“Brother Tyr.”
Seeing Tyr emerge from the tent, Sevira waved toward him.
After attempting to use Baina, she had also caught six silverline flying fish—not many, but enough for her and her maid to eat.
Of course, not all the reserves had succeeded. There were still quite a few of them splashing around in the stream.
After failing to construct the magic circuits dozens of times in a row, they had completely given up and were now trying to catch the silverline flying fish through sheer brute force.
After drinking another two bowls of fish soup, Tyr finally felt full.
In the camp, not all the reserves managed to eat lunch in the end. To be precise, those who actually caught silverline flying fish were in the minority.
Those who couldn't catch any fish naturally had to watch others eat while their own stomachs rumbled.
It wasn't just the luckless reserves who went hungry; their exclusive maids had nothing to eat either.
Thus, the saying that an exclusive maid's fate was bound to the master she served was entirely accurate.
After a brief afternoon rest, the reserves returned to the stream to catch more fish.
In the entire reserve force, apart from Tyr, who could smoothly execute Baina, everyone else was extremely clumsy. Their magic power frequently cut out, causing their magic circuits to collapse.
Even the highly talented foursome of Sevira, Silas, Letitia, and Barry could only maintain the state of Baina for a dozen breaths or so.
Consequently, the fish they had caught in the morning were only enough for one meal. If they didn't want to go hungry tonight, they had to keep fishing.
Because of his stellar performance in the morning, Tyr was granted permission to rest.
“The purpose of this outing was to let you all relax. Since you completed your task ahead of time, we naturally won't pile on more work,” Instructor Ed had said.
Was the purpose really to relax?
Every reserve except Tyr was highly skeptical of this claim.
Under the afternoon sun, a large crowd of reserves was still splashing around in the stream, trying to catch fish.
Tyr sat under a tree, enjoying the peaceful afternoon.
Leaning against the rough bark in a comfortable position, the last lingering aches and magic depletion from overusing Baina in the morning dissipated with the gentle mountain breeze.
Compared to the grueling training back in the Sword Prison, today was indeed a relaxation for Tyr.
His previously taut mind relaxed completely, and without realizing it, Tyr entered an incredibly ethereal state.
The magic circuits of 《Baina》 that he had channeled while fishing in the morning still lingered within his limbs and bones. In this state, the residual circuits actually began to circulate spontaneously.
Not only that, the Taiji diagram Magic Circle slowly spinning at Tyr's heart also began to rotate rapidly, as if undergoing some unknown reaction with this set of circuits.
Various natural forces of heaven and earth began to manifest in Tyr's senses: the earthy-yellow force of the earth, the azure force of the wind, the green force of wood...
These forces spontaneously swirled around Tyr, eventually gathering in front of him to form a spinning Taiji diagram.
As the different forces of heaven and earth shifted, the colors of the Taiji diagram changed accordingly. The surrounding magic power began to be drawn by this power, rapidly converging toward Tyr.
“This is...!”
Avia, who had been closely watching Tyr, was the first to notice the anomaly. Her pupils contracted sharply as her aura shifted. At this moment, even if a Sword Prison instructor suddenly approached, she would launch an attack without hesitation.
As the forces of heaven and earth and magic power accumulated around Tyr, the instructors in the distance also noticed the situation.
“This is a Flash of Insight!”
Shock registered on the faces of Ed and the other Sword Prison instructors.
It wasn't that they lacked experience; rather, this phenomenon was incredibly rare.
A Flash of Insight was a unique state where a transcendent's mind resonated with the magic power of heaven and earth. It allowed them to instantly see through the essence of martial arts, magic, and other techniques, rapidly breaking through any bottlenecks.
Such a state was a matter of pure luck; most people would never experience a single Flash of Insight in their entire lives.
Up until now, even the instructors had only read about the Flash of Insight in books. None of them had ever witnessed it in reality—it was simply too rare.
It was said that the first Grand Duke Callis had created the 《Sword Qi Body Tempering Technique》 while in a state of Flash of Insight, establishing the foundation of House Callis.
Seeing Avia standing guard by Tyr's side, they merely watched from afar and did not rashly approach.
Buzz—
A barely perceptible sound echoed deep within Tyr's mind. It wasn't an auditory sound, but a tremor that struck the very core of his soul.
In an instant, Tyr's perception of everything in the world became crystal clear. A surge of energy welled up from his mind, as if his soul had left his body to hover high in the sky. A pair of invisible eyes opened, casting their gaze over a radius of dozens of meters around him.
At this moment, Tyr entered a god-like perspective. Every crisscrossing vein on the grass beneath him, the overlapping petals of the wild flowers, the minute patterns on the tree behind him, and even the shattered reflections of sunlight inside the dewdrops on the leaves all entered his vision with perfect clarity.
This wasn't just a form of perception; Tyr was literally seeing it.
Entering this state for the first time, Tyr was highly excited. He manipulated this perspective to observe every inch of the surrounding terrain.
Whether it was the flora on the ground, Avia standing beside him in a combat stance, the instructors watching from dozens of meters away, or even the movements of tiny earthworms beneath the soil, the intricate tunnels of anthills, and the fine roots of trees spreading underground—nothing could hide from him.
Just as Tyr was still immersed in this novel state, a voice suddenly boomed in his mind.
“Fellow countryman, come find me.”
The sudden intrusion of the voice instantly startled Tyr out of his state.
Tyr slowly opened his eyes. The god-like perspective overlooking the world faded completely, and his vision returned to the ordinary sights of the physical world.
The overlapping leaves cast fragmented golden light, the wild flowers beside him swayed in the wind, and the distant sound of the flowing stream drifted over gently.
Seeing Tyr emerge from the Flash of Insight, Avia dispersed her aura and silently stepped back to guard him from the side.
Was that... an epiphany?
Tyr hadn't read any records concerning the Flash of Insight, but the state he had just experienced was highly similar to the concept of sudden enlightenment—an epiphany—from his previous life.
