comprehensive benefits package—whatever that is—and regular dental care."

"How about it? Is it a fair deal?"

Elizabeth looked at the empty glass and licked a stray drop of red liquid from her lip. The aftertaste was endless.

She glanced at Alice, who was watching her like a hawk, holding her great scissors as if ready to snip her at any moment. Then she looked at the drill in Victor's hand, still dripping with oil. Finally, she looked at the warm, comfortable office chair.

Dignity? Freedom? In the face of this peerless delicacy, what were those worth?

And... while this man was a bit of a pervert, he really could make her stronger and more beautiful, and let her drink this divine blood. It seemed... staying wouldn't be so bad?

"Hmph."

Elizabeth stood up from the floor, trying her best to straighten her back and regain a bit of her queenly poise. She pulled the white coat around her to hide the enticing view, tilted her chin slightly, and put on a haughty expression.

"Don't misunderstand."

"I... I'm only doing this to pay back my debt."

"Once I've paid off that five million... I'm leaving immediately! I won't stay a second longer!"

Having said that, she clutched the empty glass as if afraid someone would steal it and quickly walked behind the counter.

"Why is this ledger so messy? Did you write this with your feet?"

"And this gold coin... why does it have teeth marks on it? Are you part dog?"

After only three seconds, the cold Blood Queen had already stepped into the role of 'Financial Director,' pointing and criticizing the messy accounts.
