Chapter 173 | Reborn as a Saint in a Rotten World, I Refuse to Submit

Kevin stood where he was.

The others had left one after another, leaving only Kevin, Nara, and me in the great hall.

I looked at Kevin, and he was watching me too. The atmosphere in the room remained silent for a long time until he finally spoke slowly.

"Your Highness, I wonder when you plan to issue your decree?"

He didn't waste any words, asking the question directly.

【Decree of Distribution of Grace】

I had already discussed this with him, and he was in full agreement with the idea.

As a Heavenly Punishment Knight, his position was somewhat awkward. On one hand, he was a noble; on the other, he belonged to the Temple.

His position and status did not allow him to waver like a fence-sitter between the two sides.

So, he had chosen me.

"Kevin, I don't have high demands for your expedition. I only need you to hold back the demon army, but there is one thing you must do."

"Please speak, Your Highness."

"You must kill Barry Garnet and spread the word that he defected to the demons for the sake of his family estate."

Kevin was slightly taken down, pausing for a moment before looking up at me.

"Does Your Highness mean to use this as an excuse to launch the 【Decree of Distribution of Grace】?"

"Exactly."

I nodded and stepped down from the divine platform.

Only when I walked up to Kevin did I realize that my height only reached his neck. Good grief, this guy must be over six feet tall.

Sigh... I used to be that tall too, but now... I'm barely five-foot-three.

"There is one more thing you must remember, Kevin."

"Please go on, Your Highness."

Kevin looked at me with a solemn expression. Clearly, his attitude toward me was very respectful now. Perhaps he truly believed what I had said.

Or perhaps he felt I actually had the ability to revitalize the Kingdom of the Moon.

But regardless, one thing was certain: he was currently on my side.

"Be absolutely careful of the Dressas family. The Campbell family under them has already participated in Barry Garnet's rebellion. Although the Dressas family hasn't officially declared their rebellion yet, it's only a matter of time."

"The Dressas?"

Kevin pondered for a moment.

"I can actually talk to Derek. Perhaps for my sake, he won't lead his family to total ruin."

"Derek?"

"The current head of the Dressas family."

"It would be best if that's the case. But if they insist on rebelling, Kevin... I'll leave everything to you."

Kevin bowed his head, a flash of determination in his eyes.

"Please rest assured, Your Highness. No matter who it is, I will not allow anyone to disrupt the path to the Kingdom of the Moon's revival!!"

Afterward, I exchanged a few polite pleasantries with Kevin, asking about mundane things that weren't very substantial.

Like how many people were in his family, whether his parents were well, and so on.

Just trivial stuff.

After chatting for about half an hour, Kevin finally took his leave.

This meeting had finally come to an end.

....

Leaning half-reclined on the divine couch, I felt exhausted. A slight cramp in my lower abdomen made me instantly irritable.

There were too many things to deal with. On one hand, there was the noble rebellion; on the other, the demon army was at the gates. I also had to be wary of the Holy See acting in the shadows, while simultaneously dealing with the million refugees outside the city.

Being a Saintess is really... sigh.

Most importantly... there was something thick between my legs. It was a bit stuffy and hot, making me extremely uncomfortable.

"Nara, when can I stop using this thing?"

I rubbed my lower belly. The warmth of my hand felt quite soothing.

"Your Highness, it will take at least three or four more days."

"I want orange juice... get me a glass."

"Your Highness, you cannot drink orange juice right now."

I... damn it!

I can't even drink orange juice?

This is trying to kill me!

Just let me die!

I flipped over and lay flat on the bed. My belly felt soft and comfortable against the divine couch, but... my chest started to feel a dull ache from the pressure.

Son of a...!

Of all the things to reincarnate as, why did it have to be a Saintess!

Even if I had to be a Saintess, I would have accepted being flat-chested, but no, they had to be big.

Even lying face down has become a form of torture!

Take sleeping, for example. When I sleep on my back, I always feel like my chest is being crushed.

When I sleep on my side, one side is relieved, but the other shoulder always feels a heavy pull.

It forces me to toss and turn several times every night just to get some decent sleep.

Sigh... I didn't think about all this when I was jerking off to the game.

Back then, the complaints about how painful a 'heavy burden' could be were just part of the turn-on.

But now that I'm the one being jerked off to, I'm experiencing firsthand exactly what a 'heavy burden' entails.

I'm also experiencing the pain girls go through during this phase.

Sigh... it's not even that it hurts so much, it's just incredibly awkward!

I'm a grown man... even if I'm a delicate little lady now.

But having a thick layer of padding down there makes everything feel wrong.

I can only lie here.

Suddenly, a question occurred to me.

"Nara."

"Yes?"

"Do you think if I did a handstand, I could hold all of it back in?"

Nara blinked, stunned for a long while.

"Your Highness, what nonsense are you talking about!! You must never have such thoughts, you..."

"Alright, alright, I get it—I get it~"

I rolled my eyes at Nara.

It was just a joke.

As if I didn't know that doing a handstand would be harmful.

But wouldn't it be useful in a crisis?

At the very least, it should prevent side leakage.

Seeing Nara's face getting darker and darker, I wisely chose to change the subject.

"Nara, what's for dinner tonight?"

"Your Highness, it's bread, chicken soup, and steak."

"Oh..."

There was really nothing new. It was either steak or soup. There was never any food that truly made my eyes light up.

I have to say, this world's pursuit of gourmet food is far too low.

Everyone else went off to be busy, and in the end, I was the only one left with nothing to do.

Is this what it means to be a ruler?

When it's busy, I'm overwhelmed and running in circles.

When it's not, I just lie here sighing.

Speaking of which... could I transform into a little chef and research some recipes?

Should I bring the five thousand years of Chinese culinary civilization here?

No sooner said than done!

With that thought, I flipped over to sit up. Before I could even stand, I felt something 'whoosh' down in my lower abdomen.

Then, a strange warm sensation spread from that thick pad.

"Nara... that..."

"Hmm?"

I turned to look at Nara with a look of helpless frustration, complaining in my heart about the bizarre 'notification mode' of this pad.

"It's full."

"Your Highness, a new one is already prepared. Please change into it immediately."

The Saintess's robe itself wasn't particularly easy to put on. I had no choice but to go back to the bedroom, take off the robe, replace the pad, and put the robe back on.

Feeling the dryness beneath me, a smile finally tugged at the corner of my mouth.

New ones are the best~

Huh?

What is Nara doing?

I watched Nara as she took that pad—the one that made my heart race with embarrassment—carefully placed it into a box, and closed it.

"Nara, what are you doing?"

Nara looked back at me as if it were the most natural thing in the world and replied:

"Saving it properly, of course."

"...Why the hell are you saving that thing!! Throw it away already!"

Saving it my ass!

Why would you save that!

Just throw it out!!

"Your Highness, this is worth several thousand gold coins. How can we just throw it away?"

"Sev... several thousand?"

"Yes. Mages and alchemists, even some wizards, are very eager to get these. After all, this is one of the best materials to use in magic. I heard that since the previous Saintess ascended, the price for this has been driven up to one gold coin per gram!"

"One... one gram?! One gold coin!?"

Ten thousand per gram? Holy mother of... this thing is worth more than gold!

"And even then, there's no supply!"

"..."

Watching Nara hold that box containing the indescribable object like it was a treasure, I couldn't help but press a hand to my forehead.

I felt like... my worldview was taking a massive hit.

"Just... take it away..."

I waved my hand and sat down weakly on the sofa.

The moment those three words left my mouth, I felt my integrity drifting away in the wind.

I could even imagine a day when I'd have to sell my body for the sake of the Kingdom of the Moon!

Ptui!!

I'm not selling my body!!

No matter what, I cannot let myself fall to that level!

That is the final bottom line I must hold!

I watched as Nara, holding the box like a precious treasure, solemnly handed it to a personal nun nearby.

The nun took it as if she were receiving a diamond the size of a steamed bun and carefully carried it away.

I felt my worldview completely shatter in that instant.

"Um... Nara."

"Your Highness?"

"Don't forget to sell it for a good price."

"..."

Nara blinked, looking completely bewildered.

This little interlude had completely shattered my common sense.

I also understood this eroge world a bit better.

In short, no matter what came off my body, it was a priceless treasure out there.

Speaking of which... if I really can't cut it as a Saintess, could I open a Saintess Auction House and specifically auction off the 'excess' things from my body?
