The god war ended just like that?
Even after utilizing his external Eternal Imprisonment Brain, Dalun Li still couldn't see exactly how the battle had concluded.
The Chaos God was wounded, and the Harvest God was imprisoned—this was the outcome.
Clearly, the Chaos God had achieved his objective.
Now that the Harvest God was hidden in the depths of chaos, even the other Orthodox Gods had no way to rescue him.
After all, the chaotic space was the Chaos God's domain.
By now, the tremors throughout the Well of Eternal Imprisonment had ceased, and the adventurers had regained their composure.
Dalun Li quickly located the several Harvest Church priests he had marked.
The power within Caspar's body, which had spiraled out of control, had now stabilized; he seemed largely unaffected.
This meant that the Harvest God was not dead. Priests who followed the faith could still pray to him for power.
Meanwhile, the elven priest, Eomer, also believed in the power of plant life, yet he hadn't been affected in the slightest from beginning to end.
“Is the power of plant life that Eomer believes in not derived from the Harvest God?”
Eomer believed in nature itself. Its avatar was the World Tree, and its source of power was also the World Tree.
Consequently, despite the Harvest God's imprisonment, Eomer had remained completely unaffected throughout the entire process.
Dalun Li had originally assumed that the natural life the elven priests believed in was simply an alias for the Harvest God.
What now...
What should I do now?
Dalun Li felt a profound sense of crisis. This god war had begun and ended with startling speed.
The Chaos God's only target was the Harvest God; he had no intention of escalating the conflict further.
And so, the battle had concluded quickly.
The Chaos God would undoubtedly return. A true god war was bound to erupt in the near future.
It would be a war between the chaotic space and the material world—between the Chaos God and the Orthodox Gods of matter.
“Dammit, I still have too little information. I have no idea which side I should take when the time comes.”
Having witnessed the overwhelming power of the gods, the sense of dread in Dalun Li's heart was difficult to quell.
In the midst of a god war, even the slightest mistake in the path he chose would result in him being crushed like a pebble between colliding deities.
In any case, focusing on his own growth could never be the wrong choice.
Dalun Li looked toward the chaotic space.
Existing in a no-man's-land, a blind spot between chaos and matter, he was a massive loophole.
The Chaos God didn't realize the uniqueness of his existence, and the Orthodox Gods wouldn't spare him a second glance.
Within this loophole, he possessed a golden period for development.
Furthermore, the Harvest God...
With the aid of the Eternal Imprisonment Brain, Dalun Li focused his attention on the Harvest God.
The Chaos God had no idea that a hidden third party had observed the entire god war from start to finish.
He didn't realize that all of his maneuvers had taken place under Dalun Li's watchful eye.
Moreover, the Chaos God had utilized the powers of two evil gods—the Dark Starry Sky and Withered Reincarnation—to imprison the Harvest God.
Yet Dalun Li happened to possess the powers of those very same evil gods.
Perhaps he could locate the Harvest God's prison and even liberate him.
Dalun Li's non-existent heart thudded in his chest.
Liberate the Harvest God?
If he did that, he would undoubtedly be aligning himself with the Orthodox Gods.
But how did the Orthodox Gods and the Chaos God view dungeons? Especially one with its own will?
Even though the Harvest God had been repairing the dungeon during the previous battle...
...he couldn't simply view the entire Orthodox God camp as his allies.
What if, in the eyes of the Orthodox Gods, he was nothing more than crops in a field?
When faced with an enemy destroying their crops, the gods would naturally intervene to protect them.
But does that mean the crops can consider the farmer their ally?
The world was not so simple.
Only after gathering enough information to understand the true attitudes of the gods toward dungeons and uncovering the truths of this world could he make the right choice for himself.
His goal wasn't necessarily to rescue the Harvest God, but to hold the possibility of doing so as a trump card.
At the same time, the fundamental principle was to absorb more nutrients from this process and strive to become stronger.
As his contemplations concluded with the assistance of the Eternal Imprisonment Brain, Dalun Li turned his thoughts to another matter.
The Dark Starry Sky and Withered Reincarnation.
It was too coincidental.
He had obtained the powers of these two evil gods separately, and then the Chaos God had used those exact powers to seal the Harvest God.
It was as if an invisible hand were making these arrangements from the shadows.
Dalun Li didn't believe in coincidences.
Every coincidence could be a meticulously laid plan by an unknown entity in a place he couldn't see.
Who was it?
The Chaos God's plan?
The Orthodox Gods' plan?
Or perhaps it was the plan of whatever entity had turned him into a dungeon in the first place.
Since arriving in this world, Dalun Li had never truly pondered why he had become a dungeon.
That didn't mean he took it for granted.
It was simply that he had been too weak back then to even have the capacity to consider such a question.
The same was true now; he was still just a weak dungeon.
But in the face of the god war and these successive coincidences, he was forced to confront the issue.
Why had he become a dungeon?
Why had he come to this world?
Who was the one pulling the strings behind the scenes?
In truth, Dalun Li had also prepared some countermeasures.
Those were the pedestal guardians—beings with their own wills who were loyal to him.
Their sole purpose was to protect him.
Regardless of what plan the hidden hand eventually enacted or what its goal was...
...he would never doubt the loyalty of his guardians. They would be his final line of defense.
The guardians' powers were specialized in various ways, serving as Dalun Li's ultimate contingency.
His ideal team of guardians, once complete, would ideally be able to coordinate with each other and even be capable of defeating him.
That way, even if he lost control of himself in the future, the guardians could take him down, giving him a chance to regain his will.
Perhaps he was just overthinking things.
Dalun Li looked toward the chaotic space once more.
The thoughts of the Eternal Imprisonment Brain moved too quickly; he had inadvertently let his mind race and ended up contemplating such matters.
Dalun Li dispersed these thoughts and returned to his previous state.
Within the chaotic space, the debris of the god war still lingered.
Among them was the divine blood shed by the Chaos God, the holy light left by the Goddess of Light, and the shattered remains of the battlefield the God of the Foundry had forged within the chaos.
There were also the Harvest remains—portions of the Harvest God's power that had been suppressed by Withered Reincarnation and left floating in the void after his imprisonment.
None of these had been reclaimed by the gods; they simply drifted motionless within the chaos.
