Su Yueli stared at the Red-Tailed Venomous Scorpion that had just crawled out. Narrowing her eyes, she immediately burst forward, utilizing her movement technique.
With her strength increased over the past few days and Xiaohei upgraded to a Heaven-grade high-rank divine weapon, she had already analyzed the weaknesses of the first scorpion in her mind.
Seeing someone launch a surprise attack, the scorpion whipped its tail in a vicious sneak attack.
As Su Yueli sidestepped to dodge, she combined her Ji Dao fist force with Xiaohei's sharp edge. With a sharp crack, she instantly severed the massive tail right at its base.
Immediately following up, she closed in and shattered the scorpion's internal organs with a single punch.
The second venomous stinger was easily obtained.
However, as Su Yueli withdrew her fist, she felt a bit suspicious.
It was strange that this one was so easy to kill. During their brief exchange, she had clearly felt that it was incredibly weak, as if it had suffered significant internal injuries. No wonder it hadn't been moving; it turned out it was hiding here to recover from its wounds.
Just as Su Yueli stowed the venomous stinger into her storage bag, two figures suddenly rushed out from the wind and sand of the wasteland.
The newcomers were moving incredibly fast, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Su Yueli focused her gaze and saw a male and a female cultivator. One was at the late stage of the Second Realm, and the other was at the mid stage of the Third Realm.
The two had originally been hunting this scorpion, chasing it across the wasteland for a whole day. They had planned to harvest it once its injuries flared up.
However, after rushing all the way there, they found that a mortal woman had beaten them to it, snatching their prey right from under their noses.
The two stopped in their tracks, their brows furrowing.
They habitually swept their divine sense over Su Yueli, only to find that she possessed no purple mansion spiritual light at all, lacking even the slightest fluctuation of spiritual energy.
Their sense of superiority as cultivators instantly welled up.
“A mortal martial artist?” The leading young female cultivator sneered, her eyes filled with disdain.
The two immediately closed in on her, surrounding her. They threatened, “If you know what's good for you, hand over all the venomous stingers on you. For a mere mortal warrior like you, taking things from this place is just seeking death.”
As she spoke, the leading female cultivator's gaze fell upon Xiaohei, which Su Yueli was about to slip back into her sleeve.
Seeing the profound dark-gold flowing light and the bone-chilling gleam, greed instantly flared up within her.
The sharp edge displayed by this weapon actually made her, a Third Realm cultivator, feel a trace of trepidation.
A peerless divine weapon?
But it was clearly the weapon of a mortal martial artist. Why did it give her such an unusual feeling?
One thing was certain, however: it was absolutely a treasure.
The thought of murdering her to steal the treasure immediately crossed her mind.
A mortal with no background holding such a treasure was practically delivering a gift to them from thousands of miles away.
Su Yueli's brow furrowed slightly.
She had come out this time primarily to earn resources and gather information. She was truly unwilling to get needlessly involved with other immortal sects.
She carefully examined the red robes worn by the two, especially the blazing fire symbol embroidered on their chests.
It looked very familiar.
The style of their clothes seemed somewhat similar to that of Lie Yangfeng, the inner disciple of the Chiyang Sect she had met a few days ago.
Suppressing the killing intent in her heart, Su Yueli asked calmly, “Are you two from the Chiyang Sect?”
Seeing that Su Yueli recognized their sect, the female cultivator's expression became even more arrogant.
Tilting her chin up, she snorted, “Since you know we are from the Chiyang Sect, why haven't you handed over the goods yet?”
“To tell you the truth, we were the ones who hunted and injured this beast. If we hadn't exhausted its demonic power, do you really think a mere mortal like you could have gotten such an easy kill? Keep dreaming.”
Hearing this, Su Yueli's face gradually darkened.
She had clearly discovered and killed this scorpion herself. In Black Wind Valley, it should rightfully belong to her.
However, considering that Lie Yangfeng was reasonably well-mannered, and that she indeed had taken advantage of the demon beast's injuries, Su Yueli took a deep breath. She patiently decided to take a step back and proactively suggested:
“Since this beast was indeed injured by you two, I don't wish to take unfair advantage either. I can offer you some mortal silver or rare medicinal herbs as compensation. I have an urgent use for this venomous stinger.”
“Compensation?”
The male cultivator beside her let out a cold laugh as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world, his eyes filled with utter disdain.
The female cultivator was even more contemptuous, mocking coldly, “Do you really think we cultivators would care about the trash of a mortal martial artist? Dream on.”
“Today, not only must you leave the venomous stinger behind, but you must also hand over that fist blade in your hand to show respect to this fairy!”
Her tone grew heavier, dripping with menace. “Otherwise, if there's one more mortal corpse in this wasteland, no one is going to bury you.”
Su Yueli's gaze turned completely cold.
Xiaohei on her wrist vibrated in anger, transmitting a highly volatile wave of killing intent.
She had lived for nearly two hundred years, yet she had never seen anyone carry out a robbery with such self-righteous confidence.
Refusing to accept a polite offer—they were simply asking for a beating.
Su Yueli slowly massaged her wrist, a highly amused smile playing on her lips.
“So... there's no room for discussion?”
“You court death! A mere mortal warrior dares to brandish a weapon in front of an immortal?”
Seeing that Su Yueli not only refused to hand over the treasure but also took a fighting stance, the female cultivator flew into a rage, feeling deeply insulted.
The male cultivator also sneered. With a wave of his right hand, a flying sword whistled through the air, its cold gleam pointing directly at Su Yueli's legs. Clearly, he intended to cripple her mobility first.
Boom!
Facing the flying sword, a ruthless light flashed in Su Yueli's eyes, and the blood qi of a Tenth Realm Martial God inside her body erupted with a bang.
She was well aware of the disparity between martial artists and cultivators.
Cultivators possessed bizarre methods and an endless array of magical treasures. Once they managed to widen the distance, a mortal martial artist would be reduced to nothing but a sitting duck.
If she knew her opponents were strong, she had to go all out right from the very beginning!
She pinned all her chances of victory on close-quarters combat!
“Take out the weaker one first!”
Su Yueli locked her eyes on the male cultivator at the late stage of the Second Realm. Stomping her foot, she transformed into a green afterimage, moving so fast that she was barely visible to the naked eye. She managed to force her way forward, brushing past the very edge of the flying sword.
“What?!”
The male cultivator went pale with shock. He had never expected a mortal's speed to be so absurdly fast.
In his haste, he hurriedly summoned a green jade pendant, which transformed into a protective barrier of spiritual energy around him.
But Su Yueli's ruthlessness erupted completely at this moment.
Facing a blazing flash of fire unleashed by the Third Realm female cultivator from the right, she didn't even try to dodge. She would rather suffer an injury herself just to kill this Second Realm male cultivator under her fist.
Boom!
The fiery glow slammed heavily into Su Yueli's shoulder, instantly tearing through her protective astral qi.
Blood splattered, and her clothes were instantly scorched black over a large area.
As the burning pain set in, Su Yueli frowned slightly, but the killing intent in her eyes grew even more intense.
“Shatter for me!”
Her mastered Ji Dao fist force condensed upon the Heaven-grade high-rank Xiaohei. Dark-gold light flared brilliantly as she smashed down on the male cultivator's spiritual energy barrier with monumental force.
Crack!
The protective barrier couldn't even withstand a single fraction of a second before instantly shattering into pieces.
Under the male cultivator's terrified gaze, Xiaohei's sharp edge plunged straight into his chest.
Pfft!
The fist blade pierced his body, and blood sprayed outward.
“Junior Brother!!” the female cultivator screamed. She was completely dumbfounded, her eyes filled with absolute horror.
Staring at Su Yueli, whose face was slightly pale and whose shoulder was bleeding, her mind buzzed as a storm of shock raged within her.
How could such a young mortal woman actually be a Tenth Realm Martial God?!
Even more terrifying was that, the moment they made a move, she had been willing to sustain a heavy injury just to forcefully withstand the combined attack of a mid stage Third Realm and a late stage Second Realm cultivator, facing them head-on.
This near-suicidal fighting style sent a shiver of fear deep into the female cultivator's heart.
This was far more bloodthirsty and crazed than even the most ferocious demon beast in Black Wind Valley!
