A compressed Acid Bullet shot toward the Ore Dragon at extreme speed.
Clad in its heavy lava armor, the Ore Dragon was clearly hard-pressed to dodge such an attack.
It could only ignore Zoe's attack, relying on its lava layer to tank the hit as it charged headlong once again like a heavy tank.
A massive amount of lava constantly poured from its mouth.
Before the Heart-Piercing Bullet that pierced the lava layer could corrode any further, it was covered up again by the flowing lava.
The lava armor on the Ore Dragon's body was not completely solidified.
Instead, it was a semi-solid, flowing substance.
Once an attack penetrated the lava armor, the surrounding lava would flow on its own to reseal the breach.
“Roar!”
The Ore Dragon knocked over a stone pillar and spat out lava once more.
At this point, Zoe noticed that most of the ground had already been covered by the scorching-hot lava.
If this continued, Zoe and the shadow wolf would lose their footing entirely.
'He isn't just mindlessly wasting magic power to spit out this lava. This guy is creating a home-field advantage for himself!'
“Lord Zoe, should we retreat?”
Dark Wolf, just like Zoe, could see that the situation was turning more and more in the Ore Dragon's favor.
After all, it was a sub-dragon. No monster associated with giant dragons was ever easy to deal with.
Despite expending so much magic power, more than half of the Ore Dragon's massive total capacity still remained.
Leaving such a massive threat in his territory was simply too unsafe.
On top of that, the iron ore mining would also be affected.
He could feel his remaining lifespan of over a hundred years.
'Since you're using your massive pool of magic power to annoy me, you'd better be prepared to be annoyed in the exact same way.'
'Perfect. I've used the Withered State so many times; it's about time I tried the Fruit State. That way, I won't be caught off guard when I have to use it in an emergency.'
Fruit State, activate!
In an instant, Dark Wolf felt the fur all over his body ruffled by a sudden gust of wind as an immense aura of magic power erupted from Zoe.
Zoe's current magic power capacity was 3641.
Lv.3 Fruit State would directly increase his magic power by four times his total capacity.
In other words, it would directly grant Zoe an additional 14,564 points of magic power!
This aura of magic power completely overwhelmed the Ore Dragon's own massive magic aura.
“Roar!!”
The Ore Dragon let out an uncertain roar, and then charged forward like a heavy tank once more.
Suppressing his inner shock, Dark Wolf swiftly carried Zoe on his back to dodge this clumsy charge.
“Puji.”
「Dark Wolf, use Shadow Binding.」
“Yes.”
Landing on the ground, the shadow wolf activated his ability.
Innumerable shadow tentacles emerged from the shadow beneath the Ore Dragon, tightly wrapping around it.
Its heavy body was pinned firmly to the ground by the countless shadow tentacles.
“Howl!”
With a roar, the lava covering the Ore Dragon's entire body burst into a blinding fiery glow!
The pitch-black shadows rapidly faded in color, and the solid tentacles began to disperse.
But that brief moment of restraint was more than enough for Zoe to unleash his spell.
Acid...
Wave!
In an instant, a wave of acid resembling a vast ocean tide was spewed from Zoe's mouth!
This single blow directly consumed 6,000 magic power.
Under the stiff, stunned gaze of the Ore Dragon, the massive wave of acid crashed down heavily upon it.
Boom!
With a deafening boom, cracks were blasted across the lava armor covering the Ore Dragon's entire body.
Seeping through the fissures, the acid rapidly corroded both the Ore Dragon's lava armor and its body.
The torrential flow of acid also extinguished the surrounding lava, creating a zone of absolute corrosion.
Acrid white smoke constantly billowed, and the rocks continued to dissolve.
Struggling to clamber up from the ground, the Ore Dragon desperately tried to scramble out of the acid-drenched zone of corrosion.
The lava armor on its body had been completely eaten away, leaving it directly exposed to the air. Its body, made of iron ore, was also riddled with holes from the corrosion and sending up plumes of white smoke.
This time, the Ore Dragon did not charge toward Zoe.
Instead, it turned its head and slammed into the stone wall behind it, attempting to flee.
A single Acid Wave attack had completely shattered its defenses, leaving it severely damaged by the corrosion.
Zoe, on the other hand, was now overflowing with magic power, his magical aura reaching a terrifying level.
Possessing a decent level of intelligence, the Ore Dragon naturally realized the tide had turned, and had no intention of continuing to fight.
“Puji!”
Zoe hopped off Dark Wolf's back, landing with a splat on the acid-slicked ground as he charged toward the Ore Dragon.
Dark Wolf also let out a wolf howl, channeling his power to summon shadow tentacles from the Ore Dragon's shadow to bind it once again.
“Roar!”
The Ore Dragon let out a deafening roar and whipped its head around to spit searing lava.
While charging at the Ore Dragon, Zoe chose this moment to exhale the corrosive gas he had accumulated.
Corrosive Gas Slash!
The sharp, corrosive slash cut diagonally toward the Ore Dragon's chest.
Having already lost its protective layer to corrosion, how could the Ore Dragon possibly block Zoe's full-strength attack?
The corroded layer of ore was instantly sliced open. Fragments of ore crumbled and fell as fresh blood sprayed from the wound, exposing even its iron-like sternum under the force of the strike.
“Aoo!!”
Wailing in pain, the Ore Dragon swung its tail, slamming it toward Zoe.
With the lava armor on its body eaten away, the Ore Dragon's agility was far higher than before.
This tail whip left only a blur in the air, seemingly on the verge of crushing Zoe.
Seeing this from a distance, Dark Wolf swiftly rushed forward from the other side, his entire body turning into shadow to merge with the Ore Dragon's shadow.
Shadow Bind!
By turning one's body into shadow and merging it into the enemy's shadow, one could summon extremely high-strength shadow bindings to restrict the enemy's movements!
The tail the Ore Dragon had swung was bound in place by the pitch-black shadow, which creaked ominously like a taut rope.
Zoe could feel Dark Wolf's magical aura within the shadows rapidly weakening.
It was the result of a rapid expenditure of magic power.
Without wasting a moment, Zoe leapt toward the Ore Dragon, spreading his body out like a giant net to wrap around it.
Corrode, Digest!
While digesting the ore layers on the Ore Dragon's body, he did everything he could to seep his slime through the wounds and deep into the ore layers, corroding the beast from the inside out.
“Aowu!”
Letting out a tragic wail, the Ore Dragon shredded the shadows covering its body, breaking free from Dark Wolf's binding.
At the same time, it rammed straight through the stone wall, burrowing down rapidly like a mole and scraping its body against the jagged rock strata in an attempt to tear Zoe off.
“Lord Zoe!”
Gazing at the tunnel the Ore Dragon had excavated, Dark Wolf swiftly pursued through the shadows.
Zoe's body was constantly squeezed and scraped, but he did not panic in the slightest.
Supported by his immense pool of magic power, [High-speed Regeneration] did not stop for even a single second, restoring any wounds on his body in the blink of an eye.
Meanwhile, a massive flow of acid was endlessly injected by Zoe into the Ore Dragon's wounds.
It was time to end this!
Looking at the spine he had exposed through corrosion on the Ore Dragon's neck, Zoe gathered the freshly generated corrosive gas inside his body.
Since the Ore Dragon was covered in a vast amount of acid, a constant stream of corrosive gas was being produced.
And because Zoe could directly absorb this corrosive gas to accelerate its accumulation, he was already fully charged.
Corrosive Gas Slash!
A sharp Corrosive Gas Slash was unleashed by Zoe right against the Ore Dragon's neck.
The exposed spine was sliced clean through, leaving the Ore Dragon's head connected to its body by only a thin layer of flesh and skin.
Yet even so, the Ore Dragon did not stop, maintaining its monstrous vitality.
Although the decapitated Ore Dragon could no longer wail, its body carried Zoe and slammed heavily into the adjacent stone wall, shattering itself and exploding into a burst of flesh and blood under the impact.
In an instant, the structure of the severely impacted stone wall began to fracture.
“This guy...”
Zoe watched the cracks rapidly spreading in all directions, suddenly realizing the creature's final intent.
It had wanted to carry him as deep underground as possible to bury him alive.
