【"Dawn Covenant" Guild Leader "Nan Cheng"】
【Hello everyone waiting for 《Glorious Era》. I'm Nan Cheng, one of the first 200 closed beta players for 《Glorious Era》. Many old fans following 《Glorious Era》 probably know me already.】
【The reason I'm posting today is to summarize the plot development of Glorious Era from the first closed beta up to the current version update, as well as where things might head next. I also want to share some of my game understanding and gameplay experience with 《Glorious Era》. Although I posted a game review last time and many old fans already know it, I still want to talk about my understanding of it.】
【First off, in terms of realism, 《Glorious Era》 truly delivers on the developers' claim of 100% real-world level immersion. It fully replicates actual physical gravity, bodily tactile sensations, and environmental feedback. It's not just flashy effects, but solid, real sensory details.】
【To be honest, when I first entered the game, I was completely shocked. Was this game really made by aliens? Or is this really just a game? Are you sure I wasn't transported to an alternate world?】
【Regardless, in my opinion, this game truly lets people feel a "sense of life," just as advertised. It really might serve as a person's second life.】
【Now, let me give a quick intro for the players who haven't entered the game yet.】
【First is our faction.】
【We belong to the Goddess of Light faction. Our main quest line is to assist NPCs in reviving human civilization, recasting the glory of the angels, and helping the Goddess of Light return to her peak.】
【(Goddess Screenshot) Look, isn't she beautiful? To be honest, when I saw the Goddess for the first time, I was blown away. I can't describe her beauty—the modeling is top-tier!】
【Next up are the main quests we've experienced. The first main story line was clearing out the kobolds.】
【Some might say: isn't that just killing wild mobs? What's there to talk about? But what I want to say is that this main storyline had twists and turns completely beyond the players' expectations, yet overall the plot was fantastic.】
【Let me first talk about the mob mechanics of the kobolds.】
【They were completely unpredictable. All I can say is, as expected of a game with maxed-out realism.】
【The kobolds' attack patterns aren't fixed, and after being taunted, their agro is completely maxed. Two of our players lured some kobolds hundreds of meters away without breaking agro. Unlike other virtual games, they don't automatically drop combat after passing a certain distance.】
【Furthermore, their reactions are extremely real—they get angry, furious, terrified, and even beg for mercy. (Screenshot: Kobolds surrendering)】
【To be honest, such an advanced emotional system is truly exciting. The immersion is just too strong!】
【Next, let's talk about the first boss we encountered, the Kobold Chief (Screenshot). This boss's level was quite high, nearly 30 levels higher than us closed beta veterans.】
【Raid-wise, this boss was extremely difficult. In the beginning, we burned through quite a few Resurrection Coins.】
【But soon, under my command, we established a defensive line (proudly) and suppressed the kobold boss.】
【Just when we thought we were about to successfully defeat the boss—】
【Guess what happened?】
【That's right! That kobold boss actually summoned a character equivalent to an ultimate endgame boss!】
【(Screenshot) Isn't that oppressive? Isn't it realistic? All 200 of us players were right there on the scene. You can imagine the crushing presence of standing before such a colossal entity! Before him, we were as tiny as ants.】
【It was completely unwinnable. A boss of that caliber isn't something us novice players could ever defeat!】
【However, the subsequent story development fit the typical narrative game tropes.】
【The developers obviously anticipated that players couldn't beat it, so next, we summoned the Goddess!】
【That's right, exactly as you thought! Our faction leader!】
【Oh, I almost forgot! The Goddess's name is Iluvia Devilitafil. Doesn't that name sound great?】
【Speaking of which, I have to roast the developers' bad taste. Pulled a stunt like that right when we were about to finish off the kobold boss, almost ruining all our hard work.】
【By the way, another event happened here that will likely tie into the future plot. (Screenshot) Although there was no audio in the cutscene at the time and I didn't know the exact details, judging from the expressions and movements of the Goddess and Mosator, things were very unfriendly. This will likely affect the future plot. Oh, right, Mosator refers to that dragon—seems to be the Lord of Plague and Calamity? You guys can just call him Old Mo.】
【Alright, enough fluff. Next, I'll talk about what newbie players care about most.】
【First, after entering the game, you'll enter a character creation interface. After successfully creating your character... hehe... I won't spoil that. You'll find out when the time comes. Consider it a little surprise.】
【Next is your spawn location. Unsurprisingly, it should be in the Temple Square of our player town. I heard a spawn point has already been built there.】
【Then there's the newbie guide NPC. (Screenshot) Seeing this, do many new players find her familiar? That's right! The blonde, cute, dorky girl meme that recently blew up across the entire internet comes from right here!】
【Her name is Lilith! How about it? Isn't she adorable? Once you meet her in person, you'll realize how rich her emotional reactions are. Over the nearly one month of our closed beta, the vast majority of memes were contributed by Lilith. Expressions like shock, confusion, delight, disgust, and so on—pretty surprising, right?】
【Oh, I forgot to tell you, I actually have a pretty good relationship with Miss Lilith! Every time I talk to her, she can call out my name. (Proudly)】
【Some of you might not understand why I'm happy about this. It's simple: unlike other games where NPCs give stiff replies and act as pure utility tools without any human liveliness, this game is different.】
【In this game, NPCs have their own thoughts. For example, Miss Lilith, the newbie guide—I've observed that she doesn't remember every player's name. You have to get to know her first and earn her favorability before she remembers your name.】
【Reading this, don't you feel a sense of achievement?】
【Besides, the version update announcement on the official website specifically highlighted the favorability system and reputation system. It even stated that players with higher reputation can enjoy bigger discounts in the game shop.】
【The game official doesn't do things without reason, especially for a large production like this. The update content clearly aims to encourage us players to interact and communicate more with in-game NPCs.】
【I think the developers did a great job on this. Shop discounts are very friendly to casual players who don't have much money. Also, this game doesn't create massive level gaps between players because there's currently no top-up function, so pay-to-win players don't exist. Of course, I can understand if some people feel it's too hardcore.】
【However, I guess they'll probably open a top-up portal during the open beta.】
【Another thing: the NPCs in this game are incredibly realistic, so a good gaming environment is very important. Interacting more with NPCs not only raises favorability and increases your game reputation, but also makes the overall gaming environment much more harmonious.】
【Alright, having said so much, I also want to take a moment to complain about the developers.】
【First, when a player dies, they drop ALL items carried on them. Yes, you heard that right—everything! That is way too hardcore. While I know 《Glorious Era》 emphasizes realism, being overly hardcore isn't necessarily good. I hope the game designers will add a system inventory or item bag for players in future updates, which is a reasonable request shared by most players. It was fine during closed beta when there were few people and the map was small, but once open beta launches, the map will definitely be bigger. If you drop all your gear somewhere and run back only to find it all gone, that would be terrible—after all, it was all hard-earned gear.】
【Alright, that's all for now. If you need anything, feel free to ask me anytime.】
【Finally, to all newbie players: I've created a player guild in the game—Dawn Covenant. Currently, the guild only has around fifty members. If you get a game spot and want to join us, feel free to contact me in advance. The guild has many benefits, which I've written below for everyone to check out.】
