With a single call from Xia Qiming, Blue Star's strongest combatant, the Lord of the Undead Chen Xu, arrived in the deep sea.
Actually, Chen Xu moved so quickly this time mainly for Kunpeng, the bargain Sea God he had picked up.
If the naga teamed up with Hell and fought their way back to Blue Star, the first to suffer wouldn't be the humans on land, but Kunpeng's merfolk believers.
If the merfolk were wiped out, Kunpeng's tenure as the Sea God would be over.
Protecting the merfolk ensured that the oceans of Blue Star would remain under the command of Kunpeng. Therefore, the waters of Blue Star were essentially Chen Xu's private property.
Someone—no, some naga—trying to set fire to his backyard was something he absolutely could not accept.
Kunpeng used its Sea God power to encase Chen Xu in a membrane, shielding him from the seawater.
Chen Xu looked at the dungeon entrance to the naga world before him and summoned three ghosts, ordering them to scout the situation inside.
The three ghosts dove into the entrance of the naga world together, and after a long while, one of them returned.
"Why are you the only one?"
"My Lord, there were only some small fry near the entrance, and we have cleared them out. The others are guarding the entrance while I returned to report to you."
Chen Xu nodded and summoned Sindragosa as well.
"Woo?"
Sindragosa was mid-yawn when it realized it was surrounded by seawater, immediately covering its body in divine power to block the water.
At Chen Xu's signal, Kunpeng led the way, followed by Sindragosa, with Chen Xu bringing up the rear as they entered the naga world.
Upon entering the naga world, Chen Xu saw only a vast expanse of red, and the water here seemed much more viscous than that of Blue Star.
In fact, it didn't even feel like seawater; it felt more like blood.
Chen Xu stood atop Sindragosa's head, and with a single look, Sindragosa understood. Its ice crystal wings pushed through the water as it swam upward.
Because they were in a dangerous environment where battle could erupt at any moment, Sindragosa did not use divine power for movement, opting instead for primal dragon power.
Breaking the surface and flying into the sky, Chen Xu looked into the distance.
As far as the eye could see, there wasn't a single island. Chen Xu then used his mental strength to scan the entire dungeon.
"Hmm?"
Suddenly, Chen Xu detected a small island shaped like a crescent moon. In the hollow of the crescent, a large group of naga was quarrying stones.
Behind these naga stood two special naga overseers. Their skin was different from the others, with charcoal-black upper bodies and serpentine tails whose scales had turned from green to a dark red.
A red and black color scheme—classic Hell style.
His massive mental strength crushed down instantly, killing the two naga overseers with a casual thought. As for the ordinary naga, Chen Xu did not harm them.
Chen Xu guessed that since overseers were being used, it was highly likely that the naga had split internally. One faction had embraced Hell and been mutated, while the traditionalists who refused to join Hell were sent to perform hard labor.
He planned to let Kunpeng's Saint see if she could recruit these naga. The number of merfolk was still too small, providing limited faith. If the naga could also be brought into Kunpeng's fold, Kunpeng's growth rate would increase significantly.
After sending a message to Kunpeng to bring the Saint Valira over, Chen Xu continued his exploration.
His mental strength extended further, and soon, deep within the naga world, Chen Xu discovered a strange volcanic island.
There were many fallen demons on this island. Outside the island, naga were constantly transporting stones toward it.
The fallen demons took the stones and were building something unknown on the island.
At the very summit of the island floated a grotesque naga with only half a body. Chen Xu guessed that this was likely the Tyrant.
The Tyrant floated above the crater, the heat of the magma constantly roasting its mangled body. Yet, there was no pain on the Tyrant's face; instead, it wore an expression of pure bliss.
Chen Xu only understood one thing about this bizarre scene. This was likely a special ritual aimed at mutating the Tyrant above the crater while simultaneously polluting the entire naga world.
Every so often, the Tyrant would spit out a large pool of thick red liquid. The fallen demons near the crater would collect this liquid and pour it into the sea.
Chen Xu surmised that the red liquid spat out by the Tyrant was the culprit behind this blood sea.
Thinking about how troublesome Hell's corruption could be, Chen Xu decided not to develop this world. He would save the naga willing to abandon darkness for the light and then have Kunpeng and Sindragosa level the place.
After withdrawing his mental strength, Chen Xu returned to Blue Star through the dungeon entrance and summoned Flideng.
Then, he took out the pure white stone and handed it to Flideng.
"Take this stone and guard this spot. If any non-undead creature comes out of this entrance, touch them with this stone. Do you understand?"
Flideng stood tall, nodding repeatedly, and even gave Chen Xu a salute to guarantee the mission's completion.
With the tasks assigned, Chen Xu teleported directly back to the academy and went back to surfing the internet. The rest was left to Kunpeng and Sindragosa.
Before long, Kunpeng's Saint, Valira, arrived at the entrance.
Seeing Flideng at the entrance, Valira was too afraid to approach and hid among the nearby reefs, praying to Kunpeng for help.
Upon hearing the prayer, Kunpeng sent a soul message directly to Flideng.
After receiving the message, Flideng scanned the area and instantly located Valira hiding in the reefs. With a clench of its hand, it used Psychokinesis to seize Valira and tossed her into the dungeon entrance before she could even react.
It then sent a reply back to Kunpeng: "Done."
Just as Valira recovered from her fright, she received an urgent message from Kunpeng, telling her to take the bone kuns and recruit the naga willing to surrender.
Valira took the order and set out immediately.
At the entrance, only Kunpeng and Sindragosa remained, staring each other down.
Kunpeng was annoyed with Sindragosa, feeling that the dragon had eaten the Dragon God's body, which was a trophy it had worked hard to secure.
Sindragosa, on the other hand, felt that Kunpeng was a junior who lacked respect. In terms of seniority, back when it was already serving as Chen Xu's mount, the fish carcasses that made up Kunpeng's previous form were still locked in the cold storage of the Linghai Research Institute.
A day passed, and Valira had successfully recruited hundreds of thousands of naga. It seemed like a small number, but these were all the normal naga left.
The other unlucky ones had been thrown into cauldrons by the fallen demons, brewed into secret medicines, and fed to the Tyrant.
Otherwise, no matter how strong the Tyrant was, it couldn't have spat out so much blood-red liquid.
Once Valira led the naga out of the naga world and back to Blue Star, Kunpeng and Sindragosa began their move.
Kunpeng dove into the water, plunging straight to the very bottom.
A beam of blue light shot into the sky as Sea God power roared through the area. As if on purpose, the power slightly clipped Sindragosa, pushing the dragon back a few meters.
The Sea God power spread rapidly, and in a moment, Kunpeng mobilized quadrillions of liters of seawater. The waves surged, layer upon layer, sweeping toward the depths of the naga world.
A catastrophic wave surged forward, leaving no survivors in its wake.
On the strange volcanic island, the fallen demons saw the distant wave and dropped their stones in terror, fleeing toward the crater.
The Tyrant, who had been closing its eyes in a trance from the volcanic heat, was awakened by the noisy clamor of the fallen demons. It opened its eyes only to see a colossal wave nearby—a blood-red wave that blotted out the sun, its peak nowhere in sight.
The Tyrant rubbed its eyes, wondering if the fallen demons had messed up the medicine again, causing it to hallucinate.
Opening its eyes again, it found the towering wave was still there and was already right in front of it.
Before the Tyrant could even wonder where the wave had come from, it was crushed into mincemeat, completely fusing with the fellow naga who had died at its hands.
