Chapter 123 | Reincarnated as a Prince in a Twisted Fairy Tale World

To be honest, having a peerless beauty like Viviana willing to stand entirely on his side and brag about his abilities to another world-shakingly beautiful girl was indeed something any man would be secretly delighted about.

But exaggerating too much was a bit embarrassing; Faust still wanted to stick to the basic facts, or at least not stray too far from reality.

"That might not necessarily be bragging, or at least not after this."

Just as Faust was so embarrassed he was about to snap his eyes open, Mephisto's voice rang out in his mind.

"You have already condensed a related mystery trait. I plan to use that trait as a foundation to integrate the Great Thunder. From now on, even without my filtering, you will be able to properly use some of the Great Thunder's power."

"As for the side effect, you will have to satisfy the demands of the divine authority in order to use and advance it."

Hearing Mephisto's words, Faust was also curious about what kind of trait the Great Thunder had left in his body and what price would be required to wield it.

The exhilarating experience of wielding the Great Thunder, as if he could dominate the entire world at will, was truly unforgettable for Faust.

Thus, he shifted his attention to inspecting his own status.

Sure enough, in addition to his original monarch of greed, another condensed mystery trait had appeared.

【Great thunder mark (incomplete)】

【The lingering traces of the most masculine, unyielding, greatest, and purest divine authority within your body have transformed into a permanent brand.】

【It simultaneously releases the power of lightning, thunder, and thunderbolts, which can be used for both creation and destruction. As this was originally an authority belonging to a god-king, symbolizing rule and dominion, even a small fragment of it far exceeds worldly imagination.】

【The Great Thunder is bound to be the most masculine of males, capable of possessing the fairest of the opposite sex and exercising the absolute right of dominance and guidance befitting a god-king and a father god.】

"So... the price is just enhancing my virility? Engaging in endless nights of plowing? Is that even a price?"

Faust stared for a long time, eventually concluding that this was much ado about nothing.

He had wondered what kind of cost it would be, but even without the Great Thunder's requirement, Faust was already intent on being active in the bedroom. He simply couldn't help himself!

Did they not understand what it meant to be a slave to lust? He thought with pride.

"That is why I said your compatibility with the Great Thunder is perfect. What you see as a reward, others would find to be an insult more terrifying than death."

"Hah, you should know, my compatriot... Zeus castrated his already-formed vessel just to reject the divine authority of the Great Thunder. Because of that, he died without a grave, and his existence can no longer be found even within the circuits of the great wheel of life."

Mephisto sighed with emotion, but Faust had little interest in the stories between fairies. However, the fact that Zeus actually didn't want to be a stallion was quite surprising to him.

Well, even if it was just a role played by a fairy, a eunuch Zeus certainly deserved to die.

Since he had condensed a mystery trait centered around divine authority, he decided to see how his path rank was progressing!

Faust was quite optimistic about this because he had made progress in both experience channels of the sovereign monarch path during this trip.

Regarding the path of conquest, he had essentially conquered the Midwinter Kingdom... by way of conquering its royal family.

Faust was certain that as soon as he woke up, he would establish a personal union with the Midwinter Kingdom in his capacity as a prince of Qingxi.

After all, Selena and Lola, the two princesses of Midwinter, had already been thoroughly won over by him. Their nature as witches made them purely romantically obsessive, viewing power and money as dross, and they certainly wouldn't mind Faust sharing their authority.

To be fair, Faust would never dare say he had "conquered" a witch. Even if they were deeply attached to and enamored with him, it couldn't be called conquest; after all, Faust knew exactly who the real powerhouse was.

But the contract to unite the crowns was real, and it could certainly be considered expanding his territory. How was that not conquering the Midwinter Kingdom?

Regarding the path of subjugation, that was even more indisputable.

He had actually defeated a grail knight! He had even crushed the dragon's eye with the empowerment of the Great Thunder. These deeds were significant enough to be recorded in a heroic tale for people to sing about.

Faust felt he should be able to promote to the rank of a 【hero】 and officially join the ranks of the truly powerful.

【Faust Qingxi】

【Path: sovereign monarch】

【Rank: Master】

【A path leading to the supreme sovereign. As a monarch of a nation, you must conquer, rule, and subjugate to achieve the great deeds of heroes and kings.】

Mystery Traits: 【monarch of greed】【great thunder mark (incomplete)】【grail-smasher】...

When Faust inspected his path rank, he fell into a long silence. Only then did he voice his doubt internally.

"That's not right. Why did my path experience only increase by this much? I didn't promote?"

Something was wrong! Something was definitely wrong! Faust was no longer an ignorant novice; path promotion in this fairy tale world wasn't actually that difficult. What Faust had done in this witches' feast was definitely enough for him to promote to a 【hero】.

"Faust, look further down."

Mephisto's voice prompted Faust to use his inspection spell to look deeper, and then he discovered that some strange things seemed to have appeared on his path.

First were three red marks.

【Mark of heroic valor】

【A proof gathered through the courageous and martial deeds you have displayed.】

Then were two pink marks.

【Mark of amorous songs】

【A proof gathered through the longing you feel for your loved ones.】

Finally, there was one blue mark.

【Mark of strategic foresight】

【A proof gathered through the thinking and strategy you have exhibited.】

Faust asked, "What are these...?"

"Products of the primordial path. They extracted your path experience to condense these marks. That is why your path experience growth is so weak; most of it was absorbed by the primordial path."

Only then did Faust remember that Mephisto had previously taught him the cultivation method of the primordial path, saying it could extract path experience that was not interfered with by the wheel of destiny.

So that was how it worked.

"So these marks... are the materials you use to mold a mortal vessel?"

"That is correct. However, these marks of the primordial path are indeed of no use to you. If you feel the burden is too great, you can..."

Faust interrupted, "There's no need for that. You're under a lot of pressure, Mephisto, so you take first dibs!"

The prince felt no resentment about his interests being encroached upon. He knew very well why he was able to achieve such things. Aside from his special constitution of being "loved by witches," Mephisto's help was the most critical factor.

Without Mephisto's constant guidance and assistance, Faust would have had almost no room to resist under the erosion of providence. Forget about showing off his might in the Midwinter Kingdom; just getting out of that basement would have been a victory!
