Chapter 6 | Please Stop Possessing Me, Lord Evil God!

The academy cafeteria was packed at noon, perhaps because there were more people applying to the academy today.

But Grinya had no appetite for lunch right now.

Shortly after seeing off Teacher Zephu, the evil god had taken control of her body again and wandered around the academy.

Then, she heard his voice whispering in her ear:

"It's getting late. I should go eat."

Finally, Grinya regained control of her body. She felt the long-lost sensation of strength returning to her limbs, and the eerie whispers were gone.

For a moment, she was so moved that tears welled up in her eyes.

It was over!

That evil god had finally returned her body to her!

Although she didn't understand what the evil god meant by "eating," her intuition told her it was better not to overthink it.

Anything considered food by an evil god had to be something extremely terrifying!

With noon approaching, Grinya watched the tide of candidates who had finished their morning practical assessments pour into the cafeteria, yet she couldn't muster any appetite.

The voice in her head lingered, so she ran to the academy library without pause, attempting to find some clues about this unknown deity.

The library of the Yiertaya Royal Academy was the largest in the kingdom.

Aside from the important scriptures of the church, any book with a name worth mentioning could be found here.

To find clues about a god, the academy library was undoubtedly the most suitable place.

However, the Yiertaya library was incredibly vast. Trying to find clues in this ocean of knowledge was as difficult as reaching for the stars.

Furthermore, fearing she might be labeled a heretic, Grinya didn't dare ask the librarians for help.

The topic of gods had always been strictly forbidden to discuss across the entire continent.

The church only allowed the worship and devotion to the five original gods of the beginning, also known as the Original God or the righteous gods.

These included the God of Order, the God of Light, the God of Courage, the God of Wisdom, and the God of Love and Peace.

Conversely, five powerful deities were labeled as evil gods. Not only were they cast into the Abyss by the five original gods and forever abandoned by the world, but even their followers were hunted by the church, forced to live in the shadows like rats.

They were the God of Chaos, the God of Darkness, the God of Fear, the God of Folly, and the God of War and Discord.

Beyond these, there were some deities not recognized by the church but not suppressed either, who also had many followers.

Examples included the God of Wine, the God of Flowers, the God of Holidays, and so on.

Grinya's target was mainly focused on the "lesser evil gods" strictly forbidden by the church.

Such as the God of Sin, the God of Blood, the God of Eternity, and others.

However, the clues provided by that unknown deity were currently too few. Aside from knowing he had decent swordsmanship, was good at deduction, and was somewhat perverted, Grinya knew almost nothing about him.

Soon, her entire lunch break was spent flipping through materials on gods.

The good news was that she learned about many obscure minor deities, enriching her knowledge once again.

The bad news was that she had wasted a lot of time and still had nothing to show for it.

"Oh no! I have to take the theory test at two o'clock!"

Grinya suddenly remembered to check the time.

It was already 1:50 PM!

With only ten minutes left, she panicked, immediately dropped the books in her hands, and rushed toward the examination hall without stopping.

The Yiertaya Royal Academy valued punctuality immensely. Any candidate who was late, regardless of the reason, would lose their eligibility for the exam!

"Oh, damn it, damn it! How could I forget something so important!" Grinya berated herself as she ran with all her might.

She only needed twenty points on the theory test to be admitted to the Yiertaya Royal Academy. How could she mess up at such a critical moment!

...

Lu Xun, who had just ordered a cup of milk tea, returned to his computer desk.

Now that he finally had a bit of money, he naturally had to reward himself.

While waiting for the computer to start, he looked at the messages in the fan group.

Some fans were asking why he had suddenly stopped the stream this morning.

Lu Xun had to explain that the internet had cut out.

"What about this afternoon? Are you going to stream?"

"Testing a new game. Confidential content, can't stream."

"Oho, the streamer is doing well for himself, even getting sponsorships now."

The group was suddenly flooded with messages. Lu Xun smiled, placed his milk tea on the table, and glanced at the time.

It was exactly two o'clock.

He should be able to continue the quests now, right?

...

"Phew, at least I made it at the last second."

Grinya sighed with satisfaction, her gaze falling upon the exam paper on the desk.

"This year's exam questions are quite simple!"

Grinya only needed a glance for her heart to swell with joy.

It seemed she wouldn't just successfully enroll in the Yiertaya Royal Academy this year; she might even easily secure a spot as a top student!

All of this was thanks to the evil god!

Without his help in getting a perfect score on the practical assessment, it would have been impossible for her to obtain a top student spot.

Thank the evil god, praise the evil god!

Suddenly, the smile on Grinya's face froze.

W-wait...

This feeling...

The evil god was back!

"Hmm? The exam has already started?"

The evil god's voice rang in her ear right on time.

For a moment, she didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

It was clearly her own exam, yet she couldn't participate in person, as if she were the outsider in this test that concerned her destiny.

Still, the evil god's knowledge was surely much broader than hers.

If the evil god took the test for her, he might even help her get another perfect score.

The only problem was... would having two perfect scores be too conspicuous?

What if she caught the attention of the kingdom's high-ranking officials and the church's leadership at the same time?

The evil god wouldn't be exposed, would he?

Lu Xun was a bit surprised.

He had only gone out for lunch, and the game had already entered a story sequence upon his return?

Do game characters have their own lives too?

Whatever, let it be; this saved him some time.

However, he didn't expect that for this theory test, the game company would actually set up a real exam paper!

Damn it!

Do you expect a college student who graduated high school three years ago to answer these questions for you?

Impossible!

It's time to activate the forbidden power!

Come forth, Doubao!!!

Lu Xun clicked on Doubao.

Then, he looked at the contents of the exam paper with a smug expression.

【&%&……%￥&#】

Lu Xun froze.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again.

【&%&……%￥&#】

Hiss—it wasn't that his eyes were playing tricks on him. He couldn't even understand a single symbol on this exam paper.

It was all some nonsensical gibberish, just like the symbol that had appeared in Teacher Zephu's palm.

Only a ghost could understand this!

Having an exam as game content was already ridiculous, but putting up a primary schooler's scribbles and calling them exam questions—what the hell was the meaning of this?

Is the game designer brain-dead!

Lu Xun couldn't take it, but thinking about how he was being paid, he could only grit his teeth and keep going.

But aside from the Arabic numerals indicating the question numbers at the start, he couldn't understand a single question.

Forget it, he would just fill it in randomly. He didn't believe this game would actually let him fail the quest.

A long time ago, Grinya used to hate people who got something for nothing.

Those who didn't participate in any productive activities but enjoyed the fruits of victory alongside the working people were crawling with maggots from top to bottom.

Disgusting and unbearable!

But now, Grinya suddenly felt that this feeling wasn't so bad after all.

In the past, her righteous indignation was simply because the one enjoying the fruits of victory wasn't her.

Besides, it wasn't like she hadn't paid anything, right?

At the very least, she had given up her body!

The one taking the exam for her was a great existence from ancient times, an evil god with profound knowledge who was nearly omniscient and omnipotent!
