Transmigrated into an absurdly difficult otherworld, Lovene became the Saintess of the Church of Morning Light. She thought the rest of her life would be worry-free — until she watched the previous Saintess turn into a pool of blood on the altar. A Saintess isn't a god's spokesperson. She's a flesh-and-blood key used to awaken an ancient god. The Church branded a seal into her soul. She can't escape, and she can't fight her way out either. Luckily, she has a special ability: whenever someone feels heartbroken over her, she grows stronger. So she chose Mia — a girl everyone spat on and called a "calamity star," a fool who'd repay even a sliver of warmth with her own life. Lovene's plan was perfect: Take in Mia, make her the one and only knight sworn to her side, shower her with meticulous love and care, let her feel how beautiful the world could be, then pretend to fall deeply in love with her too, making her fall for Lovene in return... And then, die tragically in front of her. By then, Mia's grief would become the purest fuel, enough to shatter the seal and break Lovene free from her cage! ... The plan went off without a hitch. When she died in front of Mia, the girl's grief nearly launched her straight to the top. Except... What do you mean Mia died for love right alongside her?! What do you mean time rewinds the moment Mia dies?! What do you mean she's alive again?! ... Late one night, a panicked Lovene found herself pinned to the bed by Mia, her wrist gripped hard enough to hurt. "Your Highness, do you know something? You've died countless times already — and every single time, I brought you back." Mia lowered her head, her breath brushing against Lovene's ear. "This time, I won't let anything happen to you again."
