Chapter 152 | What If I Transformed Into the Zerg Queen?

This was a showdown between two great races.

The Zerg had essentially brought out their full strength.

Unlike in the past, the zerglings had generally increased by one tier, immediately patching the greatest weakness of the Zerg main force—their lack of high-tier units.

Now, with the infestors and lurkers working together, these two Tier 7 units launched blade attacks that could turn a stretch of several kilometers into a living hell.

Even Tier 6 experts could not withstand blades of such high intensity and speed.

The instantaneous impact was such that even blocking with all one's vitality might not suffice.

Moreover, the attacks came from below. With a bit of bad luck, a person could be sliced in half; the visual impact alone was incredibly exaggerated.

As for the infestors, although their production scale was small, they served as support units. Occasionally rushing forward to infect a few people—forcing them to attack their own comrades—or using their immobilization abilities, they brought immense fear and deterrence to the enemy.

While the mage units were strong, compared to the insects, they were quite underwhelming overall.

The confidence of the three legion commanders was severely shaken.

Just then, they saw two familiar faces.

The 8th Legion commander, Joss, and the 12th Legion commander, Mir.

Along with over two thousand human soldiers.

“Mir, Madman Joss, why are you two on the enemy's side?” the 4th Legion commander frowned, his tone filled with disbelief.

“Feng Wei, Ke Gu, Buluya, I truly cherished the times we fought together, but unfortunately, I can no longer stand by your side,” Commander Joss said, narrowing his eyes without a trace of sorrow.

“You've betrayed the Kingdom?” the 6th Legion commander asked fiercely.

“Betrayal? No, we have never betrayed anyone. We simply moved from the King's side to the side of the Princess. This isn't a war of invasion; it's a civil war, a battle for the Princess to return to her rightful place. We have merely abandoned a foolish ruler to serve a wise one.”

“What?”

In an instant, everything seemed to become clear.

Silver-white hair, a young girl, so beautiful even from a distance.

All the rumors were true; the three legion commanders simply hadn't dared to believe them.

“Princess Xia Jin was able to quickly gain the support of the northern lords while starting with nothing, and she led the Zerg who joined her to crush the gnolls. Can you guess why? Clearly, following her is the only way to have a better future.”

“You... do you intend to make the Princess the King of this country?”

“King? Hahaha, she already is one, but how could the current Her Highness possibly care about such a small position? She is the Zerg Queen, possessing a host of powerful creatures willing to sacrifice their lives for her, and we... we have also become part of the Zerg.”

After Mir finished speaking, his body surged forward, breaking the sound barrier in an instant. His long blade carried an unstoppable momentum as it slashed down fiercely at the man in front of him.

Clang—

Their weapons collided.

Feng Wei, the 4th Legion commander, who had expected to hold the advantage, found that his strength was no match for his opponent's.

His arm bruised instantly from the impact.

“Do you feel it? This is the power the Zerg bestowed upon me. This is a higher form of life, created by the great Her Majesty the Queen. She is far more than just the Princess you see.”

“Damn it...” Feng Wei retreated two steps.

“Stop talking nonsense, Mir! You've simply abandoned your principles for a pretty face, forsaking the King you were loyal to for years all for a woman.” Ke Gu, the 5th Legion commander, swung his blade, but it was blocked by Joss.

As expected, though they were both Tier 8, Madman Joss's strength far exceeded theirs, knocking him back seven or eight steps.

“Hahaha!” Mir laughed arrogantly. “I was never loyal to that old man. At this very moment, possessing the Zerg bloodline, I swear my fealty to the leader of this powerful race—Princess Xia Jin.”

...

“Oh no, I've become the villain.”

Xia Jin listened intently to Mir's words and suddenly recalled scenes of arrogant villains from TV shows. She felt the resemblance was uncanny.

Was a protagonist going to appear next to kill the evil princess?

Although she knew it was impossible, Xia Jin still found it quite amusing.

“It's hard to say who the villain really is. After all, as long as I win, the history of this world will be whatever I say it is.”

Xia Jin let out a breath and continued to observe for a while.

A battle broke out between the two sides.

After all, her side had a famous madman, and the Zerg-ification modification had indeed strengthened their bodies to some extent. Thus, even in a two-against-three situation, they still held an absolute advantage.

Finally, after confirming the enemies had no intention of surrendering, Xia Jin directly ordered a large swarm of hydralisks to launch a long-range attack. Through this ambush, she ultimately finished them off.
