Chapter 125 | My Beast Taming Space Hides a Gacha Pool

On Sunday morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, and Liu Yi slowly opened her eyes from meditation.

Ziyue was already awake, perched on the windowsill, watching the scenery outside, her two tails swaying leisurely.

Chiying, meanwhile, was coiled by her pillow, breathing steadily, the golden patterns on her body subtly flickering with each breath.

Liu Yi gently rose, careful not to disturb Chiying.

After returning from the training base last night, both pets were quite exhausted. Although they had mostly recovered after treatment and rest, it was always good to let them sleep a little longer.

She walked to her desk, opened her notebook from last night, and continued to add reflections on her battle with Xu Yukun:

The Winged Blade Eagle's Aurora Slash is a speed-type attack skill with an almost unreactable attack speed.

Response strategies: 1. Predict its trajectory and block its path with area-of-effect skills; 2. Use obstacles or terrain to restrict its straight-line charge space; 3. Can Chiying's True Dragon's Eye see through its attack trajectory? This needs to be tested.

Ziyue's Ice Soul Awakening activation timing: the last-moment awakening proved she still had untapped potential under high pressure.

However, the awakened state has a limited duration, so maximizing output during this time requires further training.

Chiying's paralysis issue after Rising Dragon Strike: its power is immense, but the side effects are significant. When using it in the future, I must ensure there's teammate cover or confirm it can secure a one-shot victory.

After writing the last line, Liu Yi put down her pen and checked the time: seven in the morning.

Her phone suddenly vibrated with a message from Wei Xiuyu.

【Teacher Wei: Data for other schools in the Monte Competition Zone has been sent to your school email. Study it carefully today, and contact me anytime if you have questions.】

Liu Yi immediately opened her laptop and logged into her school email.

A new email lay quietly in her inbox, titled, '【Top Secret】Monte Competition Zone Participating School Data (as of September 27th)', sent by the School Team coaching staff.

She clicked on the attachment, and an eighty-plus-page PDF document slowly loaded.

“So much…” Liu Yi murmured softly to herself.

The document began with a table of contents, categorized by school, with each school featuring detailed contestant information, pet data, and past performance analysis.

She quickly scanned the school names in the table of contents.

Monte Beast Taming Academy (Monte Region local)

Skywing High School (Monte Region local)

Fugang Beast Taming High School (Monte Region local)

Blazing Sun High School (Yongyang Region)

Golden Scale Academy (Jinhuai Region)

...

The sheer number of school names was dizzying.

“118 schools, 15 contestants per school…” Liu Yi quickly calculated, “That’s 1,770 participants.”

She took a deep breath and began to read seriously.

The first section of the document was an overall situation analysis, with key information highlighted in striking red font.

【Overall Strength Assessment of the Monte Competition Zone】

· Total Participating Schools: 118 (27 local to Monte Region, 91 from other regions)

· Total Contestants: 1,770 (590 first-years, 590 second-years, 590 third-years)

· Contestants with Advanced rank pets: 9 third-years, 1 first-year

· Contestants with two Intermediate stage pets: 32 first-years, 186 second-years, all third-years

· Note: The above data is derived from registration information submitted by each school and past performance analysis, and is for reference only. It does not rule out the possibility of some contestants hiding their true strength.

“Nine third-years with Advanced pets…” Liu Yi repeated the number thoughtfully.

This meant that among over a hundred schools and thousands of contestants, only a single digit number truly stood at the pinnacle of combat strength.

As a first-year, if she could encounter and defeat a third-year in a match, she would earn 20 points in a single battle, which was almost the total points from two first-year versus first-year matches.

Of course, the prerequisite was actually winning.

She continued to scroll down, and the document proceeded to detailed information on each school.

According to the coaching staff’s annotations, several schools were specially marked as “key attention”.

The first was Monte Beast Taming Academy.

【Monte Beast Taming Academy · Overall Assessment】

A long-standing powerhouse in the Monte Region, it reached the Top 4 in last year's National High School League third-year segment team competition. The school is known for cultivating Beast Tamers adapted to high-altitude combat, and most of its contestants are skilled at utilizing floating island terrain.

· Contestants: 15 (5 third-years, 5 second-years, 5 first-years)

· Contestants with Advanced pets: 2 (both third-years)

· Overall tactical style: Three-dimensional combat utilizing floating island terrain, with most pets possessing flight capability or special movement methods.

Liu Yi turned to the school's contestant details page, her gaze falling upon the two third-years who owned Advanced pets.

【Contestant: Yun Wangqing (third-year)】

· Pet 1: Cloudwing Dragon (Dragon and Flying type, Advanced rank)

· Note: Ranked fifth among third-years in the Monte Region. The Rockwing Giant Lizard's 'Boulder Drop' can unleash extraordinary power on floating island terrain.

Liu Yi carefully read through both individuals' information, her fingers unconsciously tapping the desk.

The Cloudwing Dragon's 'Cloud Concealment' trait offers a significant advantage in the cloud and mist environments common to floating islands, while the Rockwing Giant Lizard's 'Boulder Drop' can fully exploit the terrain.

She then turned to the next key school, Skywing High School.
