Chapter 32 | Please Stop Possessing Me, Lord Evil God!

Buze Kritov didn't understand why, so he simply stopped thinking about it.

"At this intensity, hardly anyone will be able to pass the trial," a freshman wailed beside him.

The trial process for Wuxin Island had always been simple in the past. The academy's purpose for setting up the Wuxin Island trial was merely to train the students' ability to react to danger and to identify geniuses suitable for focused cultivation.

But if freshmen encountered magical beasts that far exceeded their power limits right at the start, the trial would lose its meaning as a training exercise.

Buze glanced at him and said indifferently, "Stop complaining. If you still have the strength, follow me. There must be other freshmen facing the same trouble as you."

The freshman looked up, staring at him in surprise.

He clearly hadn't expected the second son of the Kritov family to say such a thing.

Buze noticed his gaze. It was a look he had encountered countless times since childhood, and he was used to being viewed that way.

"Don't look at me like that. I am a member of the Kritov family. Helping you weak commoners is the natural responsibility of us nobles."

Buze walked forward, his steps firm and without pause.

The freshman hurried to keep up, his expression conflicted for a moment before he whispered a reminder to Buze:

"Master Buze, I'm from the Trigo family. My family holds the rank of count."

His meaning was that he was also a noble, not a commoner.

However, Buze turned his head and gave him a look, speaking in a matter-of-fact tone:

"In front of my Kritov family, what difference is there between a count and a commoner?"

Freshman: "..."

He was speechless in the face of Buze's extremely arrogant prejudice.

"Keep up. A true noble will ensure you all pass the trial smoothly."

By the time the freshman was still processing this, Buze had already walked quite a distance.

...

At Hero Square, several teachers were gathered together chatting, smiles appearing on their faces from time to time.

A relaxed, pleasant, and joyful atmosphere permeated the air.

Except for Teacher Evan, who squatted in a corner, appearing completely out of place.

"Teacher Evan, was that female student just now the culprit who disrupted your exam hall's order?"

A teacher turned to look at him and asked curiously.

"I've seen that student before. Princess Ruiya is very close to her, but I didn't expect her to act so recklessly during the theory test," Zephu Kano said with a frown. "How did she get into the academy?"

"I heard it was the work of the Kritov family's influence."

The teachers all turned their gazes toward Kaiya.

Kaiya smiled slightly, not showing any stage fright. "That's right. I used the principal's authority on his behalf to change her student records."

The others looked puzzled.

Why would the prestigious Kritov family help an unrelated girl enter the school?

The rainbow light curtain suddenly shook, its abnormality interrupting everyone's thoughts of gossiping further.

"What's happening? Was someone eliminated?"

"The trial has only just begun. Don't tell me this year's freshmen can't even beat a slime."

A figure suddenly rolled out from the rainbow light curtain. His face was vacant, yet filled with intense fear, as if he had just escaped with his life from a terrifying hell.

A teacher recognized the student's identity.

"Robu, you've been eliminated?"

This teacher was both shocked and suspicious. Based on his knowledge of Robu, even if the boy couldn't compare to Buze from the Kritov family, he was definitely considered one of the stronger ones among this batch of freshmen.

He had actually become the first person to be eliminated?!

The teachers suddenly understood something, and they looked up at the vibrant rainbow light curtain as a faint sense of unease rose in their hearts.

Something had likely gone wrong on Wuxin Island!

"Robu, what did you encounter on Wuxin Island?" the teacher asked, grabbing Robu's shoulders and shaking him.

Although dying on Wuxin Island wouldn't result in actual death—they would be transported back the moment they suffered a fatal injury and all wounds would be automatically repaired—the price was that their minds would suffer a certain degree of trauma, and the sensation of pain could not be erased.

At this moment, Robu might have fallen into a temporary state of shock because he had experienced a "death."

However, Robu was after all an excellent student in the eyes of this teacher. He soon regained his senses and stared at the teacher, asking:

"Teacher, why would a level 10 banshee appear at the starting point?"

"A level 10 banshee? That's impossible!" Zephu Kano shouted. "The level 10 banshee is the final boss we set. How could it appear at the starting point?"

"But... I was insta-killed by a level 10 banshee," Robu said, stunned.

As soon as he finished speaking, the rainbow light curtain began to shake even more violently than before. The overwhelming momentum left even the teachers feeling deeply shocked.

This was a situation they had never encountered in their many years of teaching!

A large number of students suddenly tumbled out of the rainbow light curtain, like continuous waves of the ocean.

They were all students who had been sent back after experiencing death, but the number far exceeded what Zephu Kano and the others had imagined.

By a rough estimate, at least half of the freshmen had been eliminated in just this short period at the start!

Some with better mental fortitude could barely crawl out of the pile of people, while most freshmen had fainted because they couldn't withstand the psychological pressure of death.

"This... what on earth is going on?" Zephu Kano and the others felt their scalps tingle.

There was no doubt that some kind of accident had occurred on Wuxin Island.

At least half of the freshmen failing the Wuxin Island trial was already a very serious teaching incident.

What was that saying about my teaching credentials looking down at me in disappointment from heaven?

"It seems things have developed in a direction beyond our expectations." Kaiya walked over with a frown. "Is there any way to contact the students inside the secret realm now?"

Zephu Kano took out a piece of alchemical machinery, a small square box. "Other than seeing their points, we know nothing about the situation inside."

"Then we can only hope the remaining freshmen don't run into any accidents." Kaiya raised his brows, his golden eyes looking past the Hero Statue of Ledavich Atuoya toward the clouds at the end of the rainbow light curtain.

"Hmm... I hope nothing happens to the Sacred Blessing Stone left by our ancestor Ledavich Atuoya," he said.

The Sacred Blessing Stone was the core of the death-transportation mechanism on Wuxin Island.

Ledavich Atuoya had left this magical stone on Wuxin Island because he didn't want the students of Yiertaya Academy to die in vain inside.

Once something happened to this stone, if the students inside encountered danger, they would truly die!

This was something Yiertaya Academy absolutely did not want to see.

"I have to report this to the principal!" Zephu Kano realized the situation had slipped out of their control. Wuxin Island wouldn't have problems for no reason; this wasn't something they could handle.

But just as she was about to leave, Kaiya reached out and stopped her.

"The principal has more important matters to deal with right now. We're the only ones who can handle things here," he said.

Kaiya's golden eyes met Zephu Kano's. Although calm, they held a determination that left no room for negotiation:

"I am the eldest son of the Kritov family. The principal of Yiertaya Academy is my grandfather, and I am also his assistant. While he is not at the school, major decisions of the academy should be made by me. If any problems arise, I will take full responsibility."
