Chapter 105 | My Beast Taming Space Hides a Gacha Pool

"Is this the effect of 'Cloud Walking'?" Liu Yi realized.

No wonder Chiying's flight test data was so outstanding; this Trait not only allowed it to fly but also automatically formed a wind barrier to protect its rider.

Chiying suddenly dove, and Liu Yi's heart rate instantly sped up.

But the expected feeling of weightlessness didn't occur; the descent was as smooth as an elevator.

Then, Chiying elegantly pulled up, tracing a perfect arc in the air.

"Are you teasing me?" Liu Yi chuckled, patting Chiying's neck.

Ziyue also suddenly sped forward, turning to face them.

It took a deep breath and abruptly exhaled a cloud of ice mist. The mist condensed in the air, forming a crystalline archway.

Chiying, understanding, carried Liu Yi through the ice gate. The moment they passed through, tiny ice crystals sprinkled over them, refracting colorful light in the sunlight.

Liu Yi couldn't help but laugh out loud.

A pet trying to make its Beast Tamer happy? This was truly novel.

"Liu Yi? Liu Yi!"

A voice came from behind. Liu Yi turned to see a Cloud Howler Sparrow rapidly approaching from the side-rear, its rider waving desperately. It was Li Chengying.

"It really is you!" Li Chengying, having her Cloud Howler Sparrow fly parallel to Chiying, shouted excitedly, "I was just training Mianmian at the outdoor training ground, looked up, and saw a Frost Path, and then a dragon flying past! Oh my goodness, is that Chiying? The evolved Chiying?"

"Yunyun."

The Cloud Howler Sparrow curiously eyed Chiying, letting out a clear chirp.

Chiying politely nodded in response, its flight path as steady as a rock, completely undisturbed.

"Where are you going?" Li Chengying asked, her hair messy from the wind, her face beaming with excitement.

Liu Yi: "Home."

"Oh, right! Don't forget, tomorrow morning at nine, the School Team training ground!" Li Chengying suddenly slapped her forehead. "Teacher Wei said there's something important to announce, regarding the National High School League."

Liu Yi nodded, indicating that Wei Xiuyu had already informed her.

Just then, the Cloud Howler Sparrow, seemingly spurred by Chiying's composure, suddenly accelerated forward and then provocatively circled.

"Mianmian!" Li Chengying exclaimed, "Stop messing around!"

Chiying's eyes narrowed slightly. Liu Yi felt Chiying's flight pause for a moment. She gently stroked Chiying's dragon manes: "Want to race?"

"Mo."

Chiying nodded, wagging its tail.

Li Chengying laughed at the sight: "Looks like Mianmian found a rival! How about a friendly match? Let's make that TV tower the finish line!"

Liu Yi smiled faintly: "Alright then."

Li Chengying had already leaned down, ready: "3, 2, 1, Go!"

The Cloud Howler Sparrow shot out like an arrow from a bow.

Chiying was not to be outdone, pushing off with its four claws in the air and quickly giving chase.

Chiying's flight style was completely different from the Cloud Howler Sparrow's, relying on a subtle control of airflow, as natural and fluid as swimming in water.

Seeing this, Ziyue immediately accelerated, its Frost Path continuously extending beneath its feet, trying to stay behind and to the side of Chiying, ready to respond to any sudden situations.

The city below receded rapidly, and Liu Yi saw the TV tower getting closer.

The Cloud Howler Sparrow held a temporary lead thanks to its head start, but Chiying was steadily closing the distance.

Just as it was about to overtake, a flock of migrating Windbell Birds suddenly appeared ahead.

"Watch out!" Liu Yi and Li Chengying shouted simultaneously.

The Cloud Howler Sparrow abruptly pulled up, ascending almost vertically to avoid the flock.

Chiying, however, displayed astonishing agility. It tilted its body, gliding like a nimble dragon through the gaps in the flock, its speed undiminished.

This elegant evasive maneuver allowed Chiying to successfully overtake.

When they reached the TV tower, Chiying was already at least three body lengths ahead.

"That's amazing!" Li Chengying had her Cloud Howler Sparrow circle the TV tower, her eyes filled with admiration. "I've never seen Chiying's flight style before; no wings, yet so agile!"

Liu Yi slid off Chiying's back, standing on the TV tower's observation deck, leaning against Ziyue to calm her breathing.

"I can't wait to see Teacher Wei's expression tomorrow when she sees Chiying after its evolution!" Li Chengying smoothed her hair, then suddenly remembered something. "Ah, I have to go back. I have a training session this afternoon. What about you two?"

"We should head home too." Liu Yi looked in the direction of her house.

After bidding farewell to Li Chengying, Liu Yi, Ziyue, and Chiying set off again from the TV tower's observation deck.

When the familiar neighborhood appeared in sight, Liu Yi signaled Chiying to descend.

Chiying slowly landed in the backyard training ground, and Ziyue leaped off its ice path.

"Xiao Yi?" Auntie Chen's voice came from inside the house. "Is that you back?"

Liu Yi: "It's us, in the backyard training ground."

The back door was suddenly pushed open, and Auntie Chen hurried out, followed by the bouncing Boxing Bunny and the floating Fluffy Butler.

Upon seeing the evolved Chiying, Auntie Chen gasped, covering her mouth in surprise.

"Oh my, Chiying, how did you get so big?!"

Liu Yi smiled: "Auntie Chen, Chiying evolved. It's a Moling Dragon now. And we can fly home now."

Auntie Chen was silent for a moment, then thought about Ziyue's previous evolution speed. Perhaps she should get used to it... right?

Her gaze flickered between Liu Yi, Ziyue, and Chiying, and for a moment, she was speechless.

Soon after, Auntie Chen simply stopped thinking about it. After all, their growth always exceeded her common understanding.

Auntie Chen circled Chiying, carefully touching its scales: "This change is too big. Hey, wait." She suddenly reacted, "You said you flew home?"

Liu Yi nodded, telling her about the experience of flying back from the Beast Tamer Association. The Fluffy Butler and Boxing Bunny nearby listened intently, their reactions quite amusing.

Auntie Chen, however, shook her head after listening. She felt that tomorrow her phone would probably be flooded with news reports about them from the Longwu Region.

......

After showering, Liu Yi sat at the dining table, eating the meal Auntie Chen had prepared at a faster pace than usual. Ziyue and Chiying also enjoyed the latent energy pills in front of them.

Although she had meditated intensely for nearly three days in the Dragon Vein Ridge earlier, she hadn't felt particularly hungry after meditating, only having an energy bar.
