Su Qing ignored those demons.
She leaped, stepping on the sheer cliff face, and ascended to the mountain peak, arriving before the wondrous stone.
Su Qing caressed the wondrous stone before her, examining it carefully.
She felt it was truly worthy of being an immortal stone, nurtured by heaven and earth.
It was indeed very miraculous.
This stone was three zhang, six chi, and five cun tall, and two zhang, four chi in circumference.
Its height of three zhang, six chi, and five cun subtly corresponded to the 365 days of a year, while its circumference of two zhang, four chi subtly corresponded to the twenty-four solar terms.
Not only that.
The stone also had nine apertures and eight holes, subtly aligning with the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams.
Though there were no trees to shade it, it was accompanied by spirit ganoderma nearby.
There was no need to say more; just by looking, one could tell it was immensely profound and possessed great spiritual sentience.
“This immortal stone is so profound; it must have absorbed the essence of the sun and moon on Flower-Fruit Mountain for countless years. No wonder it could hatch such a divine stone monkey…”
Su Qing gazed at the immortal stone, marveling.
Su Qing no longer remembered how the immortal stone was described in the book…
She was simply moved by the stone's current divinity.
However, Su Qing was also quite curious.
What kind of expression would the monkey have when he later became Patriarch Bodhi's disciple and learned that she was his senior sister?
Thinking about it carefully, it was quite amusing.
Leng Xiang watched Su Qing from the side, thinking her young mistress was giggling foolishly again.
Her young mistress was always intelligent at times, and foolish at others, prone to inexplicable laughter, which truly made one worry.
“I just wonder if, on his journey to obtain scriptures, he encounters a demon he can't defeat, will he come to me for help…”
Perhaps embarrassed by Leng Xiang's gaze, Su Qing couldn't help but stick out her tongue and muttered to herself:
“Never mind, let's see what kind of trouble it is! If it's something like the Queen of Women's Kingdom, or the Jade Rabbit Spirit, helping out might not be bad. Speaking of which, that rabbit still wanted to kick my butt, didn't she?”
Leng Xiang found Su Qing's words somewhat baffling.
But she didn't think much of it…
After all, she didn't know about the journey to the West.
Nor did she understand this wondrous stone.
She merely turned her head to look at the wondrous stone, appreciating its divine qualities.
“Young mistress, does this stone seem to be throbbing?”
Leng Xiang reached out and touched the stone, saying:
“Like a heartbeat.”
Su Qing nodded slightly upon hearing this, not surprised.
She knew an immortal embryo was gestating inside, which would later become the monkey…
A slight throbbing was not strange.
“The stone is pregnant,” Su Qing said with a gentle smile, half-joking.
However, it wasn't entirely a joke.
A stone nurturing an immortal embryo, wasn't that just a pregnant stone?
Leng Xiang was startled by her words, turning to look at Su Qing.
“Stones can get pregnant?”
“Does Sister Xiao Qing mean that this stone is carrying a small stone inside?”
“Sister Xiao Qing probably means that, right?”
“But a stone carrying a stone, no matter how you think about it, is quite strange.”
“Yes, yes, how can a stone be pregnant?”
“Could it be a quickly spoiling stone?”
The Little Sparrows chattered away, discussing it with great delight.
Su Qing ignored the Little Sparrows and only said to Leng Xiang:
“The world is vast and full of wonders. Little birds can talk, green snakes can cultivate, and even spirit swords can have sword spirits who can cook. What's so strange about a stone nurturing an immortal embryo?”
Leng Xiang was slightly startled, her mind full of questions.
While she was skilled in housework, in other aspects, she didn't necessarily know more than Su Qing.
After all, Su Qing had experienced the bombardment of the internet in her previous life.
She had countless miscellaneous things in her mind…
How could Leng Xiang compare to that?
After a moment of thought, Leng Xiang asked:
“Then, young mistress… does this mean that even Leng Xiang could nurture an immortal embryo?”
Su Qing was stunned…
Well!
That question truly stumped Su Qing.
Even with her internet bombardment experience, Su Qing wasn't clear about sword spirits nurturing immortal embryos.
After all, she had never heard of any warrior marrying a sword spirit.
But marrying ghosts, snakes, or immortals, she knew about that.
“Hmm, I haven't tried, so I don't know.”
Su Qing shook her head slightly:
“But… it should be possible, right? After all, the world is vast and full of wonders!”
“If we're just talking about things that can make even non-normal females conceive, I do know a few…”
“Legend says there is a kingdom in the world called the Women's Kingdom… where all are females. And there's a river called the Mother-Child River; not to mention women, even female demons, female ghosts, or even men, if they drink its water, can become pregnant. If it's a sword spirit, it should also work.”
However, as she said this, Su Qing wondered again.
Would a sword spirit's child be a little sword?
No matter how she thought about it, it was quite strange.
After listening, Leng Xiang nodded thoughtfully.
Seeing this, Su Qing couldn't help but feel a little worried…
This girl wouldn't actually want to drink from the Mother-Child River and then have a daughter to play with, would she?
So she quickly said: “However, it's better not to drink that kind of thing. Who knows what's added to it to achieve such an effect.”
Leng Xiang nodded.
“Don't worry, young mistress, Leng Xiang has no such intentions. I was just a little curious… If young mistress dislikes it, Leng Xiang won't ask anymore.”
“It's fine, it's fine… There's nothing wrong with being curious. I just worry you might do something foolish.”
Hearing this, Su Qing breathed a sigh of relief…
Seeing that Leng Xiang no longer asked about the Women's Kingdom, Su Qing also stopped bringing it up.
Instead, she continued talking about the immortal stone.
“Looking at the rhythm of this immortal stone, it probably won't be many years before the immortal embryo hatches!”
“However, it doesn't concern us much right now.”
Yes, it didn't concern them much at the moment.
After all, at this moment, this stone was still just a stone!
Who knew when Sun Wukong would finally hatch?
Su Qing had finished speaking.
The Little Sparrows on the other side finally recovered from their information overload.
They kept saying, “So amazing, so amazing.”
But Su Qing and Leng Xiang both knew that these little ones probably hadn't understood any of the previous conversation.
They were just pretending to appear less foolish.
Didn't Su Qing and Leng Xiang know the nature of these little plump birds?
Su Qing smiled helplessly and said:
“Let's go, let's go! We've seen the immortal stone; it's time to explore other places.”
The sparrows also had no objections and happily followed.
Along the way, they couldn't help but ask Su Qing what kind of creature the stone would hatch.
Hearing this, Su Qing didn't directly say it was a monkey.
She just casually said: “Who knows? Perhaps a stone monkey, or a stone person, or even a stone bird.”
The answer naturally left the little ones dissatisfied.
But seeing that Su Qing was unwilling to elaborate further, they had no choice but to give up.
After Su Qing left the immortal stone, its throbbing rhythm became more regular and increasingly intense.
A small palm print appeared on the stone, only to vanish moments later.
If Su Qing had been there, she might have noticed.
This stone, it seemed, wouldn't need many years to hatch the stone monkey.
Su Qing descended the mountain, intending to look for the Water Curtain Cave on Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Since she had come to Flower-Fruit Mountain, she definitely had to visit the Water Curtain Cave.
However, Su Su Qing had only just descended the mountain for a short while.
When she felt many gazes around her… and they were extremely hostile.
“Young mistress… they actually dare to stare at you like that, I really want to slaughter them.”
