Chapter 31 | After Physical Therapy, All the Monsters Turned into Goddesses

"Lift... lift it in?"

The lead goblin froze, subconsciously glancing at the clinic’s door, which was grand but didn't look particularly spacious.

Then he looked at the mountain-like body of his King on the stretcher.

"Divine Doctor, this... I'm afraid he might get stuck in the door."

The goblin had a woeful look as he pointed to the gluttonous magic boar's broad shoulders.

gluttonous magic boars were famous in the Blackthorn Forest for being "able to eat" and being "massive."

An adult magic boar could reach over five meters in length and weighed several tons.

They were like mobile mountains of meat; wherever they passed, not a single blade of grass remained.

However, this "King," who should have been plump and sturdy, currently exhibited an extremely contradictory state of illness.

Its skeleton remained massive, but its flesh was shriveled and clung to the bones. Its huge belly sagged loosely like a deflated ball. Its two proud fangs had lost their luster, becoming a dull, ashy white.

"Hmph... hmph..."

The magic boar wheezed weakly. Its eyes, which should have been filled with tyranny and greed, were now cloudy and lifeless, filled with a loathing for food and a despair for life.

"Getting stuck in the door is a minor matter."

Victor took a look and waved his hand.

"Alice, help me out. 'Trim' the door frame a bit."

"Of course, Director."

Alice gave a sweet smile, and those massive silver great scissors appeared in her hands once more.

Snip! Snip!

Accompanied by two crisp metallic clangs, the hard obsidian door frame was snipped clean as if they were two fragile bean sprouts.

The doorway instantly doubled in size.

The goblins watched, dumbstruck, subconsciously rubbing their own necks, feeling a chilly draft.

"Alright, lift him in."

Victor directed the skeleton Security Brigade, and they scrambled to lift the massive magic boar into the center of the clinic's hall.

To accommodate this big fellow, several rows of waiting benches had even been temporarily moved away.

"Divine Doctor, we beg you, please save our King!"

The goblins crowded around, circling in an anxious frenzy.

"He hasn't eaten for three days! We brought him the freshest earth dragon meat, but he vomits the moment he smells it!"

"If this continues, he'll become the first gluttonous magic boar in our tribe to starve to death! It would be so embarrassing if word got out!"

"Quiet!"

Victor frowned and shouted sternly.

"This is a hospital, not a vegetable market! Maintain silence; do not interfere with the doctor's diagnosis!"

The goblins shuddered and immediately covered their mouths, not daring to make another sound.

Victor put on sterile gloves and began a preliminary examination of this behemoth.

First, he flipped the magic boar's eyelids.

"The palpebral conjunctiva is pale, jaundice is severe, and there are liver function issues."

Then he pried open the massive mouth that could swallow an entire cow.

A stench mixed with stomach acid and decaying food wafted out.

"The tongue coating is thick and greasy with tooth marks; excessive stomach fire and indigestion."

Finally, he walked to the magic boar's sunken belly, knelt down on one knee, and began abdominal palpation.

He pressed with his fingers while tilting his head to listen to the sounds within the abdominal cavity.

"Bowel sounds are weak, and there is a noticeable sense of expansion and fluid accumulation in the stomach..."

As the examination went deeper, the expression on Victor’s face grew increasingly solemn.

"Strange."

"How very strange."

"He's clearly starving to death, yet his stomach is bloated like a ball?"

He stood up, walked to the side, and activated the deep scanning mode of the 【True Sight Eye】.

Red light swept across the magic boar's massive body, and a detailed, CT-like structural map of the internal organs appeared clearly in Victor’s field of vision.

The moment he saw the map, even Victor couldn't help but suck in a breath of cold air.

"My god..."

"How is this guy... still alive?"

On the scan,

The gluttonous magic boar's stomach had dilated to a terrifying degree.

It occupied nearly eighty percent of the entire abdominal cavity, like a giant balloon blown to its limit, squeezing the liver, intestines, and even the lungs until they were severely deformed.

And at the "pylorus"—the connection between the stomach and the intestines—it was deathly blocked by a massive mass of undigested food, bone fragments, and even several pieces of glittering metallic ore.

The cause of the illness had been found.

"I see."

Victor turned off the scan, his face showing the excitement a doctor feels when a difficult case is cracked.

He turned around and announced the final diagnosis to the group of anxiously waiting goblins.

"Your King isn't suffering from anorexia."

"It is 'acute gastric dilation' complicated by 'pyloric obstruction.'"

"To put it simply..."

Victor used a metaphor they could understand.

"He ate too much and too many different things, bursting his own stomach and completely clogging the sewer."

"Right now, his stomach is like a trash bag that only takes things in but never lets them out, filled with fermenting, rotting food. Of course he wants to vomit when he sees new food, because he simply has no place to put it."

"Huh?!"

The goblins looked at each other, clearly not understanding such complex medical terminology.

"Then... then what should we do, Divine Doctor?"

The lead goblin asked urgently.

"It's simple."

Victor snapped his fingers, his face wearing that signature, confident smile that made all his patients feel a bit hair-raised.

"Surgery."

"First, we clear the blocked 'sewer,' and then we... cut off a portion of that overextended 'trash bag.'"

"Cut... cut it off?"

The goblins' faces turned green with fear.

Can a stomach really be cut? That's the tool used for eating!

"Of course it can be cut."

Victor answered matter-of-factly, as if he were talking about the most normal thing in the world.

"The stomach is a very elastic organ. Cutting a portion off won't just avoid affecting digestive function—it will actually help it regain its normal peristaltic ability."

"Furthermore,"

Victor looked at the magic boar's massive body, a strange light flickering in his eyes.

"From a nutritional perspective, gluttony is a very unhealthy eating habit."

"This surgery can help your King fundamentally... control his appetite."

"Two birds with one stone. Perfect."

The goblins wanted to say something more, but looking at Victor’s unquestionable gaze and the little girl in the black dress nearby who was currently using scissors to trim her fingernails, they tactfully swallowed their words.

Reasoning with this demon who could drill into a skeleton's brain?

Wouldn't that be seeking death?

"Then... then Divine Doctor, what do you need us to do?"

"Go wait outside."

Victor waved them off.

"Elizabeth, clear the room and prepare the anesthesia."

"Alice, prepare the surgical instruments. We’ll need the 'big toys' for this one."

"Understood, Director."

Elizabeth and Alice responded in unison, their movements as practiced as if they had rehearsed them a thousand times.

With a wave of Elizabeth's hand, a thick Blood Mist instantly enveloped the still-grunting magic boar.

A few seconds later, snores like thunder rang out.

Alice pushed a massive tool cart over.

The cart didn't hold delicate scalpels or tweezers.

Instead, it held rows of industrial-grade cutting tools flickering with dangerous, cold light.

Chainsaws, angle grinders, hydraulic shears...

There was even something that looked like it had been dug out of some ancient ruin—a laser knife with a massive red crystal embedded in its hilt?

【High-Frequency Particle Cutting Sword (Pseudo)】

【Quality: Excellent】

【Description: A low-quality imitation created by the clinic’s newly appointed Research Minister, Miss Zoe, combining Dwarven forging techniques and goblin technology. Although its performance is unstable and it occasionally leaks electricity, its instantaneous maximum temperature is enough to cut through three-meter-thick steel plates.】

"Hmm, a nice new toy."

Victor picked up the cool-looking laser knife and gave it a flourish.

Vroom—

A red particle blade snapped out instantly, emitting an ear-piercing hum.

The surrounding air was slightly distorted by the heat.

The goblins' hearts hammered in fear, and they practically crawled and scrambled out of the clinic.

"Alright, let's begin."

Victor walked to the side of the slumbering magic boar, looking at its belly which was as thick as a city wall. A surgeon’s characteristic fanaticism appeared on his face.
