“Water Burst!”
The torrent of water wrapping around Li Xiuman detonated violently, blasting a massive crater into the rocky ground.
The sheer destructive power of a Water Burst cast simultaneously by seven water-affinity Elementalists was plain to see.
But unfortunately for them.
The earring Ilu had gifted him made him completely immune to Tier 3 Water Magic and below.
Completely unaffected, Li Xiuman hurled his wand, impaling the chest of the nearest Elementalist.
“He's immune to Low-Tier Water Magic! He was faking it earlier!”
“Stop using Water Magic!”
yelled one of the Elementalists controlled by the succubus.
Quickly, all the Elementalists switched spells.
The Archers loosed their arrows once more, aiming straight for Li Xiuman's skull, knowing full well that arrows could barely damage a skeleton's body anyway.
Meanwhile, the Heavy Warriors charged ahead with absolute disregard for their lives, followed closely by the Swordsmen.
“This is getting a bit troublesome.”
Li Xiuman quickly backed away to gain some distance.
At the same time, he flapped his wings and soared into the sky.
Maintaining aerial superiority allowed him to suppress ground forces with absolute fire supremacy.
“Shoot him down!”
A barrage of spells was launched toward Li Xiuman's position.
Going toe-to-toe in direct combat was never Li Xiuman's style. He swiftly dodged the magical onslaught and retreated to a safer distance.
Engaging a party like this head-on was the absolute worst possible option.
Constant harassment and hit-and-run guerrilla tactics were the superior choice.
It was a pity that these adventurers were controlled by succubi. Bereft of fear and impervious to death, it was virtually impossible to break them mentally.
“Bastards!”
Watching Li Xiuman fly away and disappear, the succubus-controlled adventurers couldn't help but swear.
After all, this skeleton was clearly immune to Low-Tier Water Magic, yet he had put on a grand performance as if he were highly vulnerable to water.
Getting caught by the Water Prison within seconds and even putting on a show of agonizing pain.
These succubi lived alongside Low-Tier Skeletons daily, viewing them as nothing more than pigs and holding them in utter contempt.
Their view of Li Xiuman, a rogue, unique skeleton, was no different.
Just how smart could a runaway Low-Tier Skeleton be?
Even if he had managed to turn the tables and slaughter so many succubi in the past, it was solely because those succubi had let their guard down.
They had learned their lesson and would not be so careless again.
Then they got careless anyway.
This made them thoroughly displeased. To think that they, of all creatures, were played like fools by a mere Low-Tier Skeleton.
Rage flooded their minds, making them desperately long to tear Li Xiuman, the culprit, into shreds.
And Lucia, right under the noses of her succubus underlings, had been killed by Li Xiuman due to her own carelessness.
By now, her actual body was probably utterly losing its mind.
Looking at the group of enraged succubi, then down at the severed head clutching in his hand, Li Xiuman felt he had found an opportunity.
He tied the head to his wand and hoisted it onto his shoulder.
“What a humorous thought. Truly worthy of a Low-Tier Skeleton.”
“Your foolishness astounds me.”
He waved the wand, letting the head—still frozen in that seductive smile—sway back and forth like a flag.
At the same time, he mimicked Lucia's classic lines.
“Oh, truly worthy of a Low-Tier Skeleton.”
“Your foolishness astounds me~ astounds me~”
“How dare you insult Lady Lucia like that! I'll kill you, Low-Tier Skeleton!”
Thoroughly provoked by the skeleton, the enraged succubi gnashed their teeth, unleashing a bombardment of attacks toward where Li Xiuman had appeared.
Li Xiuman immediately hid.
A brief moment later, he popped out from another direction, waving his Lucia flag once more.
“How dare you insult Lady Lucia like that! I'll kill you, Low-Tier Skeleton~”
This time, he repeated the enraged succubus's own words.
The succubus who had spoken felt her eyes turn crimson with rage.
Thinking that this was merely a controlled body anyway, she wanted to charge at Li Xiuman with reckless abandon, grinding the detestable skeleton into dust.
But she was held back by another succubus, who was noticeably calmer.
“Don't fall for that despicable Low-Tier Skeleton's tricks.”
“...Understood.”
Li Xiuman continued his provocations, but this group of succubi was remarkably disciplined, managing to forcefully suppress their rage.
No matter how angry they got, they did nothing more than hurl magic at him.
Seeing this, Li Xiuman wasn't in a hurry either.
He doggedly trailed behind the succubus party, continuously harassing and wearing them down in a sly, annoying manner.
Slow and steady wins the race; he would wear them down bit by bit.
“Despicable! Absolutely despicable!”
“Skeleton, do you have no sense of shame at all?!”
After a full day of non-stop harassment and attacks, the succubi were completely exhausted.
With his high Spirit stat, Li Xiuman could go without sleep for a very long time.
But the succubi had no such luxury. They were piloting other people's bodies, which was an incredibly draining task in itself.
Furthermore, they had to be constantly on guard against Li Xiuman's sneak attacks, unable to relax for even a single second.
For Li Xiuman, it was effortless; he only had to stalk them from behind and launch a sudden strike whenever the opportunity arose.
“Did I hear wrong, or did you misspeak?”
“I'm just a skeleton.”
“Tier 2 Composite Magic, Storm Rock Spear.”
Enveloped by a howling tempest, a massive rock spear tore through the air, screaming toward the adventurer party ahead.
The succubi scrambled out of the way in sheer terror.
When they had been hiding earlier, they had witnessed exactly how powerful this spell of Li Xiuman's was.
“The casting time is still too long, and the precision is lacking. The magic circle...”
Li Xiuman took out 《The Skeleton's Magic Book》 and meticulously jotted down his insights.
This group of succubi was serving as the perfect moving targets for his practice.
“This Low-Tier Skeleton is absolutely shameless.”
“What do we do if this continues? Do we have no choice but to abandon these bodies?”
The succubi began to discuss among themselves.
They knew that if that despicable Low-Tier Skeleton kept wearing them down like this, they would never survive until they could exit the dungeon.
“When all is said and done, he's still just a Low-Tier Skeleton.”
“We just need to spread word of his true identity in White Bear City. Once he leaves the dungeon, the humans will slaughter him.”
One of the succubus-controlled adventurers said, her eyes flashing with a sharp light.
The eyes of the other succubi lit up as well.
They were all succubi, yet how did this one possess such brilliant intellect?
This was what one called “killing with a borrowed knife.”
They wouldn't even need to lift a finger to put this detestable, despicable Low-Tier Skeleton to death.
They would crush this vile skeleton using pure intellect.
Surely, this despicable Low-Tier Skeleton couldn't hide inside the dungeon forever.
Ultimately, he was just a foolish Low-Tier Skeleton. He thought he was playing on the second level, but they, the succubi, were operating on the third!
“How should we spread the news to expose this despicable skeleton's true form?”
“What are you saying? Isn't it obvious? Just tell those lowly humans that he is a skeleton, and that'll do it.”
“First, we'll use these lowly human bodies to wear down that Low-Tier Skeleton here.”
“By then, once he steps out of the dungeon, there will be no place for his bones to rest!”
“...Wait.”
Slowly, all the succubi began to realize something.
“How should we spread the word... and say... that the Skeleton is actually a skeleton...”
“Are you stupid? What do you mean ‘skeleton skeleton’? Obviously, we reveal the Skeleton's identity as a skeleton to those... wait?”
“Why have you all turned into idiots? Reveal the Skeleton's identity as a skeleton...”
“He anticipated this!”
“My lovely little succubi, try my Super Rock Spear on for size!”
