After thinking it over, Mind Freya felt as if these memories were... from a parallel world version of herself? Or rather, as if she had used the system's future simulation for the second time and never exited, and things just naturally developed this way?
Needless to say, just by watching these memories, Mind Freya could feel the pain of the young girl. The feeling of watching the people around her leave one by one while she remained completely powerless was simply too despairing.
Mind Freya muttered, “So, this memory check didn't really clear anything up, but instead brought up a whole new puzzle?”
Strange memories that seemingly came from a parallel world.
Afterward, Mind Freya wandered around her inner world again to see if there was anything else she had missed. As she walked, she eventually reached the edge of this inner world.
As mentioned before, this inner world was an island wrapped in a bubble, floating in a void—though it wasn't actually a true, complete void.
Standing at the edge of her world and looking out, Mind Freya could see bright, star-like objects. These were actually the inner worlds of other people.
Normally, if Mind Freya wanted to enter someone else's inner world, she needed close contact with the target. But right now, if she could leave her own inner world, cross this void, and enter another's inner world, she would be able to modify a stranger's memories without ever touching them. It would be the perfect crime.
However, the distance between each person's inner world was too vast, and Mind Freya couldn't fly. Once she left her own world, she would fall endlessly. Thus, it was an incredibly difficult task.
Then, Mind Freya couldn't help but recall Luna's theory that "advancing from Rank Three to Rank Four is not a class advancement, but a disassembly." A Mind Reader combined with a Memory Thief could drag more people into the past together. What if it was a Mind Reader combined with a Dragon Warrior?
Would she then possess the ability to 'fly' in this conscious world, allowing her to fly away from her inner world to other places?
Furthermore, didn't a Dragon Warrior also have an ability called Mind Breath, which could dissolve people's memories and consciousness? If she used Mind Breath in this conscious world right now and aimed it at the outer bubble barrier of someone's inner world, wouldn't it have an incredibly powerful effect?
Thinking about it this way, combining different class advancements of the same pathway was definitely not as simple as one plus one equals two. The strength they could exert would far exceed two. She just didn't know how these dual-pathway extraordinaries actually achieved it. In any case, they certainly couldn't just drink another potion right after finishing one.
Either they made some modifications to the potions, or they did some other preparations before drinking them, such as an advancement ritual. At any rate, if Freya wanted to create a dual-pathway or even a triple-pathway clone right now, it was probably impossible.
Honestly, Mind Freya felt that if she wanted to take the multi-pathway route, the quickest way right now would be to find the Society of Truth and find a way to join them.
After all, she couldn't just expect Euphy to research the secrets of multi-pathways from scratch. Honestly, even if Freya didn't plan on taking the Scholar Pathway in the future and had already decided to dump all her problems on Euphy to solve, this particular problem was simply too absurd.
While pondering, Mind Freya pulled her gaze back from the 'stars' outside and looked down beneath her inner world. It was pitch-black, like an endless void, with nothing in sight.
Yet, Mind Freya always felt that there should be a ground or something down there. Moreover, whenever she entertained the thought of jumping out of her inner world to check beneath it, a sense of danger would well up inside her, as if something incredibly terrifying was hidden down below.
“As expected, my current rank is still too low. If I get stronger, maybe once I reach Rank Five or even Rank Six, I'll be able to go down and take a look.”
Feeling that there was nothing else to explore, Mind Freya deactivated her ability, left the conscious space, and returned to the real world.
Even though she had stayed in her inner world for so long, only a few minutes had passed in the outside world. The flow of time in the inner world and the real world was clearly different.
Just then, Euphy returned to the room carrying several books, and the first thing she saw was the scene of 【Three Freyas in One Room】.
Freya herself was resting her head on Mind Freya's lap, while Life Freya knelt behind Mind Freya, placing her hands on her shoulders to replenish her spirituality.
Euphy's lips twitched slightly. “Fufu... what are you doing?”
Freya said, “My Mind Pathway clone reached Rank Four, didn't she? I was testing her abilities and took the opportunity to look at my own memories. I didn't find any traces of them being modified, but I did discover another strange thing.”
“Euphy, I know how you died in the 【Auxerre Fire】 【ten years ago】. I seem to have... seen the memories of that timeline.”
Euphemia said, “Do you mean that strange timeline that exists ten years in the past? Coincidentally, I've also investigated some information regarding the Three Temporal Pathways.”
After a pause, she continued, “The Prophet class advancement of the Destiny Pathway gains the ability to 【Enter the Future】 at Rank Five. However, just like the Memory Thief's 【Dive into the Past】, this ability only allows oneself to enter the future, and anything done in the future cannot affect reality.”
Even so, it was an incredibly powerful ability. Moreover, Prophets also possessed the ability of 'divination'. When Freya ran her future simulations, she was only one person, so if something happened and she didn't happen to be nearby, she would miss it and naturally remain unaware of it.
But if an extraordinary of the Prophet pathway was in a false future, they could continuously use divination, obtaining information that was even more comprehensive than Freya's.
Euphemia said, “However, when they first obtain this ability, due to the consumption of spirituality, a Prophet generally cannot stay in this future for too long. Furthermore, they cannot bring things back from the future into reality like you do.”
“Not only at Rank Five, but even at Rank Six, they can't do it. Therefore, Fufu, your ability is at least at the strength of Rank Seven of the Prophet pathway. In other words... this is the authority of a demigod. And since this authority doesn't affect your consumption of potions from other pathways, it means the medium for this authority is not you yourself, but something on your person.”
