“Sss...”
Once the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf was slain, the tension Silas had been holding in his chest finally dissolved, and the sharp, stinging pain radiating from all over his body made him gasp.
It hurt. It hurt like absolute hell.
Silas looked down at his body. His left arm and waist were covered in shredded clothing and dripping with blood, and there was even a bite mark deep enough to expose the bone on his right leg.
The intense pain from his wounds caused cold sweat to break out on Silas's forehead, and he clenched his teeth so hard they creaked.
This was Silas's first real combat. He realized that many of the moves he had practiced before—moves he had thought could serve as lethal finishing blows—were impossible to execute when the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub was charging at him.
Facing the gaping, bloody maw of the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub, his mind might not have gone completely blank, but he simply didn't have the time to think through what kind of move he should use to block the cub's sharp claws.
Everything happened too fast; there was simply no time for him to think.
Facing the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub's relentless charges, he could only rely on the most primitive way of fighting: swinging his sword over and over again.
The only thing he could do was focus more on the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub's vital spots whenever he swung his sword.
So in the end, the battle felt more like a raw, physical brawl between him and the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub.
It was common knowledge that a magical beast's physical strength far exceeded that of a human at the same realm.
Even heavy knights among humans had to rely on powerful defensive gear to face a magical beast of the same realm head-on.
If there were any humans who could truly engage in a raw physical brawl with a magical beast of the same realm, it would only be the warrior family rumored to possess ancient Titan blood—the Grand Duke Orlando family.
Located in the northern part of the empire and surrounded by ice and snow year-round, they possessed extremely powerful physiques.
But this also showed that the Callis family's 《Sword Qi Body Tempering Technique》 was indeed powerful. Otherwise, an ordinary swordsman of the same realm facing a Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf, known for its brutality and bloodlust, would have been pinned to the ground and bitten to death long ago.
“Go over there, take a recovery potion, and rest for a bit.”
Tina reached out and cast a thread of magic power, lifting the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub's corpse and tossing it to the edge of the drill grounds, before pointing to the right side of the reserve line.
There was a rack stocked with many potion bottles, filled with a green liquid that emitted a faint, soft glow.
“Next.”
Tina used her magic power to bring over another iron cage, then turned her head to look at the reserve line.
Hearing this voice, Silas, who was walking toward the recovery potion rack, stopped in his tracks. Enduring the pain radiating from his body, he turned to look at Tyr in the lineup.
He wanted to see how Tyr would deal with such a ferocious Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub.
All this time, whether it was the morning medicinal bath, the morning sword qi body tempering, or the afternoon sword training, this guy always seemed to do it with effortless ease.
Silas wanted to see Tyr in a pathetic state. To that end, he even pushed the pain in his own body to the back of his mind.
Within the reserve line, Letitia and Barry did not rush forward either. Having witnessed Silas's brutal fight, they also wanted to see how Tyr would handle it.
Not just the three of them, but the other reserves in the lineup also shifted their gazes to Tyr.
Tyr naturally noticed the gazes on him, but he didn't care much. Seeing that no one was stepping forward, he walked over to the spot where Silas had just stood.
“Instructor Tina, I'll go.”
“Alright.”
Tina nodded. She also wanted to see what kind of surprise this little guy, who always handled everything with ease, would bring her today.
“Good luck, Brother Tyr.”
Within the reserve line, Sevira softly cheered for Tyr.
Click.
Tina opened the cage containing the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub. A blood-red shadow immediately lunged out, charging straight at Tyr.
Compared to the one Silas had faced, the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub Tyr was facing seemed to be slightly stronger.
On the drill grounds, everyone's eyes were fixed on Tyr.
They all wanted to see what kind of combat style Tyr would use to deal with such a troublesome magical beast.
In the center of the drill grounds, Tyr held his sword in front of him with both hands just like Silas had done. Lowering his stance slightly, his eyes locked onto the oncoming figure of the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub.
Unlike Silas, who had also charged when facing the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub, Tyr stood firmly in place, showing absolutely no intention of making a move.
“What is he doing? Why is he standing completely still?”
“I don't know. It's probably some tactic we don't know about?”
“How long do you think it'll take him to kill this Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub?”
“Definitely less time than Silas. After all, even when Silas and the other two teamed up, they were no match for Tyr.”
“Do you think the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub will be able to injure Tyr?”
“Are you kidding? That's a Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf, one of the most troublesome low-tier magical beasts. How could it let Tyr escape unscathed? Not to mention, once it enters its berserk state, even if you slash it with your sword, it can still turn around and bite you.”
Seeing Tyr's current actions, none of them were stupid enough to think that Tyr was paralyzed with fear.
They were only guessing how Tyr would kill this Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub, and how long it would take him to do so.
But what happened next left everyone, including Tina, completely stunned.
Watching the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub draw closer and closer, Tyr channeled all of his magic power into the sword in his hand.
Not only that, but as Tyr channeled the magic power within his body, an incredibly sharp aura also began to emanate from the knightly sword in his hand.
This was another function of the 《Sword Qi Body Tempering Technique》. It not only granted practitioners a more powerful physique, but it also enhanced their offensive power.
Whoosh!
In the blink of an eye, the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub was already in front of him. Tyr could even clearly see its razor-sharp claws gleaming with a cold light.
And at that exact moment, Tyr finally moved.

Using his left foot as a pivot, he abruptly shifted his position. Evading the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub's attack, his body was already facing the side of the cub's body.
Swish!
Seizing the opportunity as the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub lunged and missed, Tyr raised his sword with both hands and slashed down fiercely.
Screech!
A somewhat grating sound rang out. It was the sound of the iron sword clashing against the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf's bone.
Crack!
But immediately afterward, the sound of snapping bone followed.
As the knightly sword fell, Tyr cleanly and decisively severed the Bloodthirsty Magic Wolf cub's head.
From the beginning to the end of the battle, Tyr had only used a single strike.
