Chapter 86 | Reincarnated as a Prince in a Twisted Fairy Tale World

Every 【grail knight】 has overcome countless hardships and achieved glorious deeds. They are heroes who have sworn the 【Vow of Dedication】, committing the rest of their lives to defending the cause of justice.

Such men were incredibly resilient, and Faust did not believe that ordinary provocation would be effective.

But he happened to know exactly where the man’s weakness lay.

"Boom—"

As the sword-spear and greatsword clashed once more, the metal layers of the titan's weapon continued to peel away under the scorching heat of the 【Blazing Lake-Light Fire】, like a shower of sparks from an iron tree.

While locked in a contest of strength with the grail knight, Faust suddenly spoke: "Speaking of which, that bitch the Azure Maiden is quite obsessed with me to have sent you to capture me. Is she really that thirsty?"

"!!!"

Dathrohan was startled to hear this, then demanded sternly, "Prince Faust, what are you saying?!"

"I cannot ignore such disrespectful words toward a lady! I demand you immediately retract your slander against a respectable woman!"

Along with the grail knight's sharp rebuke, the Knight-God Stance's previously exquisite output of power inevitably revealed a flaw.

It worked!

Faust almost laughed out loud at the sight.

Ah, Mephistopheles was right—grail knights really are just simp knights.

One word about your goddess and you get worked up. Since you're so sensitive, don't blame me for pushing your buttons like a remote control.

I’ve got you now!

So the Prince of Qingxi leapt backward to create distance, while feigning surprise: "Wait, don't tell me... you don't know the Azure Maiden's true face?"

"A 'respectable lady'... if you ask me, the Azure Maiden is a total filthy bitch."

"You!"

Dathrohan trembled with rage. Hearing such blasphemous and filthy language, he wished he could deafen his own ears. "Shut up! Such foul words and character assassination—how can you call yourself a prince?"

He's mad, he's mad, he's mad!

Seeing this, Faust mocked him even more vigorously: "I'm not just talking nonsense. You might not know about my previous encounters with the Azure Maiden. Come, let me tell you all about it."

"That whore clearly wants my body. When threats and bribes failed, she decided to use force!"

Faust drove the titan forward and threw a punch. Previously, such an attack wouldn't even have touched Dathrohan, but the grail knight, now dizzy with rage, failed to dodge and took the blow—boosted by 【Furinkazan】—head-on.

The Prince of Qingxi pressed his advantage, continuing: "For instance, thirty years ago, while she was making eyes at you, she was saying the same things to another trialist. Perhaps by a lake on a snowy night, after encouraging you, she returned to a fountain in the prosperous capital the next moment to whisper sweet nothings to another handsome prince..."

Faust didn't actually know much about the Azure Maiden, but Mephistopheles knew everything inside out!

Just picking a few of the things the Lady of the Lake had done and describing them vividly was enough to make Dathrohan explode with fury.

He swung his sword at Faust like a madman. Despite his aggressive desire to attack, his swordsmanship, now devoid of form and rhythm, was easily read and countered by Faust with ease.

Without any kind of berserker talent, pure anger didn't increase combat effectiveness; instead, it made one easier to deal with.

What chilled Dathrohan's heart even more was that he actually found Faust's ridiculous rumors... somewhat believable!

They weren't just purely fabricated slander; the details aligned perfectly with his past doubts, even giving him a sense of sudden, clear realization.

Dathrohan was indeed unwilling to think any ill of the Lady of the Lake he had admired for decades, but... but why was this hateful enemy's logic so airtight?!

Think! Think quickly of a hole in his story, then refute his twisted fallacies!

But... Dathrohan found to his sorrow that he couldn't find a single logical point to argue back!

His mind in turmoil, the power of the grail knight's Knight-God Stance diminished greatly, and he was forced back by Faust's strikes.

"Do you really intend to defeat me? If I'm truly captured by the Azure Maiden, do you know what that bitch will do?"

Faust continued to apply psychological pressure, laughing arrogantly: "She definitely plans to devour me whole! Though I’ve called her a whore for deceiving your feelings, at least physically she remains pure—I bet she hasn't even let you lick her jade feet."

"But once she catches me, I’m afraid she won't be able to wait to squeeze me dry."

"And when that time comes, to vent the bitterness of my defeat, I won't be polite! I'll have to fuck that sow hard!"

The prince had completely let himself go, sounding like a mercenary in a tavern with a mouth full of filth.

Lord Dathrohan, who had been raised in a noble atmosphere and cultivated high elegance since childhood, felt his vision go dark and his heart skip a beat just listening to it.

"You... how dare you harbor such delusions?! To damage a lady's reputation!"

"Delusions? I don't think so."

Finally, after circling around, Faust spoke the words intended to break his spirit: "You don't want to see your most beloved Lady of the Lake being ridden by me, do you? That's why you're holding back on purpose. You'd rather suffer defeat than see the goddess in your heart possessed by another... Hmph, grail knight, your so-called nobility and loyalty are nothing more than this. They cannot overcome the darkness hidden in your heart."

"!!!"

Dathrohan's pupils shook as he trembled, "I... I'm holding back on purpose?"

"What else?! You were suppressing me before, and now who has the advantage!"

Faust roared. Even though he was piloting a titan and using a 'cheating' style, fighting a grail knight was still a strain for him.

You had to realize that any damage the titan took was felt by him as the pilot. Every time he was scorched by the 【Blazing Lake-Light Fire】, there was a bone-deep, heart-searing pain.

The fact that he hadn't fainted or vomited on the spot was already the result of Mystoria's special training.

Adrenaline, do your work!

Faust was also holding his breath, determined to overwhelm the grail knight.

"I'm holding back... I'm unwilling to see the lady... Am I... jealous?"

"Damn it! How could I be such a despicable person?!"

In the moment Dathrohan fell into confusion, Faust gathered all his strength and activated the 【Furinkazan】 module once more.

"Hummm—"

With the furnace core spinning frantically, a massive amount of steam poured out from the gaps in the faint blue circuits, followed by a strike pushed to the absolute limit.

"Boom—"

The ground shook and the mountains trembled. The sword-spear broke through the shield's defense, and the Knight-God's body was shattered, crashing to the ground.
