The massive rock spear flew toward them once again.
The succubi couldn't understand why this Low-Tier Skeleton's mana seemed utterly bottomless.
It couldn't be helped; Li Xiuman's Spirit stat was exceptionally high, double that of any Mage at his tier.
This made both his mana capacity and recovery rate significantly higher than those of other Mages.
Moreover, in this lava dungeon, his skill, [Flame Devouring], could constantly absorb the heat from the air and convert it into mana.
With such a dream setup for stamina and sustain, chasing down and tormenting a few succubi was absolutely effortless.
“We can't escape! We have to fight to the death!”
“Even though these human bodies are of high Quality, it's not like White Bear City doesn't have better options.”
“Make that traitorous Low-Tier Skeleton pay!”
Seeming to have reached a consensus, the succubi spun around in unison and charged toward Li Xiuman.
Li Xiuman made his choice as well.
Unleashing his Wind Magic, he flapped his Bone Wings to propel himself backward, instantly putting a massive distance between himself and the succubi.
Just a second ago, Li Xiuman had been spouting arrogance and constantly provoking them, yet now, he turned and fled without the slightest hesitation.
Skeletons had absolutely no interest in head-on clashes.
“How despicable and shameless!”
“How can there be a Low-Tier Skeleton as despicable and cowardly as you?!”
“You are an absolute disgrace to monsters! Disgusting!”
...
The adventurers controlled by the succubi hurled abuses one after another.
Li Xiuman didn't care in the slightest.
There was no way he would risk a head-on confrontation with this bunch.
These succubi were merely controlling the adventurers' bodies to fight, while their real bodies were hiding in God-knows-what corner.
Li Xiuman, on the other hand, was operating with his actual, physical body. He was extremely precious; what if he got chipped or dented?
Such a perfect skeleton body, practically a work of art.
Any damage to it wouldn't just be a loss for Li Xiuman; it would set the aesthetic standards of the entire magical world's skeletal kind back by several hundred years.
“Since this despicable skeleton is running, let's run too!”
The leading succubus cursed a few times before leading the group up toward the higher floors of the dungeon without hesitation.
Seeing this, Li Xiuman immediately stopped his retreat and chased after the fleeing succubi.
Along the way, he raised his wand and chanted aloud.
“My lovely little succubi, try my Super Rock Spear on for size!”
The massive rock spear shot toward the succubi once more.
The succubi: ...
In all their decades of roaming the magical world, these succubi had never encountered a skeleton so shameless and devoid of integrity.
“Die, you bastard!”
The succubi charged back once again, unleashing a barrage of chaotic spells.
Li Xiuman didn't even look back as he spun around and fled.
The cursing succubi chased him for a short distance before turning around to flee toward the upper floors again.
Li Xiuman immediately doubled back once more.
“...try my Super Rock Spear on for size!”
“****!”
The succubi's emotions were highly volatile.
Li Xiuman, on the other hand, was in high spirits.
And so, the two sides continued their endless game of cat-and-mouse within the dungeon, pulling back and forth.
The succubi's mana and mental energy rapidly depleted.
Having to constantly watch their backs for sneak attacks while fueling their burning rage had left the succubi completely exhausted.
The brains of the succubi were filled with nothing but that brainwashing phrase: “Try my Super Rock Spear on for size!”
The words echoed in their minds over and over again.
In the end, even if Li Xiuman didn't cast any magic and merely shouted those words, the succubi ahead would break into a panicked scramble, warily looking out for a Super Rock Spear that might thrust out from an unknown direction.
“The time is ripe.”
Looking at the severely depleted mana and exhausted, dark-circle-eyed adventurers.
Li Xiuman knew it was about time to strike.
He was still bursting with energy. These little succubi were truly tormenting little vixens.
They had actively run him ragged for two whole days before finally reaching their breaking point.
“Golem Creation!”
Li Xiuman pressed his hand against the rock beside him, and a yellow magic circle expanded.
The stone twisted and grew, shaping itself into a humanoid Golem of roughly the same build as Li Xiuman.
“Go over there. Flank them.”
Li Xiuman commanded the Golem.
This Golem wasn't particularly strong. Its equipped skills were all utility-focused, such as [Bone Wings], [Quiet Steps], and [Swiftness].
Its only offensive skills were [Swordsmanship] and [Close Combat].
Furthermore, Li Xiuman had stuffed a crude, half-finished voice function into it.
In reality, it was just a makeshift recording feature.
Meanwhile, Li Xiuman stealthily trailed behind the succubi, eager to harvest them for all they were worth.
Even though these weren't their main bodies, they would still yield plenty of experience points.
“My lovely little succubi, try my Super Rock Spear on for size!”
As the familiar voice rang out once again, the succubi's formation fell into complete disarray, with every single one of them warily scanning their surroundings.
Then, wearing a breastplate and gripping a wand, "Li Xiuman" charged out from up ahead, looking determined to fight to the death.
The succubi were overjoyed.
They had nearly been driven mad by Li Xiuman. Now that he was finally engaging them, they grew incredibly excited.
“That despicable Low-Tier Skeleton has lost his patience! This is our chance—crush him!”
The succubi rapidly adjusted their formation.
The Heavy Warriors held the front, the Swordsmen took up positions behind them, and the Elementalists provided support from the rear.
“Die, skeleton!”
A Heavy Warrior raised his greatsword high and slashed downward. Li Xiuman scrambled to block with his arms, but the impact sent him staggering back and crashing onto the ground.
“So... weak?!”
The cloak was suddenly blown back by the wind.
Beneath it lay no skeleton at all—it was just a Golem.
“It's a trap! Watch your backs!”
The leading Heavy Warrior's pupils shrank as he whipped around and bellowed!
That despicable skeleton had actually stripped off his own equipment and dressed a Golem up to impersonate him!
He's so fucking underhanded!
Too bad skeletons didn't have hearts.
Squelch!
The sound of a sharp blade piercing flesh.
The two Elementalists who had been protected in the rear were skewered clean through.
And the culprit was none other than that despicable skeleton.
Currently, the skeleton was clad in leather armor and a cloak. He drew his skeleton sword, bringing with it a spray of blood.
“Gagaga, didn't expect that, did you?”
The skeleton's voice sounded somewhat off, as if it had grown much hoarser.
After saying only this single line, he said no more and lunged toward the other Elementalists.
The other Elementalists scrambled to escape.
None of them doubted the authenticity of this "Li Xiuman."
The Heavy Warriors and other Swordsmen turned around to rush to the rear without a moment's hesitation.
And the moment they turned their backs, the weak "Golem" on the ground suddenly sprang to its feet.
Holding its wand like a dagger, it savagely backstabbed the Heavy Warrior.
The Heavy Warrior had never expected the seemingly fragile Golem to suddenly turn aggressive, and was skewered clean through in an instant.
[Ding! Slain Heavy Warrior Lv.25. EXP +1,800.]
Having taken down the Heavy Warrior with a surprise backstab, the Golem didn't hesitate for a second. It raised its wand and aimed it at the other succubi.
The other succubi finally realized what was happening and shrieked.
“This one is the real one!”
The Li Xiuman here had disguised himself as a Golem to draw their attention, while the actual Golem was the one who had sneak-attacked the two Mages in the back.
