Chapter 183 | Survival for All: The Tower Witch with E-Rank Talent

The Tower: "This won't do."

Justice: "Go on."

The Tower: "First, how do you define a 'batch' of herbs? I need precise numbers and grades. Furthermore, I need alchemy materials, not just 'herbs.'"

Chu Yuan was taken aback. He really hadn't intended to play word games.

He wasn't an alchemist, after all, so in his subconscious, alchemy was just making medicine.

That was why he had used the term 'herbs.'

Seeing Lan Qingyou point this out, even someone like Chu Yuan couldn't help but feel a bit flustered.

Justice: "Apologies, I'm not very familiar with the specifics of alchemy. How about half a ton of E-grade materials and half a ton of D-grade materials? One ton every month."

The Tower: "Acceptable. However, as our levels increase in the future, the grade of the materials must scale accordingly. Additionally, the duration must be extended to twenty years."

Lan Qingyou thought about it and felt it was reasonable. After all, she wouldn't need that much for brewing potions, and even less for other things.

At most, the consumption of materials from monsters might be a bit higher.

Of course, the most important factor was her determination to expand and strengthen her potion industry.

With the golems helping her now—even though there were only about twenty—she could definitely figure out a humanoid design once she got back and did some research.

When that time came, she might even sell golems, let alone potions.

As for the length of time, Lan Qingyou didn't care about it at all.

If she died, these things would be useless anyway.

If she didn't die but the other party did, she would just consider herself unlucky.

But then again, as long as she could hold out until the level 10 shelter, it would be difficult for her to die even if she wanted to, right?

Oh, wait. Because she was an Origin Witch, she had the innate attributes of being ageless and immortal. She couldn't die even if she wanted to.

How troublesome.

She likely had thousands of years ahead of her to do as she pleased.

Compared to that, ten years really was nothing.

Justice: "Agreed. However, if B-grade or A-grade materials become scarce in the future, we might not be able to provide that exact amount. Furthermore, we require the right of first refusal for any potions brewed using these materials."

Justice: "Additionally, in case of emergencies or special needs, we will designate specific materials for you. Naturally, we will purchase the finished products at market price."

Justice: "As for the duration, twelve years is the absolute limit of my authority."

Twelve thousand evolutionaries and twelve years? You're certainly good at math.

Lan Qingyou smirked at Chu Yuan's response.

However, one ton of alchemy materials—if calculated purely as herbs—was a full 1,000,000 grams. She would never finish refining it all; it was simply never-ending.

The Tower: "Fine. Second, I need ores."

Justice: "For golem making?"

The Tower: "Yes."

Justice: "Then one ton of ingots per week. Tell me what you need a week in advance so I can have people prepare it. The same goes for the other materials. If you don't specify, we will provide them based on the previous week's request."

Golems varied in size and naturally varied in weight.

But if they were limited to humanoid golems, one would weigh around 50 catties. This meant she could produce forty golems a week, which was an excellent deal for Lan Qingyou.

Furthermore, she had found a long-term meal ticket for the next twelve years, or 144 months.

How could Lan Qingyou not be satisfied?

Of course, Lan Qingyou wasn't doing this for the money.

As Great Teacher Albert said, 【Alchemists are not interested in money】.

Yes, not interested. I've never even touched money.

The Tower: "Deal. One last thing: if I have a need, I require the full cooperation of the Supreme Council. You must also inform me of any rare alchemy materials you obtain, and I shall have the right of first refusal."

Justice: "What kind of needs are we talking about specifically?"

The Tower: "In this world, who can say for sure?"

Chu Yuan frowned at Lan Qingyou's nonchalant response.

The definition of 'needs' was incredibly broad.

Materials counted as needs, information counted as needs, and even personnel could count as needs.

Chu Yuan wanted to be clear about Lan Qingyou's intentions.

Justice: "If it involves combat, the limit is 1,000 people, and our side must evaluate the situation first."

No one would send their subordinates to their deaths. At least having someone evaluate the situation would prevent reckless actions. Lan Qingyou understood Chu Yuan's concern perfectly.

The Tower: "No problem. Additionally, I have one small extra condition."

Justice: "Speak."

Since he had agreed to so much already, one extra condition was nothing.

The Tower: "Shao Huilan, Liu Yongfu, Huang Meiying, Liu Wei, Liu Jie, Li Xingtong, Wang Daofei, Huang Wei, and Huang Xingming. The Supreme Council must not give evolution slots to these nine people. I intend to kill them all, so there's no need to waste the potions."

Lan Qingyou was very blunt, stating clearly that these were the people she intended to kill.

Regardless of what Chu Yuan or the Supreme Council did, she would kill them. She would do so even if it meant falling out with the Council.

To put it simply, she was making her stance clear to Chu Yuan.

Seeing this message, Chu Yuan's brow furrowed. What an intense bloodlust.

Justice: "Accepted. But what if there are people with duplicate names?"

The Tower: "It doesn't matter. You can give me the list and their photos. I'll know if it's the right person as soon as I see them. Besides, you should know Huang Wei and Huang Xingming—the chairman and the young master of the Huang Group."

Justice: "So it's those two. I understand. Does this mean the contract is established? Or do you have any other requirements?"

The Tower: "Before signing the contract, I want to ask: if you die, will this contract still be in effect? Does it have any binding power?"

Lan Qingyou added one last insurance policy for herself.

Justice: "It does. Strictly speaking, I am only the one drafting it. You are signing with the Supreme Council. Even if the Supreme Council dissolves within these twelve years, as long as there is a single member of the former Council in the next beneficiary governing body, the debt will be transferred. This is determined by the world consciousness; no one can escape it."

Dissolve?

What a joke. After working so hard to build this platform and gradually consolidating power, who would be stupid enough to dissolve the Council?

Lan Qingyou simply took Chu Yuan's words at face value.

She hadn't expected Chu Yuan's talent to be so powerful that it could even handle liability transfers. It seemed to be a very high-grade talent.

She suspected it might be S-grade.

The Tower: "Additionally, the Supreme Council needs to announce our cooperation. Specifically, that I am the supplier of this batch of Star Dragon King blood."
