【Residents of Nameless City, hello. The Cleaner Project is a mandatory program for every citizen. Purifying the world is the responsibility of us all. Please actively participate in the Cleaner Project. Your assessment results will determine your fate. Believe that Eden awaits you.】 Nan Yue comes from Nameless City — the lowest tier, known as a city of “trash people.” Like everyone around her, she has no family and no one to rely on. But no one knows that a malevolent ghost parasitizes her body, waiting for her to grow, to mature… and then to flay her skin, tear apart her bones, and devour her whole. She lives every moment in fear and despair. At twenty years old, Nan Yue enters the Cleaner Project — and from that moment on, the gates to a world of horror open before her. A small town where the cries of infants echo every night. A bizarre company obsessed with summoning spirits through forbidden games. An abandoned apartment building with neighbors who eat human brains. A sanatorium where corpses mysteriously disappear… Time and time again, escaping death by a hair’s breadth, Nan Yue gradually discovers that the demon within her has unknowingly granted her a hidden advantage. Manipulation. Killing. Devouring. In the survival game, she and the ghost restrain and balance each other. Who is she? What is this world? Why does she exist? To uncover the secrets of the world and find the meaning of her own existence, Nan Yue carries the demon on her back and carves a bloody path through the survival game.
