Chapter 65 | Overtime Necromancy: My Legion Never Sleeps

Mohai City Dragon Seed Base.

As soon as Xia Qiming entered the meeting room, Le Yu's voice drifted over.

"Xia, we were just waiting for you. Oh? Chen Xu? Why are you here too?"

"Director Le, long time no see."

Seeing Chen Xu follow Xia Qiming into the room, Le Yu showed a puzzled expression.

"This kid might be stronger than both of us now. He even has nine bone dragons."

Xia Qiming casually pulled out a chair and sat down.

Chen Xu scanned the meeting room.

Xia Qiming, Le Yu, Ye Bufan, and Fan Xue were people Chen Xu already knew.

There were two others: one was a burly man in a training suit with bulging muscles, and the other looked very similar in style to Xia Deliang, likely someone from the Heavenly Crafts Academy.

"Whoa, I didn't see that coming. You've grown so fast."

Le Yu beckoned Chen Xu over and pulled out the chair next to him.

Chen Xu was still looking for a place to sit, but since Le Yu invited him, he walked over and sat down beside him.

"Sorry for making everyone wait. Now that everyone is here, let's start the meeting."

Xia Qiming took out a small notebook and began presiding over the meeting.

"Brother Ye, Brother Xiang, you two are the main force this time. Tell us how the academy and the Heavenly Crafts Academy should cooperate with you."

"There are two main points." Ye Bufan held up two fingers. "First, lure that Black Dragon out of Mohai. Mohai provides it with too much of a boost. Fighting it there for seven days and nights would probably only result in some lost scales. Second, prevent it from escaping back. Once that Black Dragon senses something is wrong and focuses solely on fleeing back to Mohai, even if Brother Xiang and I join forces, we can't guarantee a hundred percent that we can stop it."

After hearing Ye Bufan's words, Xia Qiming looked at Xiang Longwu. "Brother Xiang, what are your suggestions?"

"It is exactly the issue Brother Ye mentioned. The two of us excel at slaughter, but when it comes to trapping enemies, we only know one move: killing them directly. If that move doesn't work, we have no other options."

Xiang Longwu's voice was extremely loud, and it felt as if it didn't come from his mouth but resonated outward through his entire body.

After recording the requirements of the two main combatants, Xia Qiming turned to Fan Xue and Qi Xuanheng. "Manager Fan, Elder Qi, do the academy and the Heavenly Crafts Academy have any way to block that Black Dragon and prevent it from escaping back to Mohai?"

"This is a bit difficult. That Black Dragon is conservatively estimated to be a mythic-tier creature. Most of our current research is targeted at legendary-tier creatures, and we lack data on mythic-tier ones. If we want to temporarily bind that Black Dragon, we would need to deploy mythic-tier items. However, mythic-tier items require a long warm-up time. Since we don't have mythic-tier powerhouses, we can only use Divine Power Crystals to charge them."

Fan Xue looked troubled; the requirement to block the Black Dragon seemed extremely difficult.

"How great is Daxia's determination?"

Qi Xuanheng suddenly spoke.

"We must take it down. Elder Qi, do you have any good ideas?" Xia Qiming looked at Qi Xuanheng. This veteran artisan from the Heavenly Crafts Academy was known as the Ghost Artisan and often came up with unorthodox ideas.

"Use Mohai City as a chessboard. Completely modify it and set up a Heaven-Veiling Array to confuse the Black Dragon's senses. An array the size of a city, even if it is only legendary-tier, should be able to deceive the Black Dragon for a period of time through sheer volume."

"Elder Qi's method is good. The Heaven-Veiling Array can also slightly mask the fluctuations of mythic-tier items, which should give us enough time to charge the Dragon-Binding Lock to restrain that Black Dragon."

Fan Xue's eyes lit up, fully agreeing with Qi Xuanheng's idea.

"Using Mohai City as a chessboard..." Xia Qiming closed his eyes, considering the feasibility of the plan.

"Bufan, the Dragon-Binding Lock can probably only hold it for ten breaths. Is that enough for you and Longwu to deal with that Black Dragon?"

Qi Xuanheng looked at Ye Bufan and Xiang Longwu.

Ye Bufan gave a confident smile. "Elder Qi, don't worry. Five breaths are enough."

"Elder Qi, rest assured. If I, Xiang Longwu, cannot deal with that Black Dragon after the Dragon-Binding Lock captures it, then I'll stop practicing boxing and go straight to you to learn blacksmithing."

Xiang Longwu flashed a row of white teeth, his words radiating confidence in his own strength.

"Then we will follow Elder Qi's plan. I will report this immediately after the meeting and arrange for the evacuation of Mohai City." Xia Qiming decided to adopt Qi Xuanheng's method.

The threat of Hell was imminent. If Mohai City was gone, it could be rebuilt. As long as the Black Dragon was cleared, Daxia could free up a lot of manpower to conquer more dungeons.

"Manager Fan, Elder Qi, which people do the academy and the Heavenly Crafts Academy need? Just name them, and I'll go get them."

"Brother Xia, who will lure the Black Dragon out of Mohai? Brother Xiang and I are already on its blacklist. If we go to provoke it, it probably won't take the bait."

Ye Bufan asked. He and Xiang Longwu had frequently gone to Mohai to cause trouble for the Black Dragon.

Inside Mohai, the two of them could barely hold their own against the Black Dragon.

Outside Mohai, the two of them could pin the Black Dragon's head down and beat it.

Therefore, whenever the Black Dragon saw Ye Bufan and Xiang Longwu, no matter how they provoked it, it would hunker down in Mohai and refuse to take a single step out.

"That will depend on Chen Xu."

As soon as Xia Qiming's words left his mouth, everyone turned to look at Chen Xu.

"Huh? Me?"

...

After the dragon-slaying meeting ended, Chen Xu returned to the preparation base.

Xia Qiming had given Chen Xu a mission: to send bone dragons to lure the Black Dragon out.

To be honest, Chen Xu really wanted to refuse. No matter how strong a bone dragon was, it was only a legendary-tier creature. Moreover, the skill Summon Undead Bone Dragon was not even level 10 yet and had not received any talent enhancements.

However, he offered too much.

Daxia's collection from over the years: a total of forty giant dragon carcasses.

Chen Xu declared on the spot that luring a Black Dragon was no problem at all and left it to him.

He returned to the military academy to take these forty dragon corpses and throw them all into the Everfrost Dragon Territory, letting them be summoned slowly on their own.

As he stepped out, he happened to run into Wu Houde.

"Commander Wu, do you have time? I'm planning to head to the Yellow Sand Chaos. Want to come along?"

"Brother Chen, you actually have free time? With your strength, you should be arranged to conquer other dungeons by now."

Wu Houde didn't expect Chen Xu to have free time. Currently, all professionals were mobilized, and everyone was incredibly busy.

"There is an arrangement, but I have to wait for others, so I'm free for now."

The dragon-slaying matter was serious and could not be rushed. While Daxia was relocating the people of Mohai City, the Heavenly Crafts Academy and the academy were simultaneously modifying the city.

No matter how fast they worked, modifying such a large city would take a considerable amount of time.

Three days. That was the time frame given by the academy and the Heavenly Crafts Academy. In three days, the dragon-slaying plan would officially begin.

"Then I'll accompany you. It just so happens that Old Duan is already decoding it."

"Oh, Master Duan is so fast."

"Of course. Those who deal with Feng Shui can increase their skill levels by locating graves for people. But who does burials anymore? Most people who die in dungeons don't even have a complete body left. By using Feng Shui skills to dig up other people's graves, their skill levels also increase. So, these Feng Shui practitioners rely on this to quickly raise their skill levels."

"There's actually such a thing!"

...

"This is the former treasure trove of the Yellow Sand Kingdom?"

The three of them looked at the somewhat empty underground tomb before them, staring at each other in bewilderment.

"Old Duan, are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"

Wu Houde was the first to walk into the tomb. He leaned down and scooped up a handful of seeds from the ground.

"These should be ordinary plant seeds. They don't have even a bit of energy."

"That shouldn't be. The coordinates on the map point right here." Duan Shou held a compass in his mouth and spread the map with both hands, checking it repeatedly.

Chen Xu also walked over, squatted down, and picked up a handful of seeds.

"Commander Wu, does your Hurricane Warband have anyone who knows growth spells or Daoist laws? Have them accelerate the growth of one to see what these seeds are. They must be worth something for the Yellow Sand Kingdom to store them like this."
