Chapter 51 | I, Liu Xian, Am Not a Divine Dragon

The Stone Monkey imitated them. Hearing this, he also nodded.

"Yes, yes. This place is truly different, incredibly impressive."

The monkey, hearing this, immediately felt a bit proud. After all, one of the logs in this wooden house was carried by him personally!

He said, "Hehe, then you've come to the right place. Let me tell you, this is a great spot!"

The monkey turned around and immediately forgot what he had originally come back to tell the other monkeys. He chattered away to the Stone Monkey about things outside the Water Curtain Cave.

The Stone Monkey found it interesting to listen to, yet he was also confused. He had just been born... everything was hazy. Without gender, without nature, and without a surname. He knew no good or evil, had no gender, and no surname. Just like a brand new, clean sheet of white paper.

The monkey chattered away happily. It was a pity the Stone Monkey didn't understand anything. But fortunately, although he couldn't understand, he was exceptionally eager to learn. Whenever he was puzzled, he would immediately ask. This often left the equally clueless monkey at a loss for how to answer. He could only scratch his ears and cheeks, stammering.

The sparrows were playing with the monkey troop outside the waterfall. Hearing that a new monkey had arrived, they came over to take a look. Seeing the monkey unable to answer the questions, they first laughed at him. Then they helped answer.

Although the sparrows were usually silly and not very smart. But having been with Su Qing for so long, they certainly knew more than the monkeys in the mountains. Moreover, the sparrows were quite interested in this matter. On Flower-Fruit Mountain, they usually had nothing to do. It was nothing more than eating fruits and catching green worms. Their favorite thing to do was to trick other monkeys into joining Su Qing's troop, or to worship Su Qing as their king. They even occasionally tried to trick other animals. However, because they didn't have Su Qing's persuasive ability... their successful attempts were still few and far between. And now, they had come with the intention of tricking the Stone Monkey!

"Hey monkey, why don't you worship my sister as the Great King!"

"Worship my sister as the Great King, and you'll be one of us."

"Yes, yes."

"Look how good it is here! No fear of jackals or tigers and leopards, a place to shelter from rain, a place to avoid wind. Nowhere else is this good!"

"Yes, there are even big demons in these mountains that eat monkeys!"

The Stone Monkey was already muddled. Under the persuasion of the sparrows, he became even more confused. So he simply nodded and agreed. His idea was simple: there were so many monkeys here, being together wouldn't be lonely. As for who to worship as Great King, he didn't care much... He just wanted to be free and happy.

"Great, great! Another monkey added, another monkey added!"

Seeing the Stone Monkey agree, the sparrows flew around excitedly. The Stone Monkey, seeing this, also chuckled, finding these sparrows very interesting.

"Come on, monkey, I'll take you to meet everyone."

The sparrows quickly composed themselves, flew to the Stone Monkey's side, and led him to meet the other monkeys.

Su Qing was currently in the Water Curtain Cave, unaware that the sparrows had done something big for her. But what bad intentions could the little sparrows have? They just wanted to get more subordinates for their sister. They didn't recognize this Stone Monkey, nor did they know that this Stone Monkey was the future Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Victorious Fighting Buddha. Their minds were simple; they just thought it was fun, so they tricked him.

Thus, under the sparrows' guidance. The Stone Monkey quickly blended in with the other monkeys. Most monkeys were naturally guileless. Seeing the Stone Monkey arrive, they simply felt they had gained another playmate. Naturally, they were very welcoming. The Stone Monkey, integrated into the troop, was also very happy... He played with the troop, jumping from tree to branch, gathering flowers and seeking fruits, throwing pebbles, catching nuts, utterly joyful. Just like that, the sparrows played with the monkey troop and the Stone Monkey for half a day. Feeling tired, they then returned to the Water Curtain Cave.

Water Curtain Cave.

Su Qing was currently slacking off... she had been thinking for half a day, but couldn't come up with any good solution, which gave her quite a headache. At this moment, seeing the sparrows return from outside, she decided to put the matter aside for now. She would think about it later... maybe then an idea would come to her. She called the sparrows over and asked them what they had done today, and if they had caused any trouble. The sparrows insisted they hadn't caused any trouble, and recounted the day's events to Su Qing.

After listening, Su Qing raised an eyebrow slightly.

"You said... you tricked a monkey into joining the troop? And made him worship me as king?" Su Qing asked.

"Yes, yes. That monkey was so foolish, he actually let us trick him into joining the troop!"

"Sister Xiao Qing, aren't we amazing! We've added another mighty general for Sister Xiao Qing!"

"Yes, yes! We're amazing! We're not stupid sparrows who can't trick anyone!"

Su Qing looked at the sparrows, her mouth twitching slightly. If her guess was correct, the monkey they tricked... Was most likely the Stone Monkey who had just been born. With the speaking ability of these sparrows. Only the Stone Monkey, like a blank sheet of paper, could be so easily tricked. Just look at their past achievements and you'd know. Moreover, the only monkey who came here today... should be that Stone Monkey. Su Qing looked at these sparrows, who were so proud of tricking a newborn child... she felt quite helpless. She could only grab one and knead it a bit, saying:

"You really did me a great favor! Shouldn't I praise you properly?"

"Hehehe! Sister Xiao Qing doesn't need to praise us, doesn't need to praise us. It's what we should do!"

"Yes, yes. It's not just Sister Leng Xiang who can share Sister Xiao Qing's worries!"

"We can too, we can too!"

The sparrows completely missed Su Qing's underlying meaning, thinking she was praising them, and couldn't help but be very happy. Su Qing looked at these silly sparrows. She was both annoyed and amused...

"Oh well, oh well, let's take it one step at a time! Perhaps, this is also a kind of destiny?" Su Qing thought helplessly. Actually, on second thought, this was a good thing. At the very least, the Stone Monkey successfully integrated into the monkey troop, and it was the troop outside the Water Curtain Cave that was close to her. As for how to hand over the Monkey King's position to the Stone Monkey later... That would be a matter for later. She would decide once she had thought it through. For now, what the sparrows had done couldn't be considered a disservice. Moreover, if the Stone Monkey became acquainted with these little guys and became friends... It should be easier to ask him for help in the future.
