Time gradually passed, and the dazzling blue light slowly dissipated, revealing the graceful figure within.
When she reappeared, Alisha's eyes were closed and her face was expressionless. Her appearance had completely transformed, and her temperament had undergone a sublime elevation.
As if holy, celestial music were playing all around her, Alisha's wavy curls drifted gently in the water, the coral crown resting upon her head.
The coral crown was no longer ordinary-looking, now radiating a holy majesty.
In her hand, Alisha held a trident condensed from flowing water.
The gentle flowing water wove a light veil that draped over her, fluttering softly like surging waves and shimmering with layers of luster.
Alisha slowly opened her eyes. There was neither joy nor sorrow in them, resembling the vast, tranquil ocean.
“Is this the power of a god?”
Feeling the boundless power coursing through her body, she felt as though she had transcended her physical form and become a part of heaven and earth.
The water of Bezerlati Lake felt like an extension of her own body. With a mere thought, the lake water would obey her command.
Not only that, she felt that if she were in the ocean, the entire sea would heed her call.
She had indeed become a god!
Then, her gaze shifted slightly, landing on Xia De. Looking at Xia De, who was staring at her with an excited and curious expression, she spoke blankly:
“How dare a mortal look directly upon a god!”
Her voice carried a natural resonance, imbued with immense majesty.
She swung the trident in her hand toward Xia De, her azure fish tail swaying slightly.
The water surrounding Xia De churned violently, letting out a beast-like roar, forming a ten-meter-tall wave even deep beneath the surface.
The massive wave swept toward Xia De with a force that could overturn mountains and seas, intending to bury him beneath the deluge and crush his body.
With an excited smile on his face, Xia De welcomed the waves, making no attempt to dodge.
Boom!
The giant wave engulfed Xia De. Watching this, Alisha's expression remained unchanged, still devoid of joy or sorrow. Her lips parted slightly as she uttered a grand, echoing proclamation:
“The majesty of a god is not to be desecrated by mortals. This is the death I bestow upon you!”
With that, Alisha swayed her azure fish tail, intending to turn and leave.
Now that she had become a god, it was time to return to the mermaid race and make those who hunted her pay in blood.
She would rule the entire ocean.
No!
The entire world!
However, just as she turned around to leave, a contemptuous sneer echoed from behind her.
“Is the power of a god really this weak?”
For the first time since becoming a god, Alisha's placid face showed an expression. Her eyes widened slightly as she turned to look back at the spot where the giant wave had engulfed him.
The giant wave exploded from the inside out, kicking up bursts of spray as a handsome figure emerged from within.
Xia De did not look at Alisha. Instead, he lowered his head, raising his hand to straighten his slightly messy collar, and said nonchalantly:
“I thought the God Realm would be something special, but this power is way too weak. I thought someone had just splashed a cup of water on me.”
Hearing Xia De's words, Alisha felt deeply insulted, and anger flared on her face once more.
“The majesty of a god is not to be desecrated!!!”
“Tidal Seal!!!”
Swinging her trident, layers of water rushed toward Xia De as if driven mad.
They formed a transparent sphere of water, trapping Xia De inside.
“The power within this spherical water prison will steadily increase, and the water pressure inside will climb. This water sphere is unbreakable.
“Mortal, wait in despair to be crushed to pieces by this immense water pressure!
“This is the price you pay for insulting a god.”
Unbreakable?
Increasing water pressure?
Xia De blinked with a peculiar expression, an innocent look in his eyes as he stared at the supremely confident Alisha.
A brilliant smile spread across Xia De's face.
Then, under Alisha's calm gaze, he lightly threw a punch forward.
It was an ordinary punch, devoid of any flashy special effects.
Yet, the spherical water prison popped like a balloon. Before Alisha could even react...
A heavy, powerful force struck her face, and her body shot backward like a cannonball.
Ultimately, her head ended up planted in the ground like a green onion, her azure fish tail thrashing and struggling wildly.
She tried to pull her head out of the ground.
With great effort, she finally pulled her head out of the ground. No longer able to maintain her calm, her eyes widened and her mouth hung open as she glared at Xia De with a dark, gloomy face.
A furious roar erupted from her mouth: “Mortal! You deserve to die!”
However, before she could finish, she felt a hand grab her fish tail. Then, an immense force surged through her entire body.
The entire world suddenly spun violently!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Xia De swung her by her fish tail. Alisha had no power to resist as she was repeatedly slammed into the ground, leaving deep craters one after another.
Each impact released a thunderous boom!
Finally, once Alisha had completely lost all her strength, Xia De tossed her aside like a discarded rag.
Alisha was now in a wretched state. Her hair was a tangled mess, wounds covered her body, and golden blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.
She lay limply on the ground like a pile of trash.
Staring at the “god” who now resembled a dead dog, Xia De smiled. He extended a hand in front of him and said playfully:
“Friendly tip: I have an appraisal magic that can consolidate and synthesize all of a target's stats into a single numerical value.
“I call it Combat Power, which represents your strength.
“Before putting on the crown, your Combat Power was 9,999. After putting on the crown, your Combat Power is 1,509,999, which is enough to rank in the top three among the creatures I've seen.
“Very, very strong. But me? I'm stronger!
“My Combat Power happens to be...
“Five million three hundred thousand!”
As his words fell, Xia De clenched his fingers into a tight fist. The world seemed to have been muted, plunging into absolute silence.
Pfft!
Several black spikes made of shadows rose from beneath Alisha, impaling her body and pinning her to the spot.
Golden blood slowly seeped from her wounds, gradually blending into the water of Bezerlati Lake.
“Who... who on earth are you? A mortal cannot possibly possess such strength.”
Impaled in place, Alisha raised her gaze slightly to look at Xia De, her mind dazed as she asked weakly.
Hearing her question, Xia De scratched his head. Then, a bright, slightly silly smile spread across his face, revealing his pearly white teeth as he said:
“I'm just an ordinary adventurer who wants to write an adventure journal!”
Hearing Xia De's words, Alisha laughed.
Her laughter was extremely soft, yet filled with deep resentment. Then, her expression shifted, and she screamed in a rage:
“What a joke! Why are you stopping me?!”
She cursed at Xia De over and over again:
“You traitor! You and I are both gods! We should have joined hands to show those lowly mortals our vast, divine power!
“By then, the entire world would have belonged to us!
“But why did you stop me?! You traitor, you scum, you disgrace among gods!
“You are not worthy of being a god!!!”
