Returning to the courtyard.
The little sparrows saw that Su Qing's expression was very poor, looking as if she were in a terrible mood.
They couldn't help but ask with concern:
"Big Sister Xiao Qing, what's wrong? Did someone make you unhappy? We'll go peck them!"
Hearing this, Su Qing shook her head slightly.
These little ones were just talking big.
In the monastery, who could they possibly beat?
Besides, she couldn't possibly let them go peck their master, could she?
"Tomorrow… I will be graduating. I have to leave this place where I've lived for decades?"
Su Qing sighed softly and said.
The little sparrows quickly said:
"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, you still have us!"
"That's right, you still have us!"
"We will always stay with Big Sister Xiao Qing."
"Right, right. No matter where Big Sister Xiao Qing goes, we will accompany her."
"My lady, I will also accompany you."
Leng Xiang transformed into her human form and said softly:
"Besides, although the Patriarch is making you leave, it's not a complete severance of ties… You will surely meet again in the future. After all, the one the Patriarch values most is you, my lady."
Leng Xiang had been with Su Qing for about ten years.
She had witnessed how much Patriarch Bodhi favored Su Qing.
Although the Patriarch's words were quite final this time, she could see that he was also reluctant to let her go.
Su Qing nodded slightly.
But in her heart, she knew that after this parting, it would likely be very difficult to meet again.
After that Wukong left the Cave of the Three Stars, he could no longer find any trace of his master when he returned.
"That's right… Wukong!"
Su Qing suddenly remembered. If the Patriarch was going to accept Wukong as a disciple in the future,
the Cave of the Three Stars surely wouldn't truly be abandoned and empty.
Perhaps, she could meet the Patriarch again in the future through Wukong?
Thinking this way, Su Qing was no longer so sad.
Su Qing couldn't help but look at Leng Xiang, her mood lifted.
If not for Leng Xiang's words, she might not have thought of this.
In a moment of excitement.
She held Leng Xiang's small face and gave her a kiss.
"Thank you, Leng Xiang! I suddenly thought of something, and I'm not so sad anymore."
After being kissed, Leng Xiang felt her face flush red, unbearably shy.
Even her sword form trembled slightly.
"It's good that my lady is no longer sad," Leng Xiang said with a shy smile.
Although she didn't know what her lady was happy about, seeing her spirits lift made her happy too.
Having figured things out in her heart, Su Qing no longer stood there dazed.
She prepared to go say goodbye to her senior brothers and sisters…
Su Qing went to say her goodbyes one by one, also giving some gifts.
Su Qing had never left the monastery, so her possessions were truly limited.
The only things she could give were some items she had made herself.
They weren't valuable.
But they were a token of her heart.
After some thought, Su Qing went to find Patriarch Bodhi again.
Unfortunately, Bodhi was unwilling to see Su Qing.
Helpless, Su Qing had no choice but to place a bracelet made of soapberry pits at the Patriarch's door.
Then she bowed respectfully and turned to leave.
After Su Qing left, a sigh came from behind the tightly closed doors.
The soapberry bracelet at the entrance was taken inside.
"This girl… truly makes it hard to let go."
Bodhi wasn't unwilling to see Su Qing; he was just afraid he would change his mind.
Bodhi shook his head slightly, put the bracelet away, then took it out a moment later and put it on.
It was, after all, a gift from his most beloved disciple…
Just setting it aside made him feel a little uneasy.
The bracelet was just an ordinary object, but it was a token of her heart.
After returning from Bodhi's place, Su Qing sat under the ginkgo tree.
Looking at this ginkgo tree, which had several branches blasted off,
she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for it.
Every time she underwent a tribulation, it would be affected.
If it had a spirit, it would surely be cursing her out.
"Little tree, I'm leaving tomorrow. Will you be sad to see me go?"
Su Qing said slowly:
"I'm quite reluctant to leave. I'm a sentimental person… Having stayed in this courtyard for so many years, it's truly hard to part with it."
As Su Qing spoke, a leaf slowly drifted down, landing in her palm.
It was as if the ginkgo tree was saying it was reluctant to see her go too.
But unfortunately, the ginkgo had not yet gained a spirit; it was just the wind making one sentimental.
The sparrows landed in Su Qing's arms.
They chirped and chattered, telling Su Qing that they had also said goodbye to the senior brothers and sisters, as well as the kitchen staff.
Su Qing reached out and stroked the little ones' feathers.
She said faintly, "It's good that you've said your goodbyes."
Su Qing sat under the ginkgo tree for a long time.
For some reason, a few butterflies kept flying around her.
Su Qing held out her hand, and a butterfly landed on her fingertip.
A moment later, it dissolved into specks of starlight and disappeared.
Su Qing was slightly stunned. Feeling something in her heart, she abruptly stood up and walked out of the courtyard.
Because she moved so quickly,
the sparrows tumbled to the ground.
After falling, the sparrows woke up in a daze.
They looked at Su Qing and asked, "Big Sister Xiao Qing, what's wrong?"
Su Qing gave a helpless smile, looked outside the courtyard, and said:
"The monastery is gone."
Outside the courtyard, where was the Cave of the Three Stars monastery?
There was only a desolate wilderness…
Hearing this, the little sparrows quickly flew to Su Qing's side.
Seeing the scene outside, they were also stunned.
They nearly fell from mid-air.
"How could it be gone?"
"Yeah, yeah, such a big monastery, how could it just disappear like that?"
"Could it be invisible?"
"I'll go check." A moment later, that sparrow returned and said, "It's gone, it's really gone."
The little sparrows were dumbfounded and fell into chaos.
Even more surprised than Su Qing.
Su Qing sighed softly, her heart filled with mixed emotions.
She had thought the parting would be tomorrow.
But unexpectedly, it was goodbye today.
Regarding the entire monastery's disappearance, Su Qing was not actually surprised…
For Patriarch Bodhi, what difficulty was there in moving the entire Cave of the Three Stars?
Besides, when she first came to become a disciple,
hadn't the monastery appeared just as suddenly?
Its arrival was miraculous, and its departure was just as miraculous.
Su Qing shook her head slightly, looking at the barren mountain, and thought optimistically:
"Master must have done this because he was also reluctant to part, right? Cultivators should understand how to cut ties and let go… I think I understand this saying a little better now."
Su Qing didn't blame the Patriarch for leaving so suddenly.
Thinking about it from another perspective, if he didn't feel reluctant in his heart,
why would he be in such a hurry to leave?
Like cutting a tangled rope with a swift knife?
"Well… this way, I don't have to leave this courtyard. At least the courtyard I've lived in for decades is still here. I guess that lessens the sorrow of parting a little?"
Su Qing gave a wry smile, trying to think on the bright side.
She couldn't help but turn her head and say to the ginkgo tree:
"It seems you and I don't have to part ways after all. In the future, I'm afraid I'll have to rely on your care. Don't worry, I won't undergo my tribulations next to you anymore…"
A gust of wind blew past, and the leaves trembled slightly. Was it happiness or frustration?
Who could know?
Su Qing wasn't a tree.
Su Qing shook her head slightly, closed the courtyard gate, and stopped looking at the wilderness.
At the same time, she also comforted the little sparrows.
Really, she wasn't even as flustered as they were.
Time slowly passed.
In a flash, it was time for dinner.
"My lady, it's time to eat."
"Leng Xiang…" Su Qing said, "Why don't we… plant some vegetables outside."
"As my lady wishes."
