Chapter 30 | Please Stop Possessing Me, Lord Evil God!

Grinya's sharp gaze swept across everyone present, and everyone was afraid to meet her eyes, not daring to look up.

On the stage, Kaiya noticed the anomaly in Freshman Class 1 and cast his gaze over, his expression shifting slightly.

Is this the girl who insulted Buze several times in a row?

Kaiya scrutinized Grinya with interest, as if looking at an entertaining toy.

"Damn, what part of the plot is this now? I had no memory of this when I logged off yesterday."

Lu Xun bit his thumb, his brows furrowing deeply.

Having just entered the game, he was completely baffled by the situation before him.

He simply opened the quest list to see if the main quest had any hints.

【Main Quest: The Radiance of Yiertaya, Part 1】

【As a freshman on your first day, you must participate in the Wuxin Island trial organized by the academy. Defeat magical beasts in the trial to earn more points. Extra rewards will be granted upon completion.】

After reading the quest description, Lu Xun suddenly understood.

So it was a dungeon challenge within the main quest, which sounded quite interesting.

Last time at that cultist base, it was mostly dealing with small fry, which felt quite dull.

The mobs in this Wuxin Island dungeon were all replaced with magical beasts, including high-level monsters, making it more unpredictable.

Undoubtedly, this main quest dungeon was much more challenging.

"G-Grinya Loran, I challenge you!"

Buze suppressed the fear in his heart and shouted at Grinya.

Lu Xun closed the quest list and aimed the camera at Buze.

Isn't this the little fatty from yesterday afternoon? Is he here to deliver benefits again?

Lu Xun was overjoyed.

Buze said, "Grinya Loran, let's see who can get more points on Wuxin Island. Whoever loses must bow their head and apologize. Do you dare to accept?"

"I would be glad to," Grinya said calmly.

【Timed Quest Accepted: The Return of Buze】

【Obtain a higher score than Buze in the Wuxin Island trial. (I have been insulted thrice! This time, I will make that woman regret her foolish actions!)】

Oh, here it comes. The benefit guy might be late, but he always shows up. Lu Xun rubbed his hands together.

"Ahem!" Kaiya saw that the freshmen were sufficiently hyped up, so he coughed twice to draw everyone's attention back to him.

"It's getting late. I will now open the Wuxin Island trial for everyone. Please give it your all, candidates. I hope everyone passes successfully."

As soon as he finished speaking, Kaiya's golden eyes lit up with a brilliant, dazzling light, falling upon the massive Hero Statue. In an instant, the statue was shrouded in golden light, radiant, holy, and inviolable!

"Respected ancestor, Lord Ledavich Atuoya, please heed the call of your descendant..."

Amidst Kaiya's pious prayer, the statue gradually revealed its divine power. A thick beam of golden light shot into the sky, tearing open a massive spatial rift.

The rift slowly opened, revealing a rainbow light curtain.

"Holy crap, these special effects are awesome!" Lu Xun was stunned.

Watching this scene, the corners of Kaiya's mouth curled up slightly.

"I wish you all a pleasant time on Wuxin Island."

The shouts of the freshmen on the square were earth-shaking as they stepped into the rainbow light curtain one after another.

Buze shot a deep look at Grinya before turning and walking inside.

Grinya slowly reached out to touch the light curtain.

【Wuxin Island (High Risk), Recommended Level: 20】

High-risk dungeon?

Lu Xun was stunned.

He looked at the subsequent system prompt in disbelief: Recommended Level: 20?

Was this a joke? The main quest had just started; how could he possibly reach level 20?

Even after chugging a Mid-tier Experience Potion yesterday, his character was only level 6. They wanted him to tackle a level 20 dungeon at level 6?

How was this different from a suicide run?

However... perhaps the game was designed this way on purpose. If it really was an unreasonable setting, it was his responsibility as a closed beta tester to experience all the bugs and report them to the client.

"Fine, let me see what these people are planning," he muttered to himself.

'These people...'

Grinya was terrified, waves of shock crashing through her heart.

What did the evil god mean by that?

Had Wuxin Island been tampered with?

Had cultists already infiltrated the academy?

Grinya didn't dare think about it any further. Compared to the evil god, she knew far too little. The more she pondered, the more terrified she became!

She glanced at the excited freshmen from the corner of her eye and suddenly felt a bit of pity.

These people probably didn't know what kind of fierce storm they were about to face...

...

As she watched Grinya's figure gradually disappear into the light curtain, someone on the square felt their scalp tingle, looking like a startled rabbit.

Compared to the freshmen who were so excited they couldn't control themselves, her behavior seemed very odd. One could only see a fear beyond words on her face, and even her voice couldn't stop trembling.

"S-She... didn't she fail the entrance exam? Why is she here?"

"No, the plan went wrong. I can't go in with that monster."

She turned and ran without a second thought.

However, as she ran, an elegant and tall figure blocked her path.

Kaiya smiled slightly and bowed deeply, performing a proper courtly salute to the person before him.

"Princess Ruiya, are you heading the wrong way? The entrance to Wuxin Island is over there."

Kaiya very thoughtfully pointed out the direction for Ruiya.

The corners of Ruiya's mouth twitched slightly.

She ignored Kaiya and tried to push past him.

But Kaiya suddenly called out, "Where are you going, Princess? Are you not participating in the Wuxin Island trial anymore?"

His voice was loud, causing several teachers on the square to look over.

"Princess Ruiya, where are you going?"

Zephu Kano pushed up her glasses, her gaze heavy with pressure, looking every bit the strict teacher.

"You aren't planning to run away from the Wuxin Island trial, are you?" Zephu Kano asked.

Ruiya glared fiercely at Kaiya before looking at Zephu Kano with some embarrassment.

"H-How could I? I just suddenly had a stomachache."

"Princess Ruiya, Wuxin Island is a trial that every freshman must participate in. Even as a princess, you are no exception!" Zephu Kano didn't believe Ruiya's excuse, seemingly accustomed to her lies. "Does His Majesty know you are trying to skip the trial?"

Seeing the woman bring up her father again, Ruiya's mouth twitched secretly.

To avoid exposing her identity, she had no choice but to hang her head. Like a prisoner about to be executed, she walked despairingly toward the entrance of the Wuxin Island secret realm.
