After another four days in a carriage, jolted to the point where Freya felt like her rear end was about to shatter, she and Euphy finally made it back to Auxerre.
Freya silently resolved to push for the development of the nation's transportation system. At the very least, they had to get trains running, or else this would be pure torture.
During their journey, almost every place they passed was filled with locals discussing the coronation of the new monarch. After all, this was the biggest event in the Kingdom of Tarapaca in recent memory, so everyone was naturally curious.
As for this new monarch, the commoners outside the capital had mixed reviews:
“I heard the newly appointed monarch is a Queen? Is she really reliable?”
“Didn't the old King only reign for a dozen or so years, if I recall? Why did he abdicate so suddenly?”
“Who knows? And I felt like life was pretty good under the old King's reign. Why the sudden change?”
“Sigh, I just hope this new Queen doesn't mess with the policies too much, and as long as she doesn't raise taxes, it'll be fine.”
These were the casual conversations of guests at other tables while Freya was staying at an inn one day. The reason these people felt the previous King was decent was simply because he had done almost nothing and changed nothing. For these ordinary folk, a stable life was more than enough to keep them satisfied.
However, regardless of how these people viewed ‘Law Freya’—whether they praised or criticized her—Freya did not care. Once policies like integrating the Church of the Earth, limiting working hours, and establishing a minimum wage were rolled out one by one, these commoners would realize her benevolence.
On the morning of the fifth day, Freya woke up in her own bed for the first time in a while. After a comfortable stretch, she began to get dressed. First came the white shirt, dark jacket, and short skirt, followed finally by black stockings. She pulled them up slowly from her toes, gradually wrapping her calves and thighs. After repeating the process for her other leg, she stood up and pulled the pantyhose up to her waist.
Looking down at her small feet wrapped in black stockings, Freya wiggled her toes a bit, flexing and curling them. She then reached down to smooth out her calves and thighs, ensuring there were no wrinkles and that the stockings clung perfectly to her skin before finally slipping into her small brown leather shoes.
After washing up and doing her hair, Euphy finished making breakfast just in time. Once they finished eating, Freya picked up her schoolbag and waved to Euphy. “I'm off to class then~”
Euphy could not help but sigh. “Even though I can't quite understand why you still have to go to school when you're already the King of a country.”
Freya replied offhandedly, “Nothing is more important than school! Besides, I have nothing to do at home anyway, so I might as well find something to occupy myself. Not to mention, I actually find school quite fun now.”
Arriving at school on time, she walked into her classroom. The rest of the class froze for a moment upon seeing Freya. In the next second, as if gamers spotting a treasure chest, they crowded around her one by one.
“Freya? You're back!?”
“I heard the capital was locked down for several days, and then we suddenly got a new monarch? Do you know what happened?”
“Have you seen the new monarch? What does she look like? Is she pretty?”
Freya smiled and answered them one by one, “I'm just an ordinary person, you know. The capital was indeed locked down, but I don't know what happened. As for Her Majesty the Queen, I did see her. I actually came back a few days late because of the coronation ceremony, and I managed to catch a glimpse of her from afar. Mmm, in short, she is a very beautiful person~!”
Hearing this, one of her classmates sighed in admiration, “You have such great luck! You just happened to visit the capital and ran right into the coronation of the new monarch. I wish I could have seen the coronation ceremony too.”
However, she silently muttered to herself that this probably had nothing to do with luck. If she had not gone to the capital, this whole thing might not have happened in the first place.
As they chatted, Amy finally squeezed through the crowd to stand before Freya. She carefully looked Freya up and down before asking, “Fufu, you didn't run into any danger, did you?”
Freya smiled. “What kind of danger could I possibly run into in the capital? Isn't that the safest place in the entire country?”
Then, she continued to complain in her heart that she had actually almost died.
Amid the chatter of the students, the teacher finally entered the classroom. She frowned slightly and said, “Why are you all crowding around here? Go back to your seats!”
At those words, the students dispersed instantly. However, just as Freya was about to return to her seat, the teacher called out to her, clearing her throat. “Ahem, Freya, do you mind telling me a bit about what happened in the capital?”
Freya: “...”

After an unadorned day of school life, before dismissal, Andrew, the class monitor, found Freya. “Freya, it's about the 【Supernatural Research Society】. You would absolutely never believe it, but while you were away, we actually discovered the existence of supernatural forces!”

They were an extraordinary, for goodness' sake. Didn't they have anything better to do than act like a performer and play games with a few kids?
Today was only Monday, which meant there were still five days until the next meeting of the 【Supernatural Research Society】. Freya nodded and said, “Mhm, I'll be there on time next time!”
Afterward, the days passed by in an ordinary fashion. No major events occurred during this time—or rather, the only major event was that the integration of the Church of the Earth was steadily progressing.
