Chapter 68 | My Beast Taming Space Hides a Gacha Pool

After her nap, Ziyue took Chiying to the backyard training ground to train on their own.

Liu Yi, meanwhile, went out to buy ingredients for Chiying's latent energy pills, and also asked the shop to add today's purchased ingredients to her future regular deliveries.

After returning home and finishing Chiying's latent energy pills, Liu Yi went to the rest pavilion in the backyard training ground.

She watched Ziyue and Chiying train for a moment, then immersed her consciousness into her Beast Taming Space.

Liu Yi thought for a moment, then summoned Ziyue and Chiying, who were training outside, into the space.

“Come on, let Chiying do a ten-pull this time,” Liu Yi said to Ziyue and Chiying as they walked toward her.

“Moling?”

Chiying tilted its head, its eyes sparkling with confusion, not understanding what “ten-pull” meant.

“Bingbing.”

Seeing this, Ziyue gave a cry, indicating it meant to draw some brightly colored cards.

“Just tap this button,” Liu Yi said to Chiying, pointing at the ten-pull button.

Chiying didn't understand, but did as told.

Ripples spread across the stone platform pool, and ten beams of light flew out one after another.

Purple card:

【Portable Incubator】

Ziyue and Chiying's luck with Gacha pulls seemed to be much better than hers.

Liu Yi directly handed the Poison Honey Fruit to Chiying.

She then looked at the Portable Incubator; although it was a purple card, its function seemed similar to a regular incubator.

However, a real-world incubator is indeed a fixed device that cannot be carried around.

But it seemed she wouldn't need this Portable Incubator for now.

She didn't live at school, and after classes each day, she could go home to check on the Blaze Lion pet egg.

Leaving the Portable Incubator idle in her Beast Taming Space for now, Liu Yi withdrew her consciousness from the space, then summoned Ziyue and Chiying back to the training ground.

She sat in the rest pavilion and began her meditation for the day early.

The Blaze Lion pet egg had already begun to hatch, and Liu Yi wanted to increase her daily meditation time as much as possible to quickly raise her Beast Taming Space development progress to 30% and gain a new contract slot.

Only when night fell and Auntie Chen came to call them for dinner did Liu Yi emerge from her meditation.

Before going to bed that night, Liu Yi went to check on the egg in the incubator again.

“Good night,” she whispered, then turned off the living room light and returned to her room with Ziyue and Chiying.

In the darkness, the Blaze Lion egg flickered slightly, as if in response.

...

The next day, at the entrance of Tianqi Beast Taming High School.

Many students were entering the campus.

Liu Yi, with Chiying coiled around her neck and Ziyue by her side, was also walking into the campus.

“Is that Liu Yi, the High School Entrance Tournament Champion?”

“What kind of pets are those on her and by her side? I’ve never seen them before…”

“Huh? She seems to be in my class, but I haven't seen her since the opening ceremony last week. Did she take a week off right after school started?”

Whispers continuously reached her, but Liu Yi walked through the crowd with her usual expression.

“Didn't you see the news posted by ‘Longwu On-Site Blitz’? The headline was: 【High School Entrance Tournament Champion Contracts Dragon-type Pet in Myriad Realm Secret Realm, Brings Back Fire-type Pet Egg, and Appears at Beast Tamer Association Riding Evolved Ice Fox!】, and there were photos too.”

The person pulled out their phone, and a blurry photo was displayed on the screen.

In the photo, Liu Yi was riding Ziyue, holding a pet egg with golden-red flame patterns, and a pet with dragon horns was coiled around her neck.

“It seems to be true. This morning, the Beast Tamer Association issued an announcement. It revealed a new evolved form for the Ice Fox and also announced a brand-new Dragon-type pet!”

Liu Yi paused. She hadn't expected the Beast Tamer Association to act so quickly; she thought Ziyue and Chiying wouldn't appear in the Beast Encyclopedia for another couple of days.

However, that day she had deliberately avoided leaving through the Administrative Hall because she had noticed people inside the hall already paying attention to them, so she left through the Medical Hall to prevent being ambushed by well-informed reporters outside.

She hadn't expected to still be photographed.

“Student Liu Yi!” a clear voice called from behind her.

Liu Yi turned and saw a girl jogging over, a student council badge pinned to her chest.

“I’m Yin Huaixia from the student council’s publicity department,” the girl said, slightly out of breath. “Could I ask to take a photo of you and your pets? It’s for the new student special edition of the school magazine.”

Liu Yi glanced at the time; there were fifteen minutes until class. “Yes, but please try to be quick.”

“Great!” Yin Huaixia quickly pulled out her camera. “Can you stand in front of the school emblem?”

Liu Yi nodded and walked with Ziyue to the school emblem monument.

“Bingbing, Bingbing.”

Seeing the camera, Ziyue called out twice to Chiying.

After hearing what Ziyue said, Chiying quickly adjusted its position on Liu Yi’s neck and subtly lifted its head.

“3, 2, 1—Perfect!” Yin Huaixia snapped several photos, then checked the results with satisfaction. “Oh, by the way, could you briefly introduce your pets?”

“This is Ziyue, an Silver Snow Fox, the evolved form of an Ice Fox.” Liu Yi stroked Ziyue’s head, then gently caressed Chiying’s dragon horns. “And this is Chiying, a Moling Dragon.”

Just as Yin Huaixia was about to ask for more details, the preparatory bell for class suddenly rang, interrupting her questions.

“I need to go to class,” Liu Yi said, then turned and walked toward the teaching building.

“Wait!” Yin Huaixia caught up, handing her a business card. “Here’s my contact information. Could we talk more when you have time? About the school magazine exclusive interview!”

Liu Yi took the business card, nodded, and then sped up her pace, leaving.

The First Year, Class A-1 classroom was at the end of the third floor.

When Liu Yi pushed open the door, the previously noisy classroom fell silent for a second, then erupted into even louder chatter.

“She’s here!”

“It really is her! I was eliminated in the first round of the Longwu High School Entrance Tournament, so I took advantage of the last bit of vacation to travel. It wasn’t until after the opening ceremony, when I got home and saw my sister repeatedly watching replays of the tournament finals, that I realized she was the champion!”
