Before long, Olivia had demonstrated all of her abilities.
When showing the Eye of Discernment, she didn't actually need to see anything she shouldn't.
With Ivy's strength, she could clearly perceive Olivia activating the Eye of Discernment, as Ivy herself was also an Ascetic.
As for the use of abilities like the Blade of Cleansing and Miniaturization, those were even more obvious.
After confirming that Olivia had truly mastered all the abilities of the Transcender class rank, Ivy couldn't help but let out a sigh of admiration.
"It seems you have indeed made sufficient preparations. In that case, I can give you the advancement ritual to become a Domainist right now. However, you must not rush into performing it. Wait until you feel that sense of completion within yourself before attempting the breakthrough."
"I understand, Sister Ivy."
Next, Ivy gave Olivia everything she needed.
She also told Olivia to come and inform her when she was truly ready to perform the advancement ritual, as she would make certain arrangements.
Just like the advancement to Transcender, the ritual was not something one could complete alone; it required others to provide assistance.
After reaching the mid-level class rank, almost all advancement rituals were like this—difficult to complete as an individual. This applied not only to the Ascetic path but to all other transcendent paths as well.
Olivia readily agreed and then took her leave.
Next was to relax and wait calmly.
Before every class rank breakthrough, a transcendent needs to reach a state of completion before they can advance.
As for when this feeling of completion would arrive, it was hard to say and somewhat dependent on luck.
If luck was on one's side, the feeling would appear quickly; if not, it might be delayed indefinitely.
However, this was not an absolute requirement.
Even if the natural feeling didn't manifest, one could still forcibly hold the advancement ritual to attempt a breakthrough. But doing so would greatly increase the probability of failure.
A failed advancement would cause immense harm to a Transcender, making them unable to perform another ritual for a long time. Therefore, unless absolutely necessary, no one would choose to advance prematurely.
Olivia didn't want to take that risk either, so she began looking for various ways to relax herself.
First, she went to the theater to watch a currently popular play.
Then, she went to the racecourse to watch a horse race.
She also went to a bookstore to browse through some books.
Finally, she found a card room and played various local games.
She was exploring different ways to unwind.
A full day passed just like that.
She planned to spend the second, third, and even fourth days in a similar fashion. With the immediate threats gone, her primary goal was to increase her class rank.
Finally, as a new day dawned, an unexpected situation arose.
Early that morning, Olivia felt an extremely unnatural sensation permeate her entire body. Even though the weather was clear and the day was beautiful, this sense of unease still welled up in her heart.
As her strength continued to grow, her inspiration had become increasingly exaggerated. She often received many early warnings, a level of startling inspiration that other transcendents rarely possessed.
This was likely related to her being a transmigrator and her possession of the magic mirror.
Especially the latter—the magic mirror was fused into her soul and had caused certain changes to it.
Sensing this strange and subtle change, Olivia hurriedly called out in her mind, questioning the magic mirror.
"Magic mirror, magic mirror, I feel a bit uneasy. Do you know if anything bad related to me has happened?"
The magic mirror quickly provided a response.
【Something unexpected has occurred. Thales, who is in the underground ruins, has encountered a turning point and might survive.】
Hearing this, Olivia's eyes widened instantly, barely able to believe what she was hearing.
With a face full of confusion, she asked, "How could Thales suddenly have a chance to survive? Didn't you say before that his death was certain? Since you reached that conclusion, why can he still survive?"
She couldn't understand. Olivia simply couldn't understand—could the magic mirror actually make a mistake in judgment?
【The accident comes from outside Kaliron...】
The magic mirror slowly explained the reason for this unexpected turn of events.
The magic mirror's judgment was, of course, not wrong, but this variable came from outside Kaliron, and its current range of control was limited to the Imperial Capital.
From outside Kaliron, a person belonging to the Rose Legion had returned to the city.
This person was named Everett. He possessed strength no less than that of Thales and had a very good relationship with him.
Upon arriving in Kaliron, Everett immediately went looking for Thales, only to find it difficult to locate him through conventional means.
However, Everett was not without special methods. Once he employed them, he would eventually be able to find the underground ruins and Thales's location, thereby rescuing him.
While the phantom demon in the underground ruins could handle one transcendent of Thales's level, if there were two such transcendents, the phantom demon would be powerless.
Once Thales was rescued, his attention would naturally fall upon Miss Stella. Then, the disaster meant for Olivia would naturally follow.
At that point, unless Olivia abandoned the identity of Stella, she would have to face the threat of two Skywalkers, which would be absolutely lethal.
After the magic mirror explained the whole story, Olivia fell silent, having failed to foresee such a development.
Looking at the timing, Everett had already arrived in Kaliron and was currently searching for Thales.
"Fortunately... fortunately I found out about this in advance." Olivia took a deep breath, trying her best to relax her mind.
Things had not yet reached an irreversible stage. Being able to know in advance meant she could resolve it in advance.
She could ignore Thales for now, as the phantom demon was enough to keep him trapped. The main problem now was Everett.
Olivia began to ask the magic mirror for the specific time Everett would find Thales and how to stop him.
"Magic mirror, give me a sufficiently detailed plan to solve this problem."
【Master, we actually cannot prevent Everett from finding Thales. This is related to the individual himself. Currently, we have only one most effective method.】
