Chapter 12 | I Awakened a Monster Compendium and Started Farming Bloodlines

After the battle, Lynn began to check his current status.

First was his harvest from subjugating the goblin nest.

After sequentially activating the three talents of Goblin Minion, Strong Goblin, and Goblin Apprentice, Lynn's attribute panel had become vastly different.

[Adventurer Lynn - Classless]

[Strength: 6]: Affects muscle power.

[Agility: 5]: Affects neural reflexes and movement speed.

[Constitution: 5]: Affects stamina and resistance to abnormal bodily statuses.

[Intelligence: 9]: Affects learning speed, maximum mana, and mental recovery.

[Perception: 8]: Affects observational skills and intuitive sharpness.

[Charisma: 6]: Affects willpower, attractiveness, and eloquence.

[Skills: Stealth Lv.1, Kidney Strike Lv.1, Backstab Lv.1, Magic Missile Lv.1]

...

His class was still listed as "None."

Lynn knew too little about the class-holders of this world. He wasn't even sure what exactly qualified someone as a class-holder.

He had originally thought that mastering extraordinary powers like 【Skills】 would make him a class-holder, but even though he had now learned multiple skills, his panel still showed him as classless.

However, under the enhancement of his talents, all of his attributes had increased.

There was only one attribute that surprised Lynn.

His Charisma had risen from five points to six.

This was not the result of any talent bonuses.

After thinking about it, Lynn felt it might be because his increased Intelligence and improved physique had caused a corresponding rise in his Charisma.

A refined young man with a good build was bound to be more popular than an unremarkable villager.

In addition to the attribute changes, a skill column had been added to his panel this time.

Lynn already possessed a whopping four skills, which he felt was likely quite rare among adventurers.

The monk had only used two skills, while Hal and Betty had only used one each.

This meant that either they were adventurers who specialized heavily in a single skill, or rookie adventurers simply didn't start with many skills.

With a thought from Lynn, the 《Monster Identification Manual》 flipped forward two pages, and the goblin talent tree came into view. The lower half of its branching structure was already lit up.

The goblin's low potential was fully on display; it looked like ascending just two or three more tiers would fully exhaust its possibilities.

Recorded in the bottom right corner of the manual were Lynn's current Talent Points:

19.

After killing the Goblin Warrior, he had accumulated quite a few more Talent Points.

Lynn calculated that in last night's operation, he had killed seventeen goblins all by himself.

Although there were many coincidences involved, such an achievement would be considered incredibly exaggerated for a rookie adventurer.

Still, he hadn't managed to save up another twenty points yet.

Lynn checked the unlit talents on the talent tree. Most of them were completely locked and unclickable, but two of them glowed faintly, indicating they were waiting to be activated.

“Hmm?”

Only then did Lynn realize that the portrait for the Goblin Warrior hadn't disappeared after he chose the "Goblin Apprentice" branch; it was still in a grayed-out state, waiting to be unlocked.

He focused his mind on it.

【Do you wish to activate the Goblin Warrior talent? Cost: Goblin Talent Points * 40】

It could still be activated, but the cost had doubled.

Hmm...

Lynn felt this was good news.

It was far better than choosing one branch and having the other completely locked out forever.

As for the doubling of the required Talent Points, that was actually understandable.

In the games Lynn had played in his previous life, multi-classing usually came with an experience penalty.

In this case, when activating a new talent, it made sense that two different talents would repel each other, requiring more Talent Points to integrate them.

Besides, goblin Talent Points weren't particularly difficult to acquire.

After all, if there was one thing this world did not lack, it was goblins.

In addition to the Goblin Warrior branch waiting to be activated, the next tier of the Goblin Apprentice talent had also appeared on the talent tree.

This time, there was only a single path of advancement—

【Do you wish to activate the "Goblin Priest" talent? Cost: Goblin Talent Points * 100】

A whopping hundred points seemed like a distant goal, but when he really thought about it, it was only a matter of killing a hundred Goblin Minions. He should be able to save up enough in a month or two.

The specific attributes still couldn't be viewed, so Lynn didn't dwell on it for now and closed the manual.

Before he knew it, a stone building standing four stories tall came into view. Its topmost section was painted in a vibrant shade of red, making it stand out exceptionally in a world where wooden structures were the norm.

He had already reached the entrance of the Adventurers' Guild.

Perhaps it was time to register.

Lynn was now filled with anticipation at the prospect of encountering new monsters.

He only needed to unlock one more monster entry to receive the rune reward from the manual. He wondered what kind of pleasant surprise was in store for him then.

He had even already decided on the next monster he wanted to encounter.

Having come to an isekai world, there were two kinds of monsters one simply had to experience. He had already encountered goblins, so as for the other...
