“The Dungeon King!”
Every member of the adventurer party grew excited.
“It looks like this dungeon only has 27 floors.”
“We really hit the jackpot. The rewards for a dungeon's first clear are always the most generous.”
All the members of the adventurer party were thrilled.
However, as the captain of this adventurer party, Prus remained cautious.
“Stay alert, everyone. Don't let your guard down.”
Led by Prus, the adventurer party approached the stone door looming in the mist.
The moment they pushed the stone door open, a chilly wind blew right in their faces, carrying a dense death energy that made Prus and his companions squint.
With a deafening boom, the stone door behind them slammed shut, cutting off the adventurer party's retreat.
Straining their eyes to peer forward, they saw a massive bone throne looming in the darkness.
And sitting upon that throne was a skeleton clad in high-quality equipment.
The skeleton had a pair of horns on its head, and a bony tail draped over the armrest of the throne.
The very spot where the skeleton sat was the source of the chilly aura filling the entire Floor Boss room.
“A skeletal monster... a Dragon-Blooded Skeleton?”
“He's holding a wand. Is his class... a Mage?”
As Prus identified the skeleton's race, he felt a wave of relief.
Just as he had expected, the entire White Bone Dungeon was filled with skeletal monsters.
Thus, the Dungeon King should also be a skeletal monster.
Because of this, they had brought several Light Priests and equipped everyone with blunt weapons that countered skeletal monsters.
“Attack!”
Following Prus's order, everyone systematically launched their attacks at Li Xiuman.
Li Xiuman raised his wand, and a vast Quagmire expanded outwards with him at the center.
But soon, the enemy Elementalist solidified the mud on the ground with earth blocks.
It seems like shortcuts won't work, Li Xiuman thought.
He dodged several beams of holy light. Although being hit by holy light now would only disperse the Power of Death in his body, Li Xiuman still pretended to be terrified of it.
Seeing this, Prus rejoiced inwardly.
Bringing a large number of Light Priests was indeed the correct choice.
“Get in close with blunt weapons!”
“Priests, keep up the pressure with holy light!”
Prus hurriedly shouted.
Faced with an increasing onslaught of holy light, Li Xiuman continued to dodge with apparent difficulty.
As he waved his wand, several magic circles rose from the ground.
Golem Creation!
A large number of rock golems were quickly conjured, charging at the adventurer party before him.
“To think he knows Golem Creation... As expected, the Dungeon King is not to be underestimated!”
“But this must be your final trump card!”
“Dungeon King!”
Having forced the golems out, Prus felt that victory was already in his grasp.
The first clear of a dungeon—what incredible luck.
The large number of golems clashed with the rushing Swordsmen and Heavy Warriors.
Li Xiuman took the opportunity to pull back, dodging a super-powerful beam of holy light.
Then, exerting full power through his entire body, he lunged straight toward Prus's position.
“What?!”
Prus stared at the rushing Li Xiuman, his face filled with disbelief.
No matter how he looked at it, rushing forward at this moment was not a wise choice.
Could there be some deep strategy behind this?
No, no, don't overthink it, Prus.
This was a golden opportunity. If he seized the moment and killed this skeleton, all of its equipment would be his!
“Priests, use holy light!”
Prus bellowed at the top of his lungs, then quickly raised his wand and aimed it at the oncoming Li Xiuman.
“O mysterious, sacred spirit of fire...”
“Bestow your punishment upon the wicked who offend your sublimity!”
“Tier 2 Magic, Fire Arrow Rain!”
As he chanted, a massive red magic circle expanded at the tip of Prus's wand.
Fire elements rapidly gathered toward him, condensing into a sky full of fiery arrows aimed directly at the path Li Xiuman was charging along.
At the same time, all the Light Priests summoned holy light, forming massive pillars of sacred radiance that swept toward the charging skeleton.
To Prus's utter surprise, the skeleton did not dodge at all. He rushed straight into the beams of holy light and his own Fire Arrow Rain.
It seemed to have completely shed its previously displayed fear of holy light.
A moment later, the Fire Arrow Rain rained down, and the holy light struck the rushing skeletal monster dead-on.
Whipping up a massive cloud of dust and smoke.
Did it hit that easily?
Was a Dungeon Lord really defeated just like that?
He looked at his party members, who already seemed to believe victory was theirs, visibly letting their guard down.
No, it can't be this simple!
Prus wanted to shout a warning, but it was already too late.
A figure dashed out from the smoke. It was indeed the skeleton—completely unscathed, let alone injured.
“Stop!”
Prus raised his wand, instantly conjuring several Fireballs and hurling them forward.
Meanwhile, Li Xiuman drew his Rib Sword and sliced through the incoming Fireballs with a display of swordsmanship that left Prus astounded.
How is this possible?!
Isn't his class a Mage?!
Not caring about looking pathetic, Prus stowed his wand and scrambled backward, desperate to escape.
He was a Mage; how could he possibly engage in close-quarters combat?
Pulling back and unleashing a bombardment of magic was the only proper way to play a Mage.
Just then, the two closest Swordsmen finally reacted, swinging their swords toward Li Xiuman's back.
But Li Xiuman was fully prepared. Coiling his tail, he unsheathed Crystal Orchid and swung it in a horizontal sweep.
Clang!
With a crisp metallic ring, Crystal Orchid flawlessly parried the two Swordsmen's sneak attacks.
“Freeze!”
The power of frost surged along the blade and transferred into the weapons of the two Swordsmen, instantly forming a layer of ice that encased their swords and arms.
“Number Zero!”
Unable to free his hands, Li Xiuman quickly summoned Number Zero.
Clad in silver armor with hair as white as snow, Number Zero materialized in the open space, swinging its greatsword downward.
The two Swordsmen never expected an opponent to drop out of thin air, and they failed to react in time.
One had his frozen arm severed, while the other was decapitated outright.

Number Zero landed steadily beside Li Xiuman, carrying a great shield in its left hand and a greatsword in its right.
Meanwhile, Li Xiuman raised his tail, pointing Crystal Orchid at Prus, who was desperately trying to flee.
“Freezing Slash!”
As Crystal Orchid swept down, a pale blue wave of freezing blade qi tore through the air, hurtling toward Prus's back.
“Dammit!”
Prus hurriedly swung his wand and conjured a Fireball, barely managing to block one of the freezing waves.
But several more immediately followed.
Gritting his teeth, Prus struggled to defend himself. In his momentary distraction, the blade qi froze his legs, trapping him in place.
“Help me!”
Prus could only shout desperately as he watched his approaching Heavy Warrior teammates.
But his plea came a moment too late.
“Tier 1 Magic, Spiral Spike.”
The Spiral Spike struck the immobilized Prus dead-on, piercing straight through his heart.
