Perhaps it was good luck.
Or maybe it was because a rogue, after all, enjoyed the favor of the God of Rogues.
With a single strike, Li Xiuman hit the bullseye.
The sharp, thick, hook-covered Ground Spike accurately struck the troll's center target.
Even Li Xiuman hadn't expected such uncanny precision.
“Roar!!”
“Sss...”
Although it wasn't intentional, since it actually triggered a critical hit, Li Xiuman wouldn't show even a shred of mercy.
Without hesitation, he continued to manipulate the Ground Spike to thrust violently upward.
The troll no longer had any desire to sit on the ground, violently struggling to stand up.
Seizing the opportunity the moment the troll rose, Li Xiuman threw his wand with all his might.
With a whistling sound, the wand sliced through the air and struck the troll's right eye with precision.
Instantly, blood mixed with the fluid of the shattered eyeball gushed from the troll's eye socket.
Being pierced from both ends, the troll's screams grew even more agonized and shrill.
Mindlessly swinging the iron club in its hand, it abandoned defense entirely, frantically swinging at any target in its sight.
In an instant, two goblins were sent flying, crashing against the distant stone wall; after twitching a few times, they went silent.
“Tier 2 Magic: Undead Wail!”
As Li Xiuman retreated, he reached out his hand, deploying a pitch-black magic circle.
From within the pitch-black magic circle, a hideously twisted, translucent face seemed to stretch out from an alternate dimension, its jaws agape to an unbelievable size as it let out a sharp, piercing shriek.
This was a spiritual attack from Necromancy.
The invisible sound waves swept toward the troll's head, causing its body—already mentally weakened from various agonies—to stumble.
Seizing the chance, Li Xiuman dashed forward and lunged with his Rib Sword.
The Goblin King also lunged out from behind the troll, his bone club creating a sonic boom as he swung it toward the back of the troll's left knee.
Number Zero followed closely behind, moving around the troll's rear, using the power of its legs to brace its shield and ram into the back of the troll's other knee.
With two muffled thuds, the troll's knees slammed onto the ground forward with a resounding boom.
Meanwhile, Li Xiuman's thrusting Rib Sword targeted the troll's throat.
“Roar!!”
Enraged, the troll thrust its thick iron club horizontally, pushing it toward Li Xiuman.
Clang!
The Rib Sword clashed with the iron club, sending bright sparks flying.
“Tier 1 Magic: Whirlwind!”
Flapping his Bone Wings, his wind magic propelled his body around the iron club, drawing him close to the troll's face.
They were mere inches apart!
Li Xiuman suddenly grabbed the wand embedded in the troll's eye socket, his body hanging off the troll's head.
At this point, the enraged troll couldn't care less about the gaping hole in its chest; it pulled away its left hand, which had been covering the wound, and reached up to grab Li Xiuman on its face.
Caught in its grip, Li Xiuman didn't panic in the slightest. Tightening his grip on the wand, he activated the Fire Lizardman King Armguard.
In an instant, Li Xiuman's entire body seemed to be set ablaze, spraying flames outward.
The fire continuously scorched the giant hand holding him, yet the troll actually endured the searing pain, stuffing Li Xiuman toward its mouth to crush this abominable skeleton to pieces.
Taking advantage of the opening, all the remaining goblins and Golems pounced onto the troll's exposed chest, but even this failed to make the troll release Li Xiuman.
Though not highly intelligent, the troll had figured it out.
This annoying skeleton in its grip was the leader of these wretched pests.
As long as it got rid of this guy, the rest would pose no threat.
Facing the foul, gaping maw coming closer, Li Xiuman struggled until his bones creaked and groaned.
Its strength was incredibly ridiculous.
Looks like I need a change of tactics.
“Bone Manipulation!”
The bones across Li Xiuman's entire body squirmed like modeling clay.
A barrage of sharp bone spikes pierced through the gaps of his armor, tearing through his clothes.
In just an instant, countless thick bone spikes bristled all over him.
And the troll, who was squeezing Li Xiuman with all its might, instantly impaled its own palm.
Sensing the grip on him slacken, Li Xiuman hurriedly tightened his hold on the Rib Sword and wand. Forcing a gap open in its palm, he severed two of its fingers and jumped out.
Seeing this, the troll crane-necked forward, snapping its jaws at Li Xiuman who was within arm's reach.
With no way to dodge, Li Xiuman held his wand horizontally, propping it against his shoulder to wedge it between the troll's teeth.
Creak, creak!
As its teeth grated against the wand, Li Xiuman's spine bent under the pressure of the narrowing gap.
While bracing the wand with both hands, Li Xiuman hurriedly coiled his tail around the Rib Sword, stabbing it into the troll's tongue and mouth.
The flames surrounding his body also continuously scorched the nearby flesh, releasing a foul burning stench.
Yet, despite its wails of agony, the troll refused to spit out the Li Xiuman in its mouth.
Instead, it swung its iron club with one hand to fend off the assaults from the other goblins and Golems.
With its other hand, it clenched a fist and punched its own chin.
Realizing its bite alone couldn't crush Li Xiuman immediately, it actually resorted to its fist, hoping the impact would crush Li Xiuman to dust.
With a dull thud, the troll's fist slammed heavily into its own chin.
Li Xiuman's spine let out an ominous creak as the gap between its upper and lower teeth tightened further.
Fortunately, the wand's durability was absurd; under such immense pressure, it showed absolutely no sign of bending or breaking.
“This is bad.”
Holding the wand with one hand, his tail was still coiling the Rib Sword, slicing through the flesh around him.
He freed his other hand, aiming it deep into the troll's throat.
A red, disc-like magic circle sketched itself before his palm, solidifying.
“Tier 2 Magic: Molten Fireball!”
Fire mana rapidly gathered as a Molten Fireball oozing lava formed before his hand.
“I suggest you drink some lava!”
Boom!
The Molten Fireball blasted deep down the troll's throat.
A massive amount of scalding lava flowed down its throat.
Accompanying a sizzling hiss, a wave of scorched gas mixed with steam rushed into his face.
No longer able to bear it, the troll coughed violently, spitting out Li Xiuman along with a small portion of the lava.
It then frantically tried to reach down its throat with its left hand, attempting to throw up the scalding liquid Li Xiuman had poured inside.
By then, however, the lava had already slid into the troll's stomach, madly burning everything along its path.
A layer of pitch-black stone had congealed in the troll's mouth, throat, and stomach.
“Finish it off while it's down!”
Li Xiuman truly admired his own brilliance.
To think of such a creative attack method.
In hindsight, his earlier capture was practically a stroke of genius.
My apologies, Molten Fireball. I used to look down on you for being slow and inaccurate, but thank goodness I learned you back then.
It seems that as long as you're applied to the right purpose, you're still completely peerless.
Li Xiuman thought to himself as he charged forward, holding his Rib Sword.
The troll at this moment was truly in a miserable state.
With a massive hole blown in its chest, one eye blinded, countless lacerations covering its body, a hook-covered stone spike lodged in its rear, and scalding lava filling its stomach and throat...
That it could still move at this point was a testament to its terrifyingly robust life force.
