Chapter 104 | What If I Transformed Into the Zerg Queen?

Xia Jin's gaze was fixed on the elven defense line.

Since she had tricked—no, captured—the two heirs of the magic monsters, the underground alliance had immediately faced the Magic Monster King's wrath.

The entire defense line was teetering under the onslaught of a terrifying army.

The Magic Monster King, who had originally been cautious of losses and preferred a steady approach, had begun mobilizing massive military forces from his rear.

Consequently, a mere two or three thousand Zerg, plus the bearmen, elves, and treants, were far from enough.

One must realize that the magic monsters had many enemies in the underground world, with foreign resistance armies scattered everywhere.

Now that they had redeployed the troops meant for suppressing those rebels—ignoring the security of their own rear just to save the two princesses—the elven fortress was in critical danger.

The poor Elven Queen couldn't even sleep; she rushed over in the middle of the night to beg Xia Jin for help.

As the Zerg Queen, seeing the blonde girl pleading before her, Xia Jin could only sigh softly and wave her hand. “I'll give you twenty thousand insects.”

“Thank you, Your Majesty,” the Elven Queen thanked her quickly. But just as she bowed, she froze, then looked up in astonishment. “How... how many?”

“Twenty thousand,” Xia Jin said, winking at her.

The Elven Queen was completely stunned.

She almost thought she was hallucinating.

But looking at Xia Jin's expression, she didn't seem to be joking at all.

“Alright, I've already sent two elves to lead the insects over. Oh, and keep that Yan Yu by my side.”

“Yes.”

The Elven Queen was incredibly excited and grateful.

Facing this petite and cute Queen, her heart was filled with goodwill.

Who could have imagined that such a cute and dorky girl would be born among the terrifying and hideous Zerg?

As an elf and a member of an all-female race, the Elven Queen found the Queen more and more adorable the longer she looked.

Perhaps merging into the Zerg wouldn't be a bad choice after all.

Such a thought actually crossed her mind.

Of course, that flicker of a thought was quickly suppressed.

No matter how much she appreciated beauty, she couldn't bring herself to completely betray her race.

By the time the twenty thousand-strong swarm followed the Elven Queen underground, a large host of magic monsters had already stormed the crumbling elven fortress.

The lower sections of the defense line had basically been destroyed long ago. Terrifying magic monster warriors leaped onto the steps, and the corpses of over a dozen treants could be seen along the way.

Of course, no treant noticed that some zerglings had stealthily picked up their severed limbs to take back.

At this point in the battle, the actual number of the most hardworking swarm units left was less than three hundred.

As the toughest nut to crack, the magic monsters had also exerted themselves, sending out their most fearless suicide squads to surround and annihilate them.

Now, very few zerglings remained; what was left were mostly hydralisks firing from a distance.

Although the Zerg Hive had been upgraded to Tier 6, the insects on this battlefield clearly had no chance to go back and upgrade.

Xia Jin had basically given up on those units.

But the twenty thousand insects brought this time were essentially the first batch to be upgraded.

Don't be fooled by the fact that the zerglings' rank hadn't changed; their combat power had increased significantly.

At this moment, as the Elven Queen arrived on the scene, a massive, dark cloud of zerglings immediately charged downward.

The magic monsters attacking the steps looked up and were shocked by what they saw.

There were too many. They were all over the defense line. A black torrent instantly washed over the fortress made of green vines. They could leap over ten meters in a single bound, and in just a few dozen seconds, they slammed violently into the magic monsters.

Splurt— Squish—

Flesh and blood splattered. Sharp claws quickly sliced through their meat, and some zerglings could tear off an entire arm in a single bite.

Their violent bodies were like bulldozers, crashing and crushing everything in their path.

The poor magic monsters, caught in a disadvantageous position and facing zerglings several times their number, were completely stunned.

Following that, spine after spine fell from the sky like artillery shells.

Bang! Bang bang bang!

Magic monsters were constantly pierced by spikes flying in from nowhere.

Some spines even exploded, blowing their bodies into fragments.

There was no doubt that the combat power of the Tier 6 hydralisks was no longer what it used to be. Every one of their attacks was like an armor-piercing shell, easily penetrating the bodies of their enemies.

A few Tier 5 magic monsters could withstand the first hit, but most were wounded, making it difficult for them to resist the second wave of spike attacks.

As for Tier 6, those who could withstand five or six hits were considered strong.

But even if most managed to block the hits with their own strength, their lives would soon fade away due to the toxicity within.

It could be said that the current hydralisks were like reapers to the magic monsters, easily harvesting them in large numbers.

Standing at the top of the defense line, the Elven Queen covered her mouth as she watched the scene below.

Her shock was evident.

“Is this the true power of the Zerg?”

It was too fast!

Their growth was simply too fast!

How long had it been? Counting the days, it had only been a few.

Back then, the main force of the insects was only Tier 3, and they could barely field any Tier 4 units.

But now, they could easily deploy large groups of Tier 6 monsters.

Tier 4 zerglings were so numerous they could be expended at will.

For a race like this, returning to the stars would only be a matter of time, wouldn't it?

While the Elven Queen was thinking this, the swarm had completely charged down from the fortress and began a massive assault on the enemies across the land.
