After the Nanming Kingdom launched its nuclear missiles, the first to react was the Coalition, far away on the Western Continent.
It was daytime there.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Inside a monolithic black building, alarms blared incessantly.
A large number of white staff members looked on in terror as they rushed to their workstations.
“This is bad! The Nanming Kingdom has launched two nuclear weapons!” a man shouted.
Behind him, a white general in a camouflage uniform walked over quickly. “Have you identified the target destination?”
“General, we’ve received an official notice from the Nanming Kingdom. Their nuclear launch is not targeted at us!” an official said, walking up hurriedly.
Hearing this, the general seemed to realize something. “Check the trajectory immediately! Are they targeting their own city, Ningcheng?”
The man in front of him immediately operated the equipment. Half a minute later, a map of the Nanming Kingdom appeared on the screen.
The map showed two red projectiles, their path heading directly toward Ningcheng.
Seeing this, the general’s gaze hardened. ‘Has it really spiraled out of control? It seems everything was true!’
Given his rank, he naturally knew what was happening over there.
Under normal circumstances, he would have laughed himself to death if the Nanming Kingdom launched nuclear missiles at its own city.
But now, he couldn't bring himself to laugh, because the Earth Mother was a disaster for all of humanity.
...
In the sky above Ningcheng, nine minutes remained before the nuclear weapons would arrive.
On the stone face of the Earth Mother, Destiny Force was converging.
A golden curtain of light appeared above the church.
Beneath the golden light, Zhao Jin looked at the Destiny Force surrounding the Earth Mother with a smile on his face. ‘There’s so much of it. As expected of a world-renowned evil god, this Destiny Force probably exceeds a million units!’
If he let this thing develop for a while longer and then harvested it, all that Destiny Force would belong to him.
At the thought of this, Zhao Jin’s gaze toward the Earth Mother became increasingly fervent.
The golden light of the Destiny Force had already condensed into a solid form. Below, Liu Wen looked at the golden light with uncontrollable envy and longing.
He could feel that if he possessed that golden light, there was no telling what level he could evolve to.
Vroom!
From behind, the sound of an engine approached.
Liu Wen turned to look and saw Liu Zhian driving a Humvee toward them. Liu Qi sat in the passenger seat, while Liu Jiyun was in the back.
The vehicle stopped at the entrance, and the group got out, staring at the golden light overhead in shock.
Hum!
Suddenly, all the golden light surged into the stone face of the Earth Mother, and an invisible ripple swept across all of Ningcheng.
As the ripple passed over the people below, Liu Zhian’s hair was blown backward.
Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!
Nearby streetlights sparked, the city’s lights went out, and signals were jammed.
In an instant, Ningcheng was thrown back into the primitive age.
Rumble!
The ground trembled. A powerful tremor centered on the church began to spread outward.
“What’s happening? The chronicles of the Earth Mother’s birth didn't say anything about an earthquake!” Liu Jiyun’s body swayed as he looked at the sky in confusion.
Bang!
Suddenly, a loud explosion erupted from beneath the church, and dense cracks appeared on the building’s surface.
Bang!
In the next moment, the church exploded. A massive number of corpses squeezed together, forming a serpent that shot from the basement toward the sky.
Not far away, the place where Liu Ziping had hidden the corpses also exploded, and another serpent made of bodies appeared.
It wasn't just there; the corpses left behind after the chaotic battle on the streets behind them began to float up.
These corpses gathered together and flew toward the stone face.
Further away, the bodies of soldiers also took flight.
Inside a high-rise building, a middle-aged man holding a teacup watched in stunned silence as a large number of corpses flew past his window.
“How can these bodies fly? What on earth is happening?!” He hurriedly pulled out his phone to report the incident.
But no matter how he pressed his phone, there was no response. He looked up at his pitch-black room.
Fear welled up inside him. ‘What’s wrong with this world? It’s one thing for the power to go out, but corpses are flying, and even my phone is broken!’
With the power cut, the people of Ningcheng fell into a state of panic.
On the outskirts, tens of thousands of corpses wrapped around the stone face in layers. Upon touching the stone face, their flesh and blood began to melt.
Clothes fell from the sky. A minute later, a ten-meter-wide flesh-and-blood face appeared.
The face was filled with malevolence, its eyes slightly closed. Beneath the eyelids, the eyes consisted of countless intertwined arms.
At the same time, the golden light above merged into the Earth Mother’s body.
