After the Patriarch finished his daily lecture.
He kept Su Qing behind and began teaching her the Seventy-two Transformations.
Su Qing sat upright and listened attentively, afraid of missing anything.
Su Qing had her past accumulation of knowledge.
Learning these Seventy-two Transformations was relatively simple for her.
Coupled with her enthusiasm for cultivation, her learning speed was not slow.
Basically, whatever Patriarch Bodhi taught, she could learn.
Her cultivation progressed step by step.
Unknowingly, half a year had passed.
Today, a light snow was falling.
A layer of snow had already accumulated in the courtyard.
Leng Xiang was sweeping the snow in the courtyard with a broom, while a few sparrows chirped around her, chattering about something.
They were probably talking about Su Qing's past, as usual.
As if to say they knew Su Qing very well.
But Leng Xiang didn't care much for these things, only answering casually with a smile.
Her hands remained focused on sweeping the snow.
For Leng Xiang, staying by Su Qing's side and having something to do was enough to be content.
Su Qing stood in the courtyard, a snowball in her hand.
Because of her hibernation habits, this was the first time she had ever truly seen snow.
Naturally, she was full of interest in the snow.
Su Qing didn't need to learn any new spells today.
She had already completely mastered the Seventy-two Transformations a few days ago.
From now on, what she needed to do was to consolidate and perfect them.
And today was for resting and relaxing a bit.
She looked at the snowball in her hand.
It's unknown what she was thinking, but she threw the snowball at Leng Xiang.
The snowball didn't pass through Leng Xiang's body, but splattered right across her face.
Leng Xiang turned her head, a look of confusion on her face, and asked:
"My lady, is something the matter? Did I not sweep the snow cleanly?"
Su Qing was stunned for a moment. She thought Leng Xiang would immediately grab a snowball and throw it back.
But she never expected... not only was Leng Xiang not the least bit angry, she even asked so gently.
This left Su Qing at a loss.
Do you have to be so gentle?!
Su Qing said, "It's nothing... I just wanted to play with you."
"Play?" Leng Xiang tilted her head and asked, "My lady, what should I do?"
If her master wanted to play, she was naturally happy to oblige.
She was happy to be able to ease her master's worries.
The more useful she was, the more her master would be unable to leave her.
And the less likely she would be thrown back into storage.
Leng Xiang felt her little calculations were working out very well.
Su Qing was helpless. Leng Xiang clearly had no idea what a snowball fight was.
So, she explained it to her.
Leng Xiang wasn't slow; she understood quickly.
Just then, the little fat chirpers announced they wanted to join the game too.
"You don't even have hands... How can you have a snowball fight?"
"But we know magic!"
"That's right, that's right. We can make snowballs with magic."
Su Qing said, "But using magic, wouldn't that be cheating?"
"It doesn't count, it doesn't count! We'll only make the snowballs! We absolutely won't cheat!"
"Me too! Me too!" Well, that silly bird had learned a new phrase.
Hearing this, Su Qing nodded.
It would be more fun with a few more players.
Besides, it's just a little sparrow. At worst, it would just be harder to hit.
Worst case... I can just team up with Leng Xiang!
And so, Su Qing and the others started a snowball fight.
The snowball fight went on for quite a while.
In the end, Su Qing and Leng Xiang naturally won.
But although they won the game,
the courtyard that Leng Xiang had nearly finished cleaning
now had to be cleaned all over again.
However, even though she had to clean again, Leng Xiang had no complaints.
Because she had also had a lot of fun playing.
Having spent so much time together, she had genuinely grown to like her current master.
Who wouldn't like such a gentle master?
Su Qing had her fill of fun that afternoon.
After relaxing thoroughly, she returned to her cultivation with a peaceful mind.
Leng Xiang, as always, helped Su Qing with all sorts of things.
Whether it was cooking or doing laundry, Leng Xiang handled it all by herself.
She even helped with dressing and tying up hair.
Su Qing felt... Leng Xiang shouldn't be called the Housewife Sword, but the Useless Person Nurturing Sword.
She herself was on the verge of being nurtured into a useless person.
Even the little sparrows, who had lost some weight, were now fat again because of Leng Xiang...
But Su Qing declared... she absolutely could not be nurtured into a useless person.
She immediately swore that she would start doing some things for herself the next day.
And so, on the second day, she made the same vow again.
The third day was the same.
It wasn't that Su Qing was too lazy, but that Leng Xiang was too good.
The days passed one by one.
Su Qing's life went on as usual.
Plain, yet fulfilling.
When it was time to cultivate, she cultivated diligently.
When it was time to listen to Patriarch Bodhi's lectures, she went to listen.
There is no sense of time in cultivation.
Just like that, an unknown number of years passed.
Thinking back, it must have been about ten springs and autumns!
About ten years passed.
Su Qing had seen off some more senior brothers and sisters...
Now, only about a dozen people remained in the Daoist monastery.
After they left, Patriarch Bodhi did not accept any new disciples.
As a result, the once relatively lively monastery seemed much quieter.
It took Su Qing quite a while to get used to it.
Over these years, Su Qing had also cultivated diligently.
Her cultivation level naturally grew higher and higher...
A few days ago, she had somehow triggered a nine-lightning tribulation.
It had struck both her and the ginkgo tree in the courtyard, leaving them dazed...
Fortunately, although the lightning tribulation came suddenly and was very painful for Su Qing,
she managed to pass through it safely in the end.
And after the lightning tribulation,
Su Qing's cultivation level naturally rose a notch.
Even her False Core had solidified somewhat.
It was just a pity for the ginkgo tree.
This child was so unlucky; every time Su Qing faced a tribulation, it would get a share of it.
If there were any benefits, it would be one thing...
But besides seeing its branches get blasted off each time, Su Qing really didn't know what benefits it gained.
She could only sigh.
Unlucky child.
Today.
The weather was hot and stifling.
Su Qing was enjoying Leng Xiang's cool aura while concentrating on her cultivation.
Just then, a knock came from the door.
Su Qing then exited her cultivation state and went to the door to see what was happening.
"Senior Brother Liu?" Seeing it was Liu Yingtong, Su Qing asked, "Senior Brother, what brings you here?"
Liu Yingtong said, "Master sent me to call you over. He probably has something to instruct you about."
Hearing this, Su Qing nodded slightly.
She turned her head to say a word to the little ones dozing in the courtyard, then followed him to Patriarch Bodhi's place.
On the way, Liu Yingtong said to Su Qing, "Junior Sister, in a few more days, I'll have to leave too."
"..." Su Qing sighed inwardly and said, "Senior Brother is graduating too?"
"I wouldn't call it graduating... after all, my skills are not refined. But it is indeed time to leave," Liu Yingtong said.
"Is that so..."
Su Qing felt a little reluctant in her heart. After all, a senior brother she had known for so many years was leaving.
But his departure was not something she could decide.
So she could only say:
"I can only wish Senior Brother a safe journey."
"Thank you for your kind words, Junior Sister."
Liu Yingtong chuckled and said, "We're here. You can go in, Junior Sister! I'll head back now."
Su Qing nodded slightly and walked towards Patriarch Bodhi's main hall.
When she reached the entrance, Su Qing did not speak.
The door opened by itself.
Su Qing wasted no more time and walked straight in.
"Yingqing... how many years have you been studying here with me?"
Patriarch Bodhi looked at Su Qing and asked with a faint smile.
