Juno's current appearance indeed looked a bit wretched, but Greg knew that the Dragon race's health bars were incredibly thick. An impact of this level probably didn't amount to much for her, so he wasn't worried at all that she wouldn't be able to carry on their conversation.
“You've been lying there long enough. It's time to get up.”
Greg walked over and extended his hand.
Juno grabbed his hand, using his leverage to stand up from the floor. She patted the dust off her clothes, then rubbed her head, which was still a little dazed.
“Your reaction speed is simply too fast, isn't it? I didn't even manage to touch you once.”
Greg replied casually, “Can't be helped. That's just what happens when your proficiency is high enough.”
“Hmm? What proficiency?” Juno tilted her head, a trace of confusion flashing in her golden eyes.
“No, it's nothing.”
Greg cleared his throat and steered the conversation back on track.
“Since I've beaten you now, it's time for you to fulfill your promise, right? Act as a middleman and introduce me to the Third Imperial Princess, Sarah.”
Hearing this, Juno patted her chest, making a series of thumping sounds.
“No problem! Leave it to me!”
She paused, then added, “But Sarah returned to the Imperial Capital today and won't be back until tomorrow morning. I'll introduce you then.”
If it was only waiting for today, there was still enough time, so Greg nodded and agreed.
“Alright, as long as you don't forget what you said today. Then I'll go ahead and—”
Greg originally intended to deactivate the barrier and leave, but as his gaze swept over the holes in Juno's clothes, his movements paused.
The edges of those holes were charred and curled, but through the openings, her fair skin and slender waist were faintly visible, gleaming with a healthy glow under the training room lights.
He remained silent for a moment, but still took off his outer coat, stepped forward two paces, and draped it over Juno's shoulders.
“Even though you're from the Dragon race, it's still better to be a bit more mindful.”
Juno looked down at the coat draped over her, then looked up at Greg, a flash of surprise in her golden eyes.
Then, her lips curled into a wide grin, revealing a sharp little canine tooth.
Instead of thanking him, she directly reached out to wrap her arms around Greg's neck, hanging her entire body on him. Bringing her face close to his, she said:
“I really like males who possess both gentleness and strength. Do you really not want to come back to Ember-Eye Tower with me? We can negotiate the benefits further, you know?”
With an expressionless face, Greg reached out to push her face away, peeling her off his body.
“I told you before, I have no such intention.”
Juno wasn't angry at being pushed away. She simply shrugged, a hint of regret in her tone.
“What a shame. This is the first time I've ever been interested in a male.”
As she spoke, her nostrils flared slightly, as if she had caught a scent.
Then, she lowered her head, grabbed the collar of the coat Greg had draped over her, and brought it to her nose to sniff it.
Greg's expression shifted slightly.
Only then did he remember that he hadn't had the chance to change his clothes since coming up from the dungeon. This coat must have absorbed quite a bit of sweat from his shirt.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, he reached out, wanting to take the coat back.
“Sorry, it probably smells pretty strong. I'll take it back. Go borrow a coat from someone else in a bit.”
But to his surprise, Juno flatly refused. “No, I really like your human scent.”
With that, right in front of Greg, she buried her face in the coat and took a deep breath. When she looked up, her face wore an ecstatic expression, and an unnatural blush crept onto her cheeks.
Then, her breathing began to grow heavier and heavier, her chest heaving more and more dramatically.
“Ha... ha... I feel like... I'm becoming weirder and weirder~”
Greg's brow twitched.
Wait, when other people get defeated, they unlock special CGs. Why are you unlocking a special kink instead?
Fearing she might actually suffer some sort of episode down here, he made a swift decision and reached out to press the barrier's switch.
The pale blue light barrier slowly descended, and the barrier was deactivated.
Greg said to the few girls in front of him, “Sorry, Student Juno seems to be injured. But since I'm a guy, it's a bit inconvenient for me to carry her to the infirmary. Could I trouble you to help?”
These girls had originally wanted to squeeze in front of Greg to make an impression, but upon hearing his words, they also noticed Juno's abnormal state—her cheeks were flushed red, her breathing was rapid, her eyes were unfocused, and her entire body radiated an unusual heat.
“Oh my goodness! Student Juno, why is your face so red?” a short-haired girl cried out in surprise.
“Student Juno, are you alright?” another girl asked with concern, reaching out to support Juno's shoulder.
“This is bad, she doesn't seem to hear us at all... She must have really been hurt somewhere!”
“We have to take her to the infirmary right now!”
With that, a group of girls hurriedly supported Juno, running toward the infirmary in a bustling crowd.
Juno was carried forward by them, her hand still tightly clutching Greg's coat, muttering something incoherent under her breath.
Watching her retreating figure, Greg began to worry whether she would still remember her promise today.
Greg was just preparing to leave the training room when, upon turning around, he found a crowd of male and female students had surrounded him at some point, trapping him in the center.
Greg's achievement of being at the top of the preliminary defense and scoring a perfect mark on the secondary defense had already made him the most dazzling celebrity of this exchange. And his performance just now, easily defeating Juno in combat, showed everyone else that he wasn't just some bookworm who only knew how to study.
Consequently, all sorts of flattery and attempts to strike up a conversation surged forward like a tide.
“Student Greg, that battle just now was absolutely brilliant! How did you manage to predict Student Juno's attacks?”
“Student Greg, I'm a student from Ironpledge Crucible Magic Academy. I'm extremely interested in the physical magic you used just now. I wonder if there's an opportunity for us to exchange some ideas?”
“Senior Greg, I'm a freshman who just enrolled this year. I've admired you since the very first hour of the very first day of this exchange. Could I get your autograph?”
Surrounded in the center, Greg felt like his head was about to explode. No matter how many times it happened, he felt as though he could never get used to this kind of scene.
Just as he was trying to find an excuse to slip away, a sudden chill came from beneath his feet. Then, a layer of solid ice rose from the ground by his side and rapidly spread, forming a waist-high ice wall around him that separated him from the others.
Startled by the sudden appearance of the ice wall, the students retreated several steps.
Before Greg could even react to what was happening, a hand reached out from the inner side of the ice wall, accurately grabbing his wrist.
Following the hand, his eyes met Vivian's cold and beautiful face.
She didn't say a word. While the others had yet to realize what was happening, she pulled Greg along, quickly stepping into the emergency exit next to the training room.
With a soft thud, the emergency exit door shut behind them, sealing off the clamor of the outside world.
