Chapter 35 | After Physical Therapy, All the Monsters Turned into Goddesses

"A raise?"

Victor glanced at the mass of green slime excitedly licking the bloodstains off the floor, then at Elizabeth's serious face.

"She hasn't even officially started yet, and you're already thinking about giving her a raise?"

"Besides, do you really think... it needs a salary?"

Elizabeth followed Victor's gaze.

She saw the slime, now named "Bobo," wriggling happily across the clinic lobby like a robotic vacuum.

Wherever it passed, whether it was dried blood, monster saliva, or the rubble and dust left over from the previous battle, everything was swallowed clean by its jelly-like body.

Even the faint scent of blood in the air was absorbed by it.

"It looks... quite happy,"

Elizabeth said, sounding a bit uncertain.

"Of course it's happy."

Victor shrugged.

"For a creature that lives on trash, what could be more blissful than finding a cafeteria that consistently produces a large amount of 'high-quality' trash every day?"

"However..."

Victor stroked his chin, watching the mass of green sludge wriggling back and forth, his brow furrowing slightly.

"There's still a bit of a problem with its form."

"What problem? I think it's fine. At least it's safer than that violent maniac Alice," Elizabeth commented.

"No, you don't understand."

Victor shook his head with a professional look in his eyes.

"First of all, it flows everywhere. While it cleans the floor, it also easily harbors filth, which doesn't meet our clinic's 'sterile' standards."

"Secondly, its corrosiveness is too strong."

Victor pointed to his boots, which had two small holes corroded into them.

"If it keeps rubbing against things like this, we'll have to replace the clinic's floors with a special corrosion-resistant alloy within three days."

"Most importantly..."

Victor sighed as he looked at the green slime, which possessed no aesthetic value whatsoever.

"It's too ugly."

"It seriously lowers the average appearance of our Benevolent Heart Clinic staff."

Elizabeth: "..."

Alice: "..."

Mia: "(Tilts head, licks meat scraps from the corner of her mouth)?"

"Since I've decided to recruit it, I need to give it a comprehensive 'pre-employment physical' and 'morphological optimization'."

Victor snapped his fingers.

"Conveniently, I have a few points left over from the hair transplant I gave Bone Sovereign Aur. It's enough to buy 'that thing'."

He opened the system mall and skillfully typed a few words into the search bar.

【Solidification Shaping Agent (Slime Exclusive Edition)】

【Quality: Rare】

【Price: 200 points】

【Description: A magical alchemical potion that allows amorphous slime creatures to obtain a relatively stable humanoid form.】

【Side Effect: May cause a further reduction in intelligence.】

"Intelligence? Does it even have that?"

Victor clicked purchase without hesitation.

A syringe filled with a fluorescent green liquid appeared in his hand out of thin air.

"Bobo, come here."

Victor beckoned to the mass of green sludge that was still working hard.

The slime's body undulated, and like a puppy hearing its master's call, it wriggled over happily.

"Don't be afraid, I'm just giving you a shot."

Victor wore the kind of kind (hypocritical) smile usually reserved for giving children vaccinations.

"This is an employee benefit. It will make you... more beautiful."

The slime clearly didn't understand what "beautiful" meant.

But it could sense the unquestionable aura radiating from Victor.

So, it obediently stopped wriggling and flattened itself on the ground like a pile of resigned mud.

Victor didn't hesitate for a second.

Psh.

The needle accurately pierced the core of the slime's jelly-like body.

The fluorescent green potion was slowly injected.

Buzz—

A magical scene unfolded.

As the potion was injected, the originally formless green slime began to tumble, contract, and shape itself violently, as if being kneaded by an invisible hand.

Its color became clearer and more emerald-like, resembling a piece of fine jade.

Its volume continued to shrink, and its form gradually transitioned from a pile of mud toward a blurry humanoid outline.

First was a round head, then a slender neck, and then an exquisitely shaped...

"Wow!"

Alice watched the scene, her red eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Director, are you sculpting a clay doll?"

"Shut up, this is science."

Victor stared intently at the changes before him, a hint of fine sweat even appearing on his forehead.

The shaping process was unstable. He needed to use his mental power to guide the flow of the potion to ensure the final result wasn't some bizarre monstrosity.
