Chapter 195 | Survival for All: The Tower Witch with E-Rank Talent

“Heh, looks like the Witch is up to something again.”

When Shang Chuan saw the pictures sent by others, he immediately guessed that Lan Qingyou was the one behind it.

He could even imagine that she might have obtained this magic circle from that battle a while ago.

As for why she hadn't mentioned it, he didn't know.

But then again...

Those who take favors from others are beholden to them.

Since he had benefited from her while doing nothing, he naturally wouldn't go around blabbing.

Thinking of this, Shang Chuan gave his vibrant green hair a handsome toss, revealing his pointed ears.

That’s right.

Shang Chuan had already become a Tree Elf. He had traded Dragon King Blood and Life Sap with Gu Xiaobei for this transformation at the very first opportunity.

After all, it was a long-lived race! And a long-lived race that made him even more handsome at that.

He had originally worried that staying in a place like this for too long would eventually turn him into something like a caveman, wasting his great looks.

So, the moment Lan Qingyou developed the Witch potion, he had wanted to achieve eternal youth.

But when he saw the condition that it would force him to turn into a girl, he couldn't help but shudder.

Not everyone liked that kind of change.

Sometimes, having a life that stayed the same wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Fortunately, at that moment, Gu Xiaobei had appeared like a bolt of lightning with her Breath of the Tree Elf, giving him hope.

He had exchanged for it without a second thought.

Although his hair was now green and his ears were pointed, at least his handsome looks were preserved. That was enough for him.

To be honest...

He was feeling a tiny bit of regret now.

After all, three more new races had appeared in quick succession afterward, and every one of them seemed to be a paragon of beauty. But there was nothing he could do; a major life change only happened once. Having chosen the Tree Elf, he was destined to miss out on 'changes' like the Vampire, Man-Demon, or Merfolk.

Thus, thoughts like 'Vampires have to drink blood regularly,' 'Man-Demons have duller skin,' and 'Merfolk can't walk on two legs for now' became a form of self-consolation.

In reality, while Vampires did need to drink blood regularly, they could also eat things like Spicy Blood Stew or Mana Blood Vermicelli Soup prepared by a chef.

As for the Man-Demons, because all their mana was stored in a mana pearl within their bodies, their skin became a bronze color.

However, it was definitely not 'dull' as Shang Chuan described; instead, it looked incredibly healthy.

And as for the Merfolk 'temporarily' being unable to walk on two legs, it was because they actually had a transformation skill that allowed them to switch back and forth between legs and a fish tail.

Fine, he was essentially just regretting that he had chosen too early and hadn't waited a bit.

But who could maintain a calm heart when faced with the temptation of a long-lived race like the Tree Elf that didn't drastically alter one's appearance?

Of course, several more races had been born within these two weeks, mostly created by the people in the villa.

For example, 【Chariot】 Olf had created a 'Titan race' that resembled giants.

【The Star】 Ruan Qingyi had collaborated with others to research a beautiful, radiant 'Night Elf' race.

Naturally, it wasn't just the people in the villa; the Supreme Council, which had obtained Dragon King Essence Blood, was also working on it.

【Justice】 Chu Yuan's team had researched the 'Elemental Elf,' which had high bonuses and corrections for elemental magic.

Others had researched the 'Grey-winged People' who could fly, the 'Azure Dragonkin' who possessed immense strength and explosive power, and 'Half-beasts' with excellent biological functions and monster traits, among others.

However, because the base Dragon King Essence Blood had been obtained by Chu Yuan, the majority of the remaining blood was allocated toward the Elemental Elves when it came time to distribute the quotas.

After all, in terms of versatility, Elemental Elves—which encompassed wind, fire, earth, water, ice, lightning, light, dark, and plant elements—were more likely to produce results than other races and were what humanity needed most right now.

This, in turn, caused trouble within the Supreme Council.

Through round after round of meetings, in order to prevent 'non-council races' from becoming too powerful, the initial number of 20,000 for each of the five races Chu Yuan wanted was slashed repeatedly.

Ultimately, the number Chu Yuan applied for was fixed at a total of 50,000 for all five races, meaning a quota of 10,000 for each race.

Chu Yuan had some complaints about this, but for the founders of the five great races, it was actually good news.

After all, having the workload cut exactly in half—what could be bad about that?

Of course, even so, Gu Xiaobei wasn't happy.

In fact, she wished the number were even smaller.

Her cocktails couldn't be made by machines; she had to shake them by hand whenever she had free time. Producing a hundred or so cups a day was already her limit.

In short, it was a struggle—harder than being a common working stiff.

High Priestess: “Tsk tsk, The Tower has completely turned into a witch [Image].”

The Star: “Tell me about it. Even things like magic circles have appeared, and it’s so pretty too.”

As night fell, Lan Qingyou returned to her shelter to wait for dinner after finishing the first phase of the excavation.

The moment she pulled out her card, she saw this conversation and the photo of the large magic circle reflected in the sunset.

Clearly, there had been a 'leak.'

Well, in truth, Lan Qingyou hadn't intended to hide anything.

After all, the magic circle stood there in the Abandoned Forest without any concealment; it was only natural for someone to take a photo and post it online.

Sure enough.

After Lan Qingyou tinkered with her magic desk, she found both the world channel and the regional channel discussing the magic circle.

There wasn't just one photo either; there were shots from all sorts of angles.

Lan Qingyou even saw one that was an aerial shot from directly above.

This one was the clearest and most comprehensive.

It captured every detail of the magic circle perfectly, giving Lan Qingyou herself a more intuitive sense of it.

“A magic circle... It’s feeling more and more magical.”

“Needless to say, if it came from District 666, it’s definitely that witch up to something again.”

“No, how did she do it? Are there books to learn from? Or did she figure it out herself?”

“Who knows? But one thing is for sure: that witch must be incredibly strong if she can use magic circles.”

“I wonder what this magic circle is for. It looks huge.”

“I studied math. Based on the area and the reference of the trees below, the diameter of this magic circle is about thirty to fifty meters?”

“Thirty to fifty meters? That’s a huge span!”

“I haven't observed it up close; I'm just deducing.”

“Too small. You’re lowballing it. The giant trees in our District 666 forest are generally around two to three hundred meters tall, with base diameters ranging from dozens to over a hundred meters. So it’s definitely more than that.”
