Chapter 32 | Miss Destiny's Speedrun Manual

The transition from Rank Three to Rank Four was a qualitative leap, transcending mortal status to step directly into the realm of an "extraordinary creature." Firearms had already begun to lose their effectiveness against War Freya. It had to be said that this was rather exaggerated.

Moreover, Life Freya also discovered that the strength of War Freya's internal organs far surpassed that of an ordinary person. After all, to keep such a powerful body running efficiently, the strength of its internal components had to be up to standard.

With a simple estimation, War Freya's heart and lung strength was at least dozens of times that of an ordinary person. This allowed her to generate a massive amount of energy during intense exercise, enough to run a train.

If that was not intuitive enough, to put it another way, even if War Freya gouged out her own heart and someone shot at it, they might not be able to pierce it. This heart was bulletproof!

Remember the Adjutant's "Full-Force Strike" that instantly killed Euphemia and could even one-shot Life Freya? If that attack landed on the current War Freya, it would at most cause a serious injury. And that was an attack from a dying Adjutant with a fully stacked Blood Rage buff. If it were a normal Full-Force Strike, it would at most cause a minor injury.

Conversely, after the Adjutant ran out of skills and exhausted his scarce spirituality, an injured War Freya could absolutely rush over and tear him into several pieces with her bare hands.

While pondering, Life Freya quickly realized another even more ridiculous thing. Through her "Lifeform Modification" ability, she could completely record War Freya's bodily organs and physical structure, and then replicate them onto Life Freya or her real body, thereby giving them a similar level of physical strength.

However, when it came to whether she should replicate it onto her real body, she hesitated. At first glance, this seemed like a beneficial thing with no downsides. But once she actually did it, she would destroy her real body's status as a "pure-blooded, pure human," turning it into an "extraordinary creature" with a War Pathway style. Would this affect her real body drinking other potions in the future?

Freya thought about it and felt the probability was very high. Moreover, she now felt that being a pure, ordinary human was still an advantage in certain special situations, so she decided not to do it.

After all, if she really wanted to make her real body stronger, wouldn't it be more convenient to just overwrite her real body with a save slot and make it an extraordinary?

With the ability of future simulation and these two powerful clones that could be summoned anytime and anywhere, Freya felt that even if her real body was an ordinary human, she shouldn't encounter any danger.

After roughly studying War Freya's abilities, it was already past midnight. Freya glanced at the system, which had entered a fifteen-hour cooldown, and prepared to rest.

Freya decisively recalled War Freya back into the system. However, as she looked at Life Freya and caught the faint fragrance wafting from her other self, she immediately made a decision: she would use this other self as a body pillow and sleep while hugging Life Freya tonight!

Freya naturally had the habit of sleeping while hugging something at night. In the past, she would squeeze the quilt, but now she had a higher quality, fragrant, and soft body pillow. Furthermore, no matter how she hugged or held "her," she wouldn't object. Could there be anything better than this?

The two "selves" didn't need to communicate at all. They began to undress and crawled under the covers. Freya's rented room was very small, and the bed was only a single bed. Fortunately, she was on the petite side, so even with two people sharing a single bed, it didn't feel cramped.

Her two selves pressed tightly against each other, their four legs tangled together. However, rather than saying Freya was using her other self as a body pillow, it was more like the two of them were using each other as body pillows.

Freya: A fragrant and soft Earth Pathway clone, hehe~

Life Freya: A super cute real body, hehe~

Time quickly moved to the next day. Freya woke up early. She was a very quiet sleeper and barely moved; whatever posture she fell asleep in last night was the posture she was in now.

Freya first got up and washed up normally, then summoned the War Freya clone. She planned to have both clones stay at home for now, letting Life Freya thoroughly study War Freya's physical structure first. As for herself, she prepared to recreate her first encounter with Euphemia.

It was worth mentioning that after taking a couple of steps out the door, Freya suddenly felt that the sensation under her feet was wrong. Only then did she realize she wasn't wearing shoes. She had completely formed a habit of not wearing them. She hurriedly returned home to put on her shoes. Her real body didn't have Life Freya's extraordinary abilities, so she definitely still had to wear shoes and socks normally.

Still on the way to the Church of the Earth, at the same time and place, at the crossroads, Freya saw Euphemia's figure, looking around and appearing completely out of place with the surrounding crowd.

After seeing her, the other party quickly approached on her own initiative. Euphemia took off her hat, bowed slightly, and made a very gentlemanly gesture, saying, “My, super-cute lady, you look so worried. Have you run into some trouble? Why don't you tell me? Great Detective 【Euphemia】 is at your service~”

Looking at this incredibly familiar scene before her, for some reason, the corners of Freya's eyes actually grew a bit moist.

Even though she hadn't reacted too strongly when she watched Euphemia die right before her eyes in the simulation, she felt like she could barely hold it back now.

Perhaps to Freya, the "parting" in the simulation was fake, but right now, the "reunion" in reality was as real as it could get.

“Eh?” Seeing Freya's reaction, Euphemia was instantly stunned. “Eh? Eh? What happened? Are you okay?”

After all, in Euphemia's eyes, she had simply spotted a super-cute beautiful girl and came over to strike up a conversation. Why did the other party look like she was about to cry?

Freya rubbed the corners of her eyes with her hand, then took a deep breath, shook her head, and said, “I'm fine. My name is Freya. It's nice to meet you.”

Actually, counting the time spent in the simulation, Freya and Euphemia had only known each other for about ten days. This was definitely not a long time. However, the relationship between two people wasn't defined by being friends only if you knew each other for a year or two, and not being friends if you only knew each other for ten days or half a month.

To Freya, Euphemia was the first good friend she made after transmigrating into this world, and moreover, a life-saving friend who had taken a blade for her.

As for Amy, to Freya, Amy was someone who was very good to the original owner of her body—a very familiar stranger, a very close classmate. If she had to compare, Amy certainly couldn't match up to Euphemia.

However, Freya's reaction made Euphemia even more puzzled. Through her micro-expression observation, she reached a very strange conclusion: the girl in front of her knew her and was extremely happy to see her. But that didn't make sense, did it? She had a very good memory, and this was absolutely the first time she was meeting Freya.

But out of rigorous habit, Euphemia still asked, “Have we met before?”

Freya shook her head. “We haven't met in the past, but we've met in the future.”

A question mark couldn't help but pop up on Euphemia's forehead. Her mind was filled with: Wait, sister, what on earth are you talking about?

Normally, two strangers meeting for the first time should have some guard up. As the saying goes, "do not harbor intent to harm others, but never fail to guard against them." But to Freya, she already knew Euphemia was someone she could trust. So there was no need to keep hiding things at this moment. She said directly:

“Euphe... mia, last year, your family wanted you to drink a Law Pathway potion and work at the Special Service. But you refused, and then you fed this potion to your family's parrot, only to end up getting beaten up by the parrot.”

“In the end, with your grandfather's support, you drank a Scholar Pathway potion, left home, and came to this city to become a private detective...”

“Stop, stop, stop!” Euphemia was completely dumbfounded. Feeling bewildered, flustered, and a bit ashamed, she said, “Wait, how do you know all this!?”

Euphemia felt as if she had gone up to strike up a conversation with a beautiful girl, wanting to get her contact info and get to know her, only for the other party to turn around and expose something like what age she was still wetting the bed at home. Who wouldn't be dumbfounded by that?

Freya said, “The future you told me all of it~”

“Huh?” Euphemia was even more bewildered. But on second thought, the possibility was actually not low. After all, only a few people knew about this. Her parents, her grandfather, and that parrot were all in the capital of the Kingdom of Tarapaca, not in this city at all. Naturally, they couldn't have told this unfamiliar girl.

Besides, why would those elders randomly share Euphemia's embarrassing stories with others when they had nothing better to do? So, the person most likely to tell someone else about this was indeed Euphemia herself.

Euphemia said, “Are you an extraordinary of the Destiny Pathway?”

Because as far as she knew, abilities related to "predicting the future" seemed to only belong to extraordinaries of that pathway.

Freya said, “No, I'm not an extraordinary yet. And as for how exactly I know the future, I'm sorry, but I can't tell you. But please believe me, I bear you no ill will.”

Something like a system was simply too sensitive. Freya couldn't possibly tell anyone about it.

“Alright, alright.” Euphemia scratched her cheek with her index finger, gradually recovering from her bewilderment. She said, “So, Miss Freya, did you look for me for a specific reason?”

Freya tilted her head slightly. “What do you mean by me looking for you? Didn't you come over to strike up a conversation with me?”

Euphemia paused, realizing that was indeed the case. However, as they talked, Freya had completely taken the initiative. Euphemia said, “So, uh... did the future me tell you such important things and ask you to talk to me because there's some matter at hand?”

Freya said, “How about we find a quiet place first and chat slowly?”

Euphemia naturally had no objections. Just like that, the two found a quiet café nearby. After scanning the menu, Euphemia pushed it in front of Freya and asked, “What would you like to drink?”

Freya didn't know much about coffee. Compared to that, she preferred milk tea. However, there didn't seem to be milk tea in this era and country—at least, she hadn't seen any yet. So she said, “I haven't really had coffee before, so I don't know what tastes good. I'll just have the same as you.”

Euphemia nodded, waved over the waiter, and handed back the menu while saying, “Two special Black Rose coffees.”

The waiter bowed slightly and said, “Please wait a moment, they will be ready shortly.”

Only then did Euphemia look at Freya. “Can you tell me now?”

The two were originally sitting opposite each other with a small round wooden table between them. But Freya dragged her chair over next to Euphemia, organized her thoughts, lowered her voice, and said, “Simply put, a disaster that will sweep across the entire city will break out in twenty-nine days. We worked together to try to stop it, but we failed.”

“Ah? What?” Hearing this, Euphemia was taken aback. She said, “I usually only take on small commissions like finding cats and dogs or lost items. Are you sure I would accept such a terrifyingly huge case?”

But as she spoke, Euphemia paused and hesitated, “Well, it actually seems quite possible. What then? What did we find out from our investigation?”

Freya said, “We've pretty much investigated everything. The mastermind is a kingdom general named Jerome, a Rank Five of the War Pathway whose class advancement is General. He also has an Adjutant under him who is a Rank Four of the War Pathway, with the Hunter class.”

“General Jerome has three strongholds. The first is a dilapidated blue warehouse on Sanheng Street in the southern part of the city. In essence, it's a factory producing Devil Pathway potions. Jerome has his summoned soldiers distribute these potions everywhere to distract the Special Service and cover up his true purpose.”

“The second stronghold is the back mountain of Cobdo National Academy. It is essentially the core of a super-large occult array capable of burning down the entire city. The third stronghold is right next to your house, Euphemia. Jerome is your neighbor.”

Throughout the explanation, Euphemia maintained a blank expression with her mouth slightly open, as if someone had cast a petrification curse on her. She remained completely motionless until the waiter came over with two cups of coffee and placed them in front of them. Only then did she slowly snap out of it.

Euphemia said, “Wait, you mean... what you just said is what General Jerome is going to do over the next twenty-nine days?”

Freya picked up her coffee, took a tiny sip, and couldn't help but make a pained expression, sticking out her little tongue. At the same time, she said, “Mmh~ Yes, it should be.”
