After the warm-up segment wrapped up, the second game was a chemistry Q&A.
The host asked the staff to bring out four answer boards. Jiang Yue and Chen Jiaming formed one team, while Han Song and Xu Pingqiu formed the other.
“First question: Who in the cast and crew of 《The Hidden Sentry》 is most prone to ad-libbing or changing scenes on the spot?”
Jiang Yue and Chen Jiaming both wrote down “Director Xu” at the same time.
On the other side, Han Song wrote “Jiang Yue,” while Xu Pingqiu wrote “Han Song.”
When the four boards were revealed, the audience erupted in laughter. The four of them had somehow managed to write down three different answers.
Han Song immediately protested on the spot. “Director, speak with a clear conscience. When have I ever randomly changed a scene?”
Xu Pingqiu glanced at him. “You don't change the scenes; you just change your tone, your delivery, and your positioning, and then you always act like you didn't change anything.”
Han Song choked on his words.
From the side, Jiang Yue chimed in, “Brother Han calls that creative performance.”
Han Song immediately whipped around to point at him. “Don't think I can't tell you're taking a dig at me. You're not any better yourself!”
Second question: “If Zhou Jinnan and Lu Cheng started a company together, who would manage the finances?”
Jiang Yue wrote “Lu Cheng,” and Chen Jiaming wrote “Lu Cheng” as well.
The host asked for their reasons.
Jiang Yue replied very seriously, “If Zhou Jinnan managed the money, the books would look great, but you'd have no idea where the cash actually went.”
Chen Jiaming nodded. “If Lu Cheng managed the money, at least you'd know exactly who took it when it went missing.”
Xu Pingqiu couldn't help but burst out laughing. “You two have really understood your characters inside out.”
Third question: “Who is the best at saving money in the crew?”
All four boards were raised at the same time.
Written neatly across every single one was: Director Xu.
The smile on Xu Pingqiu's face slowly vanished, replaced by a thoroughly unamused expression.
The laughter from the audience surged in waves, barely stopping for a moment.
Holding his board, Han Song didn't forget to explain, “We're not slandering the director here; we're just respecting the facts. Our Director Xu can shoot three different camera angles with a single brick. Compared to us actors, he's definitely much more budget-conscious.”
Jiang Yue tried to smooth things over. “Actually, camera setups are very expensive, and some shots can't be repeated, so it's normal to use multiple camera angles at once.”
Xu Pingqiu picked up his microphone. “Thank you. Tomorrow's promotional headline is sorted: ‘The Hidden Sentry Director Carries the National Day Holiday Slot with a Single Brick.’”
The host was laughing so hard she could barely keep the program moving, so she quickly transitioned to the fan Q&A segment.
The first selected fan stood up. “I want to ask Jiang Yue: What was the hardest part about playing the character Zhou Jinnan?”
Putting his playful attitude away, Jiang Yue answered seriously, “The hardest part is that most of the time, he can't show his true emotions. Even when he's saving someone, he has to act like he's harming them. So when playing him, I had to first understand what he truly wanted to do deep down, and then act out the exact opposite on the surface.”
The second question was directed at Chen Jiaming. “Teacher Chen, what exactly is the relationship between Lu Cheng and Zhou Jinnan?”
Chen Jiaming pondered for a moment. “Enemies, rivals, and perhaps... the people who understand each other best in this world.”
Another low murmur of surprise rippled through the audience.
Han Song picked up his microphone to chime in. “Then what about me? What is Fu Xiao?”
Chen Jiaming glanced at him. “A necessary obstacle that hinders the plot's progression, I suppose.”
Han Song clutched his chest as if struck by a blade, a dramatic gesture that sent the fans into fits of laughter once again.
The atmosphere in the theater was thoroughly warmed up once more.
After several rounds of games, the audience's excitement had reached a fever pitch.
The large screen dimmed, and the highly anticipated ultimate trailer began to play. At the same time, the trailer was released online.
Light and shadow danced across the screen in a fast-paced montage. When the scene cut to the final showdown in the warehouse, the entire audience held their breath.
Under the flickering, swaying incandescent lights, the eyes of Zhou Jinnan, played by Jiang Yue, were cold as ice.
He dropped his suitcase with clean efficiency, drew his gun, intercepted a wrist, and struck a neck. The sequence of movements was incredibly fluid, culminating in him pinning Fu Xiao, played by Han Song, against the door of a Ford car.
The crisp, mechanical sound of a round chambering synchronized perfectly with the background sound effects, elevating the aesthetic of violence to its peak.
As the video ended, a brief second of silence hung over the theater before thunderous applause erupted.
The host stepped back to the center of the stage right on cue, an excited smile on her face. “That action sequence was just spectacular to watch! Our backstage crew just passed over some real-time feedback, and both the media group and the comments section are asking: Are Zhou Jinnan's moves real or fake? Since both Teacher Jiang Yue and Teacher Han Song are here today, I wonder if you could satisfy everyone's curiosity and recreate a bit of this highlight moment live on stage?”
“Fight! Fight! Fight!”
The fans below immediately seized the opportunity, cheering and chanting enthusiastically.
The cameras for the venue's large screen precisely cut to close-ups of their faces.
Gripping his microphone, Jiang Yue turned his head to look at Han Song with a smile, his eyes completely innocent.
Han Song's lips twitched violently. He leaned closer to Jiang Yue and hissed through his teeth in a voice only the two of them could hear, “We have a deal, alright? Fake fighting, slow motion, just to look cool! If you dare to use real force, I'm never letting you off!”
Jiang Yue replied in a low voice, “Don't worry. Just the stage version.”
Yet, when Han Song straightened up to face the audience, a highly arrogant grin spread across his face.
He raised his microphone and declared with full confidence, “Since everyone is so enthusiastic, I'll give Fu Xiao a chance to turn the tables. He might have won in the drama, but in real life, nothing is set in stone!”
The entire audience burst into laughter.
Su Binxuan and Chen Yunjie tactfully stepped back, leaving the center of the stage to the two of them.
Meanwhile, Chen Jiaming crossed his arms and retreated to the edge of the stage, watching with relaxed amusement.
Xu Pingqiu stood on the other side as well, wearing a grin that showed he loved a good spectacle, looking like a smiling tiger.
Chen Jiaming knew exactly what was going on. With Han Song's show-off personality paired with Jiang Yue's unpredictable nature, today's performance would likely be even more exciting than the actual film.
Without any props, the two stood empty-handed, spaced three steps apart.
“Teacher Han Song, are you ready?”
The host sensibly stepped aside, leaving the stage entirely to them.
Han Song took a deep breath, focused his energy, and assumed a highly professional offensive stance.
He planned to start with a stylish joint-lock entry. The movement would be clean and broad, allowing him to showcase his skills while giving Jiang Yue plenty of room to counter, ensuring the fight looked great and interactive.
Dropping his right shoulder, his left hand formed a claw shape and lunged directly for Jiang Yue's collar with a gust of wind.
He had secretly practiced this specific move in private, and it was incredibly flashy.
The moment Han Song lunged forward, a glint of mischief flashed in Jiang Yue's eyes.
Instead of meeting force with force, he didn't even attempt to block. With a light step, his left foot slid back half a pace, and he tilted his body at a highly flexible angle to dodge.
Han Song's confident grab barely grazed the lapel of Jiang Yue's suit, catching nothing but air.
It all happened far too quickly.
The media reporters in the front row had been ready to capture the moment of confrontation, but their lenses only caught a slight blur as Jiang Yue slipped past to the side.
Before Han Song could recover or change his stance, Jiang Yue's right hand had already slid up his arm, his fingers lightly resting against the side of Han Song's wrist.
He held the side of the wrist, avoiding the joint. Although the movement looked incredibly fast, most of the force actually applied to Han Song was completely neutralized.
A split second later, Jiang Yue flicked his wrist, redirecting Han Song's forward momentum with a clever twist of force.
Using his right foot as a pivot, he leveraged Han Song's own momentum to spin his body half a turn, like a crisp, synchronized couple's dance.
Han Song felt a sudden rotational force. His body spun around completely against his will, his mind going blank for a second.
Before he could process what was happening, his back gently pressed against Jiang Yue's chest.
At some point, Jiang Yue's left arm had slipped through his elbow joint while his right hand remained locked on Han Song's wrist, securing him in a half-lock pose that resembled the dramatic finish of a tango.
The entire sequence was seamless, swift, and beautiful, looking less like an impromptu demonstration and more like a carefully choreographed stage routine.
The entire audience, including the experienced entertainment reporters and bloggers, was left utterly dumbfounded.
The silence didn't last long. A girl in the fan section screamed with all her might, “Ahhh! That was so cool!”
The scream acted as a catalyst, instantly setting the entire venue ablaze.
Cheers, whistles, and applause crashed down in waves, nearly raising the roof of the Grand Theatre.
Camera flashes strobed continuously, freezing the dramatic scene in time: Jiang Yue holding a wide-eyed Han Song in a relaxed, loose lock, their pose looking incredibly stylish yet carrying a trace of bizarre harmony.
