What did everyone learn in this theory class?
They learned how to create gorgeous visual effects and flashy entrance animations! They also learned various magic applications.
It could be said they benefited greatly.
Under Zhang Ye’s guidance, everyone now had a set of eye-blinding entrance effects. He believed that when the Monthly Test came, they would surely shock everyone!
At the thought of this, Zhang Ye felt a sense of anticipation.
At noon, after school, everyone agreed to go to the library after lunch.
Zhang Ye guessed that dual cultivation placed a “burden” on Nan, likely due to his constitution. Therefore, Zhang Ye planned to browse through many books to see if he could find a solution.
However, as the group headed toward the cafeteria entrance, they encountered a group of uninvited guests.
“Oh? Isn’t this that arrogant kid who doesn’t know the height of the heavens?” A sarcastic, mocking voice suddenly drifted over. Zhang Ye followed the sound and saw Albert leading a group of people toward them.
Judging by their attire, they were mostly senior students.
Looking at their badges, they were all members of the Fire Snake Guild.
So they really did come looking for trouble.
Zhang Ye was amused. He said with a beaming smile, “Oh? Isn’t this that senior I beat into the ground?”
If you’re going to be sarcastic with me, don’t blame me for being sarcastic right back.
Sure enough, Albert immediately grit his teeth in rage. He pointed at Zhang Ye and roared, “That was because I underestimated you! If you have the guts, get on the stage again and see if I don’t break your legs!”
Zhang Ye put on an arrogant face. “Oho, you want to break my legs?”
As he spoke, he stuck out a leg. “Come on, baby, hit right here.”
“You!” Albert was fuming with rage, and the group behind him was also incensed.
Zhang Ye was banking on the fact that they wouldn’t dare touch him. After all, the Academy Rules were right there. In public, even members of the Imperial Family wouldn’t dare to easily violate them, let alone this lot.
“Kid, if you have the guts, get on the stage!” a member of the Fire Snake Guild shouted, pointing at Zhang Ye.
Zhang Ye chuckled. “Even your Tier Ten mid stage vice leader was beaten into the ground by me. You, a Tier Nine, dare to provoke me?”
“It just so happens my pigs at home are currently breeding. Let me ask you... are you even a match?”
“I [Bleep] your [Bleep]!” The student’s composure instantly shattered, and he looked like he wanted nothing more than to rush up and pummel Zhang Ye.
Zhang Ye laughed. “U mad? I’m just asking, u mad?”
“It’s good that you’re mad. Seeing you all this angry makes me happy.”
“I just love seeing that frustrated look on your faces—wanting to hit me but not daring to, and even if you did dare, you wouldn’t be able to win.”
Lina and the others had initially been a bit worried when they saw the group aggressively coming to pick a fight. But after this display, forget worrying—it was a struggle just to keep from laughing out loud!
“Pfft, hahaha!”
Well, Renomon laughed out loud anyway. With that laugh, everyone else couldn’t hold it back either and burst into laughter. Even the corners of Nan’s mouth quirked up slightly.
This guy was usually so gentle and mild-mannered, but when it came to trash-talking, he was incredibly proficient.
Look at them—the veins on Albert and the others were practically about to explode.
“Just you wait. So what if we can’t touch you? Our Fire Snake Guild has plenty of freshman members. They can certainly touch you!” Albert said coldly.
Zhang Ye chuckled and spread his arms slightly.
“Do you see my buddies behind me? Should I introduce them to you?”
“This one is the Freshman No. 1, Nan.”
“This one is the Freshman No. 2, Lina.”
“This one is the Freshman No. 3, my brother-in... cough, Renomon.”
“And yours truly, Freshman No. 4.”
“Then there’s Samanra, Freshman No. 5; Sabiba, Freshman No. 27; Sacra, Freshman No. 29; and Copico, Freshman No. 30.”
“With a bunch of big shots right here, you’re looking for freshmen to move against me?”
“Who are you going to find? You can’t find jack!”
Poison-tongued Ye had come online; bystanders, disperse!
The only one who could currently out-argue Zhang Ye was Tei Tei!
“So... so what if your rankings are high? Our Fire Snake Guild has numbers!” Albert roared.
“Sorry, but my people here—not to mention anything else—are high in looks and even higher in combat power. One of us can take on fifty of yours. If you have the guts, find a few hundred freshmen to gang up on me,” Zhang Ye said with an air of indifference.
“Even if you dared to, would the academy just sit by and watch?”
“So, you can’t actually do anything to us. You brought this crowd just to put on an imposing front. However...” Zhang Ye wagged his index finger back and forth with an arrogant expression. “Your Big Brother Ye doesn’t buy that crap.”
“If you know what’s good for you, get out of the way before you die of anger.” Zhang Ye waved his hand. “Let’s go, time to chow down!”
The group completely ignored the dozen or so seniors and Albert as they walked toward the cafeteria.
Albert was so angry he was losing his bearings.
“You’re looking for death!” Finally, rage overcame reason. He let out a furious roar and reached out, his mana surging wildly.
Zhang Ye’s gaze turned cold.
This kid actually dared to make a move? Then don’t blame him for—
However, in the next instant, a flash of lightning suddenly appeared in front of Albert. The speed was so fast that no one could react.
When they came to their senses, Nan was already standing before Albert, his purple long blade resting against the senior’s neck.
Cold sweat instantly broke out on Albert’s forehead. He looked at Nan in terror, his mana dissipating into nothingness.
“Try touching him.” Nan spoke flatly, but the killing intent that was almost tangible made everyone feel a chill run down their spines.
Albert was certain that if he actually dared to move, Nan would truly cut his head off.
With such terrifying killing intent, how many creatures had this boy killed?
And how many people?!
Albert swallowed hard as he looked at the rolling thunder on Nan’s body.
The peerless genius of the Thunderclap family... was too terrifying!
Seeing this, Zhang Ye’s gaze toward Nan softened slightly.
“Alright, A-Nan, don’t lower yourself to their level. It’s not worth it.” Zhang Ye chuckled. “Let’s go. To the fifth floor! It’s my treat today!”
Hearing this, Nan sheathed his blade and followed behind Zhang Ye. Zhang Ye leaned against his shoulder, looking very happy.
Lina and the others also acted as if nothing had happened, continuing their own conversations.
“Ye, can we really go to the fifth floor?”
“No problem. I have the permission level. Eat whatever you want, don’t worry about saving points for me!”
Their voices drifted further away until Zhang Ye’s group disappeared completely. Only then did the color slowly return to Albert’s face.
He had felt it the entire time—that killing intent hadn’t dispersed. It had stayed locked onto him, making him afraid to make even the slightest move until it finally vanished just now.
His face turned extremely ugly, pale and ashen.
“Vice Leader... are we still eating?” a member asked, swallowing nervously.
“Let’s go!” Albert snorted coldly with a livid face and turned to leave.
Eat... eat my ass! He was already full of rage!
On the other side, while heading upstairs, Zhang Ye looked at Nan beside him and sent a quiet transmission: “Thanks.”
Nan glanced at him and continued walking.
Ten seconds later, a reply finally came.
“No need.”
Zhang Ye smiled slightly.
It was clear that Nan had begun to accept him.
Nice. The iceberg is gradually melting. I need to keep up the good work!
But then again, why am I more proactive about conquering a boy than Big Nana?
