Chapter 148 | Reincarnated as a Prince in a Twisted Fairy Tale World

"Alkin!"

Stella shouted Alkin's full name, mocking the white-haired girl's self-righteousness as she raised her chin. "We're all part of the same pack. Who are you trying to fool?"

"Don't try to tell me you didn't feel that same desire. That would be beyond hypocritical."

The white-haired girl sighed softly, her voice trailing off. "This is exactly why I say I don't get along with you lot."

The moment she had first laid eyes on Faust, the white wolf's primal instincts had indeed taken the upper hand, just as Stella said.

I want to break him in! I want to break him in so badly!

That impulse had immediately seized her brain, but it lasted only a moment before she overcame it.

A sarcastic and angry smile played on Alkin's lips. "If you meet a man you like, the first thing you should do is pursue him step by step, not use force. Why must you be so crude? You refuse to clothe your true feelings in something beautiful."

"Even beasts understand the dance of courtship. Why has 'civilized' society regressed? This is a city of the kingdom, not the dark jungle."

The reason for the white wolf's anger was simple: this wasn't how a galgame was supposed to work!

When you meet someone you like, you're supposed to chat, give gifts, and slowly build up favorability. Only when the favorability reaches a certain level do you invite them on a date, confess, and finally unlock a special CG at a hotel.

How can you just jump straight to breaking him in? I won't accept it!

Alkin stroked her shoulder with her white-gloved left hand. "There's nothing wrong with admitting to biological instincts, but civilized people must know how to suppress them and present them in a... more dignified manner."

"Rather than using it purely to satisfy a desire, I would rather use that primal drive as fuel to reach higher achievements and embrace greater happiness."

What is this, reproductive dynamics? Id, ego, and superego?

Faust couldn't agree more. His greed was well-known, but no matter how much he lusted after beauty, he would never let his impulses override his reason. He could be serious when the situation called for it.

"She speaks the truth. I completely agree!"

Faust stood firmly on the white-haired girl's side, affirming, "Only a beast relies purely on violence. One who knows how to restrain violence is the truly powerful one."

Stella laughed with disdain. "Enough of this low-level preaching. Are you mocking us for being like beasts? There's no need. If we truly possessed only beastly nature, we wouldn't respect the rules at all; we would have just taken you by force already."

"It is precisely because of the family's laws and codes that you two can sit here safely."

Alkin's beautiful brows furrowed at those words. She shook her head and turned to Faust. "Let's go somewhere else."

However, the Prince sensed the white wolf's dissatisfaction and suddenly asked, "Do you want to teach them a lesson?"

Alkin spread her hands. "If possible, that would be best. Unfortunately, private duels are strictly forbidden within the family."

As soon as she spoke, the Prince stood up and adjusted his collar. "Ladies and gentlemen, you're being so aggressive because you feel you're the ones being restricted by the rules, as if you're the ones being wronged."

"Is it possible... and I'm just saying it's a possibility... that I'm actually the most restrained one here?"

Stella exchanged looks with the hunters behind her, and they all burst into laughter.

"Interesting. Foreigner, are you planning to challenge the pack?"

"It's not really a challenge. I just plan to experience the local customs and have a little spar."

Faust spread his arms. "Come. No weapons, no blood. We stand right here and fight hand-to-hand until someone moves their feet."

Stella laughed even louder. "Ha! You plan to compete in tenacity against the kin of the Moon Deity? Talk about... overestimating yourself!"

The female Hunter leaned in close, sniffing near the Prince's cheek. "You're very pretty, but not very smart."

Faust smiled. "You'll only know if you try. Otherwise, you'll just keep feeling far too good about yourselves."

Earlier, he had almost lost to a frenzied beast in front of Alkin, which he felt was quite embarrassing. He really needed to regain some face.

With stepping stones practically delivering themselves to his door, there was no reason to refuse.

The wolf-eared girl watched with great interest. Having seen Faust's thunder spell, she knew this foreign prince was no helpless weakling; on the contrary, he was a seasoned warrior.

Stella stretched her limbs. "Fine. In that case, let's have a wager. If we win, you spend a night with us. If we lose... then we'll follow your orders for a night."

A reward for winning and a penalty for losing? Not bad.

Faust opened his arms, signaling her to strike.

Stella lowered her knees slightly, clenched her fists, pulled back her abdomen, and threw a punch toward Faust's chest.

Thud—

With a dull sound, the wolf girl's fist was caught firmly in Faust's palm. Stella froze, seemingly unable to believe what she was seeing.

She hadn't seen when the man had moved. Her fist felt as if it had struck solid steel.

Before Stella could recover, Faust moved.

Gut punch! Gut punch! And another gut punch!

Bam, bam, bam—

He showed no intention of being a gentleman. To deal with the wolf's kin, who respected only the strong, one had to beat them into submission.

"Gah—"

Hit by such a violent barrage, Stella's eyes nearly bulged out, but she forced herself to stay rooted to the spot, not backing up an inch.

"Ha? I underestimated you. Nice technique."

She wiped the saliva from the corner of her mouth, staring at the man with wild eyes. She let out a low growl and ignored the pain, launching a frenzied offensive.

It was pure, raw physical combat!

The two stood their ground as a storm of blows swept through the cafe.

Thump—

Crack—

Crash—

Sofas split apart, bone china dinnerware shattered, and the chandelier was torn by the shockwaves of their movements.

This intense and brutal exchange lasted only thirty seconds. Under another heavy blow from Faust, the Elite Hunter finally collapsed to the ground, unable to bear any more. She curled her wolf tail and let out a whimper like a small animal.

Stella probably should have gone down at the first punch; everything after that was purely her holding on through sheer battle endurance.

"It seems I've won."

Faust rolled his wrists and looked down at Stella, who could only grab onto his pant leg. "According to our agreement, I won't ask you to do anything difficult. Just compensate the shop for the damages. And... show more respect to Alkin in the future!"

Stella, nearly fainting from the pain, gritted her teeth. "You... you're doing this for that lone wolf? You clearly know nothing. This so-called champion hunter... ha... she's actually a sinner who has been nearly exiled from the pack!"
