With the death energy slowly dissipating, Li Xiuman's current stats had reached:
Strength: 4
Constitution: 6
At this level, he would absolutely get utterly thrashed.
Although he had recently acquired a new class, “Necromancer.”
This was a good thing.
However, it also pushed him further down the path of a pure mage.
A dual-mage class, magic upon magic.
To avoid being raided, Li Xiuman endured mental exhaustion and accelerated his study of magic models.
A day later...
[Ding! Proficiency has met the requirement. Magic Analysis Lv. 2 has been upgraded to Magic Analysis Lv. 3.]
His exhausted spirit recovered in an instant, and the world seemed to become much clearer. His memory and comprehension increased once again.
The magic knowledge he had been cramming during this period seemed to automatically align and organize itself in his mind. A vast amount of previously obscure magical knowledge suddenly became simple and easy to understand.
“So that's how it is. I see, I see.”
“I'm finally beginning to understand everything.”
His confidence bolstered, Li Xiuman couldn't wait to continue studying the magic models.
Sure enough, he still couldn't understand them.
Well, biting off more than he could chew was something best left for later. After all, he was only a Level 23 skeleton.
Still, researching the most basic parts of the magic models no longer caused him headaches or mental fatigue.
This direct improvement thrilled Li Xiuman. Perhaps he really would be able to engrave magic runes onto his magic circles before becoming a Tier 4 Mage.
Li Xiuman stood up. Perhaps because this upgrade of [Magic Analysis] was of a higher level, he found that his control over his body had become much more adept.
It felt just like when he had first acquired the [Close Combat] skill, though the improvement wasn't as dramatic as back then.
“Is this increase in control a hidden Intelligence stat?”
Li Xiuman didn't dwell on it and shifted his focus to the Rib Sword. He could now see every minute detail of the Rib Sword with perfect clarity.
“My vision seems to have improved to some extent as well.”
The Rib Sword's devouring speed was already several times faster than at the beginning. Everything was heading in a positive direction.
However, if he couldn't leave this dungeon, everything would be for naught.
At this thought, Li Xiuman opened The Skeleton's Magic Book and resumed his study of teleportation magic.
If he only had the magic circle, it would naturally be impossible for him to figure out teleportation magic. But combined with the teleportation capabilities of the dungeon core, Li Xiuman was now able to gradually grasp the principles behind it.
Once he had finished thoroughly analyzing the incomplete teleportation magic circle, Li Xiuman was not in a good mood.
The situation was grim.
The magic circle seemed to only allow one-way teleportation.
Furthermore, it was incomplete; the damaged portion was very likely the part meant to teleport him to the White Bear City dungeon.
He would have to design a new teleportation magic circle from scratch to have a chance of teleporting back.
But with Li Xiuman's current amateur skills...
In the end, is my ability still insufficient? Am I destined to be defeated by the raiders?
No, there was still a chance.
Since the boost from [Magic Analysis] Lv. 3 wasn't enough, he would just have to upgrade [Golem] to Lv. 3 as well.
With the dual boosts of these two auxiliary skills, he might truly be able to design a reverse teleportation magic circle.
With the current boost of [Magic Analysis] Lv. 3, combined with the parts from the Ore Beast Wolf he had previously dismantled, he had a shot at raising Golem to Lv. 3.
Having decided on his path, Li Xiuman wasted no more time. He retrieved the parts of the Ore Beast Wolf and began to study and analyze them.
At the same time, he had a large amount of molten refined iron to use as experimental materials, which could rapidly level up his Golem skill.
At worst, he could even use Red-Faced Square Gold as experimental material, essentially paying to win his way to a higher level.
This level of waste made Li Xiuman's heart ache to the point of suffocation.
But there was no other way—survival was paramount.
After all, if he didn't survive, what was the use of having so many materials? Could he eat them for dinner?
His own life was always the top priority!
Li Xiuman used the dungeon core to observe the progress of the raid party.
He had to admit, they truly lived up to being a raid party entirely composed of Level 20 or higher classholders; in just a single day, they had already cleared their way to the 8th floor.
As for the labyrinth?
These guys were straight-up demolishing the place. Once they chose a direction, they simply smashed their way through with hammers.
“Dammit, how can they be so rude when entering someone else's home?!”
Li Xiuman felt his anger flare as he watched them.
He could only turn his grief and indignation into motivation, desperately studying Golem lore and crafting Golems based on the Ore Beast Wolf's parts.
At the same time, the massive influx of newly crafted Golems would give the raid party quite a surprise.
And just like that, a week passed.
[Ding! Proficiency has met the requirement. Golem Lv. 2 has been upgraded to Golem Lv. 3.]
“I finally leveled it up!”
Feeling his intellect expand, Li Xiuman quickly retrieved The Skeleton's Magic Book and delved back into the teleportation magic.
With the raid party already down to the 18th floor, Li Xiuman had to hurry.
Suddenly, a spark of inspiration flashed in his mind.
He quickly followed this inspiration to sketch, and an obscure, complex magic circle gradually began to take shape.
It wasn't that Li Xiuman had actually mastered teleportation magic.
This was merely a crude imitation, a copy-paste job that could only facilitate a one-way teleportation to the White Bear City dungeon.
In fact, it could only teleport him specifically to that dungeon and nowhere else.
Applying concepts to new situations was not so simple, so this was pure plagiarism—and he couldn't even guarantee he had copied it correctly.
Three days later.
Li Xiuman began sketching and drawing on the floor using blood.
As for where the blood came from...
In any case, it certainly didn't come from Li Xiuman.
If he had better materials, Li Xiuman really wouldn't want to use blood to draw magic circles.
A pitch-black skeleton painting the ground with blood looked far too villainous.
“No, wrong again!”
Having drawn one part incorrectly, Li Xiuman couldn't help but stomp his foot. He then turned his gaze toward those two lovely little lambs.
“Looks like I'll have to rely on you two once more.”
Li Xiuman walked over to Jack and Yudith. They shivered violently, their faces filled with pure terror.
Over this past week, they felt as if they had descended into hell. If it were possible, they desperately wished this was all just a nightmare.
CRASH!
A loud boom rang out as the heavy doors were thrown open.
An adventurer party surged into the room, their eyes locking onto Li Xiuman.
Li Xiuman also turned his head to look back at them.
Jack and Yudith, however, wore expressions of immense relief and excitement.
They had finally arrived.
Their hope had finally arrived.
Li Xiuman acted swiftly, immediately sinking the two of them into the ground to hide them.
He then silently stared at the adventurer party.
Calculating the time, it indeed made sense that these guys would have reached this floor by now.
For now, he would just act like a typical boss.
What did a normal boss usually do? Well, let's start with a roar.
“ROAR!!!”
