Su Qing smiled helplessly.
She felt that Leng Xiang was overly protective of her.
However, she didn't blame Leng Xiang.
The gazes of these minor demons were indeed annoying.
If it were just to guard against her, that would be fine, but looking at the situation...
She feared they would start a fight sooner or later.
Su Qing pondered whether to strike first.
Although her nature was calm, she disliked contention and disputes.
But if someone provoked her first.
She was not one to shy away from trouble.
"Fine, Leng Xiang... kill a few to make an example."
Su Qing thought for a moment and decided to kill a chicken to scare the monkeys.
If ineffective, she would kill them all.
Su Qing also didn't want to create too much bad karma.
Leng Xiang received the order and nodded slightly.
She then transformed into a streak of light and flew into the forest.
In just a moment.
Two flashes of white light, and a wolf's head and a rat's head flew up.
After Leng Xiang slew the two demons, her tone was icy as she said:
"If you do not retreat, this will be your fate."
The effect of killing a chicken to scare the monkeys was outstanding.
The minor demons saw how powerful Leng Xiang was... after she killed two of their brothers in the blink of an eye.
They also knew they were no match for Leng Xiang.
They immediately scattered like birds and beasts.
Soon, they were gone.
Seeing the minor demons flee.
Leng Xiang also returned to Su Qing's side.
"Little Master, Leng Xiang has not failed her mission." Leng Xiang returned to Su Qing's side.
The cold expression from the battle instantly melted away.
"Leng Xiang is truly amazing!" Su Qing naturally didn't stint on praise, saying: "It's so good to have Leng Xiang around."
Indeed, with Leng Xiang around, Su Qing hardly had to do anything herself.
Truly a useless snake.
Hearing this, Leng Xiang smiled even more happily.
With no more minor demons staring at them.
Su Qing also felt much more comfortable...
After teasing the little sparrows who hadn't quite grasped the situation, she continued her search for the Water Curtain Cave.
After the minor demons fled.
They rushed back to their respective Great King's caves.
"Great King, Great King! This is bad, this is bad!"
A rat demon hurriedly ran back into the cave, kneeling before its Great King.
"What's bad? Explain it carefully! Also, where is the person I told you to catch?"
"Great King, that person is what's bad!"
"Oh?"
"That woman is a tough one, accompanied by a flying sword that can turn into a woman. With just one encounter, she killed two of our brothers. We knew we were no match and had to flee first."
The rat demon said:
"Great King, that woman, I'm afraid only you can deal with her personally!"
The rat demon stammered, recounting everything that had happened to the tiger demon.
The tiger demon, upon hearing this, flew into a rage.
"Useless creatures, you can't even deal with a woman, and were even scared away! What trash!"
"Great King, the spirit sword by that woman's side is truly formidable! We minor demons don't have your great power, we are no match for that spirit sword!"
"Hmph."
The tiger demon snorted coldly, saying:
"Someone, bring me my weapon! I want to meet that spirit sword! You all prepare firewood in the cave, and when I return... we'll eat that immortal's flesh!! And take that spirit sword's sword spirit as my bandit queen!"
Seeing this, the demons cheered.
It seemed that with their Great King making a move, victory was already assured.
In Flower-Fruit Mountain, similar scenes played out in the caves of other demon kings.
Some had already set out, some planned to reap the benefits later, and others intended to continue probing the situation.
Su Qing, on her side, was unaware of the demons' affairs.
She was merely looking for the location of the Water Curtain Cave along the way...
The territory of Flower-Fruit Mountain was not terribly large, but it wasn't small enough to traverse in a short time either.
There were many waterfalls here; who knew which one had the Water Curtain Cave behind it?
However, Su Qing was not in a hurry.
She considered it a sightseeing trip.
After walking for some time.
Su Qing arrived at a waterfall.
She was about to jump into the waterfall to see if the Water Curtain Cave was inside.
When she saw several black clouds approaching in mid-air.
The black clouds exuded waves of demonic energy and a pungent, bloody smell.
It was clear that the newcomers meant trouble.
"Little Master... more demons are coming." Leng Xiang stood beside Su Qing and said: "Indeed, I should have killed all those demons just now."
Su Qing smiled helplessly at this...
She had thought that after these demons fled, they wouldn't dare to cause trouble again.
But she didn't expect that while those who fled wouldn't return, they had called in even more powerful ones.
This taught Su Qing a valuable lesson: sometimes one must cut the weeds and dig up the roots to avoid future trouble.
"Leng Xiang, can you handle them?" Su Qing asked.
"Just a few stronger demons, nothing to fear. It just means a few more slashes of the sword."
Su Qing nodded slightly, saying:
"Then I'll trouble you."
With Leng Xiang taking action, there was no need for Su Qing to intervene.
As they spoke, the cloud descended, landing not far in front of Su Qing.
As the black clouds dispersed, they revealed four great demons: a tiger, a leopard, a jackal, and a wolf.
"She truly is a beauty. I imagine she'll taste excellent roasted!"
The tiger demon couldn't help but laugh when he saw Su Qing:
"That spirit sword's sword spirit is also quite pretty; she'd make a suitable bandit queen."
The leopard demon heard this and chuckled: "Brother Tiger, you want to devour this immortal's spirit flesh all by yourself!"
"Hmph, what if I do devour it myself?"
"I'm afraid Brother Tiger's appetite is too small to swallow it."
The jackal demon, seeing his own kind arguing, couldn't help but say:
"Let's discuss everything after we kill the immortal. Don't start fighting among ourselves before the battle even begins."
"Brother Jackal is right."
The wolf demon agreed:
"However, I think that immortal can also be captured to be a bandit queen. I'm sure none of us have experienced the taste of an immortal yet!"
Hearing this, the tiger and leopard demons stopped their argument, feeling that the wolf and jackal demons both had valid points.
However, Leng Xiang had no interest in listening to their continued vulgar remarks.
Without waiting for them to announce themselves, or for them to continue spouting nonsense.
She directly attacked with her sword.
The surprise attack severed the jackal demon's arm.
The jackal demon retreated explosively, angrily shouting: "This fellow is so unreasonable! To actually launch a sneak attack! How despicable!"
Leng Xiang turned a deaf ear.
Despicable or not, she didn't care.
She was only angry that these demons wanted to eat her Little Master, and wanted to marry her Little Master as a bandit queen.
These two reasons alone were enough for her to kill them a thousand times over.
"Hmph, let's all attack together! This spirit sword merely gained the upper hand. We have strength in numbers, why should we fear her!"
The tiger demon was also startled by Leng Xiang's sword strike. Ignoring their previous grievances, he immediately called for the other three demons to join forces against the enemy.
For a time, black energy and sword light intertwined...
The battle was quite fierce.
Unfortunately, although the four demons—tiger, leopard, jackal, and wolf—were not weak in strength.
Compared to Leng Xiang, they were far inferior.
Leng Xiang, fighting one against four, still held the upper hand...
In just a moment, she had the four demons—tiger, leopard, jackal, and wolf—fleeing repeatedly.
They had lost all the arrogance and sharp spirit they displayed upon meeting...
They only begged for mercy repeatedly.
"Grandma, spare us, Grandma, spare us!"
"Mercy, mercy!"
"We are willing to surrender to the immortal, willing to be your oxen and horses, willing to be your mounts! We only ask that Grandma spare our lives."
The four demons—tiger, leopard, jackal, and wolf—were beaten into continuous pleas for mercy, even abandoning their dignity as demon kings.
They would rather be mounts, rather be oxen and horses...
Only to live!
However, Leng Xiang said coldly: "My Little Master only needs me. You demons are not worthy! You're not even fit to be mounts!"
With that, she drew her sword and slew the four demons.
From afar, several minor demons flying in the sky witnessed this scene.
They were so frightened they nearly fell from the sky.
They rushed back to report to their Great King.
