Old Cyclops moved across the level ground with incredible speed, a pace that seemed entirely mismatched with his massive frame.
Standing over three hundred meters tall, he was the largest land creature Chen Xu had ever seen, towering several levels higher than even Bone Guard One.
Yet, despite being such a gargantuan beast, he moved so fast that he left afterimages in his wake.
Everywhere he passed, bones shattered and grave mounds were leveled. Even the flat earth was carved with a deep trench by the sheer force of his stride.
When the distance between the two sides closed to a single kilometer, Old Cyclops stomped the ground.
"Boom!"
Instantly, a terrifying force erupted, leaving a massive crater in the earth.
Using the recoil of the impact, Old Cyclops leaped high into the air.
Then, he took a deep breath. His originally shriveled body began to expand rapidly like a balloon being inflated.
As he swelled, his size became even more immense, resembling a falling meteor.
Seeing that Old Cyclops intended to launch an attack directly from the sky, Bone Guard One stowed his bone blade and pulled out the battle flag from his back, waving it high.
"Clack! Clack!"
Over five hundred million skeleton soldiers moved in perfect unison. Under Bone Guard One's direction, they formed the Huangquan Formation.
The battle flag in Bone Guard One's hand was a special creation from the academy, inscribed with the neural pathways of the formation. It allowed him to adjust the formation in real-time and helped him gather energy, serving a function similar to the Huangquan Armor to a certain extent.
As the formation was completed, the power within the skeleton soldiers harmonized and connected with Bone Guard One.
Bone Guard One raised the battle flag high. A thick Ultimate Cold Power flowed from his body into the flag, the azure energy coursing along the pole and swirling onto the fabric.
A seductive, beautiful spider lily was outlined by the Ultimate Cold Power.
As the final stroke was completed, the seductive, beautiful spider lily bloomed in the sky above.
Unlike the spider lily of the Huangquan Army, the energy within these skeleton soldiers was Ultimate Cold Power. Therefore, the condensed spider lily was azure, matching the color of the skeleton soldiers' bones.
It lacked some of the ferocity of the original, gaining a touch of ethereal clarity instead.
Above them, Old Cyclops widened his singular, massive eyeball.
What was this thing? In all his years of roaming the Land of the Undead, this was the first time he had seen a skeleton make a flower bloom.
But Old Cyclops did not think further. The insatiable hunger in his gut was something even a mythic-tier Ghoul King could not avoid.
Unless they were full, ghouls were incapable of rational thought. In this state, only one thing remained in their minds.
Food! Food! Food!
Old Cyclops began to spin at high speed, hurtling down from the heavens.
"Bang!"
The giant meatball collided with the spider lily, producing a violent shockwave that sent the small ghouls charging nearby flying backward.
The petals of the spider lily fully unfurled under the force of the impact.
From the edges of the petals, countless tiny ice needles shot out, flying toward the meatball.
However, the meatball formed by Old Cyclops was still rotating at high speed. Before the ice needles could even touch him, they were swept away by the violent airflow and flung elsewhere.
Seeing this, Bone Guard One waved the battle flag, controlling the spider lily to close its petals while simultaneously sending a message to Xuan Chu in the rear.
Upon receiving the message, Xuan Chu gripped his battle flag and began to wave it. The other eight Black Knights joined him.
"Wooo~~~~"
Over twenty thousand bone dragons spread their wings simultaneously and soared into the sky. Following Xuan Chu's command, they formed the Biluo Formation.
The core of the formation was, naturally, the Dragon God, Sindragosa.
Sindragosa was positioned at the center of the dragon swarm. The nine Black Knights each occupied a specific position, controlling their formation flags. The noble dragon power spread from the core through the formation's pathways, reaching every bone dragon.
The Huangquan Formation worked by gathering the strength of the many to create an extraordinary phantom. The Biluo Formation was the opposite; it used a powerhouse or high-quality energy source as the core, benefiting the entire army through the formation.
On the other side, the spider lily of the Huangquan Formation had finished closing. The Ultimate Cold Power of the five hundred million skeleton soldiers firmly sealed Old Cyclops' meatball, leaving only his head and one arm exposed.
Old Cyclops could not believe it. His invincible strength had actually been suppressed.
He raised his arm high and smashed it down frantically. With every heavy strike, a small section of the flower's body was reduced to powder.
Just as Old Cyclops raised his arm to strike again, a long insect hook flew over and snagged his wrist, halting his blow.
Old Cyclops looked down along the hook and discovered an incredibly plump and strange abomination.
Its size far exceeded that of a normal abomination, and its body was covered in various strange limbs—dragon heads, dragon wings, dragon claws, and human hands. The sight made Old Cyclops grin, his saliva dripping.
Below, Patchwerk was still pulling hard on the hook, trying to tear Old Cyclops' arm off.
This arm, brimming with powerful strength, had triggered Patchwerk's desire to stitch. He could not wait to sew this ghoul arm into his own body.
Little did he know that the owner of the arm, Old Cyclops, also wanted to swallow Patchwerk whole.
Suddenly, Old Cyclops twisted his wrist, wrapping the hook around his arm several times. Then, with a sudden burst of strength, he grabbed the hook and swung it upward.
Patchwerk was sent flying, flung into the air by Old Cyclops.
When Patchwerk reached the highest point, Old Cyclops gave another tug, causing Patchwerk to fall rapidly toward him.
"Ugh~~ Ahhh!!!"
Patchwerk flapped the dragon wings on his body at high speed, but the force generated was far inferior to Old Cyclops' pulling power.
"Splat."
Patchwerk was caught in Old Cyclops' hand. Sharp nails tore through Patchwerk's flesh, splashing a fair amount of fluid onto Old Cyclops' face.
Old Cyclops stuck out his tongue, licking every drop of fluid clean with a satisfied expression.
Then, he loosened his palm, and Patchwerk began to free-fall toward Old Cyclops' hideous, gaping maw.
"Boom!"
At the critical moment, the bone dragon formation arrived. Countless Frost Breaths sprayed toward Old Cyclops' mouth.
These breaths, empowered by Sindragosa's dragon power, were incredibly potent, instantly freezing Old Cyclops' entire head in ice.
Patchwerk slammed onto the ice block and immediately flapped his wings, retracting his tail hook in an attempt to escape.
Terrifying. The strength in that ghoul's arm was too much. That hideous mouth was almost comparable to Big Brother Kunpeng's. It scared the abomination half to death.
But before Patchwerk could fly far, a large hole was torn through the spider lily. Old Cyclops' other arm reached out, grabbing the fluttering Patchwerk once again.
Seeing that Old Cyclops still had the ability to move his limbs, Bone Guard One immediately commanded the necrotic knights to join the formation as well.
Since Bone Guard One had only been granted command over the skeleton soldiers by Chen Xu, his control over the necrotic knights was far inferior. While adding them would increase the formation's power, it also increased the difficulty of control.
After all, they had only taken a crash course and had not yet reached the level of mastery in controlling formations.
As the necrotic knights joined, the spider lily in the sky grew even larger, and new petals sprouted.
The terrifying energy tightly squeezed Old Cyclops.
"Ah!"
Old Cyclops didn't care at all; his eyes were only on Patchwerk.
The arm holding Patchwerk began to bend, bringing him toward his mouth.
"Wooo~~~"
"Ah!"
Kunpeng suddenly appeared, opening its hideous giant mouth and tearing off Old Cyclops' arm in a single bite. The intense pain caused Old Cyclops to howl.
"Big Brother Kunpeng!!!"
Seeing Kunpeng appear, Patchwerk cheered loudly, the various arms on his body clapping in unison.
"Wooo~~~"
Kunpeng let out a roar, comforting Patchwerk.
At the same time, it patted its belly with a fin, signaling Patchwerk not to be afraid. With Kunpeng watching over him, no one except Chen Xu could bully Patchwerk.
"My arm!"
Old Cyclops' other arm was already whipping toward Kunpeng.
Kunpeng instantly expanded his Sea God power, intending to block the strike.
But a pair of dragon claws descended from the sky, catching Old Cyclops' arm.
Sindragosa condensed terrifying dragon power in her mouth, firing a beam of pure destructive energy at Old Cyclops' arm.
The Ghoul King's powerful physical strength gradually decomposed within the violent energy.
By the time the breath ended, only the palm remained in Sindragosa's claws. The forearm and upper arm had been annihilated.
"Roar!!!"
Having lost two arms in quick succession, Old Cyclops let out a furious roar as an incredibly powerful energy erupted from his heart.
A bloody, crimson energy burst from within Old Cyclops, blowing the spider lily to pieces.
After breaking free, Old Cyclops' heart pounded violently.
"Thump-thump, thump-thump!"
At the stumps of his arms, new limbs instantly grew out. Furthermore, there were now two on each side, totaling four.
At the position of his navel on his abdomen, the flesh receded inward, and then two rows of hideous, sharp teeth grew out, forming a blood-red maw.
With two mouths roaring in unison, the surging momentum sent even the nearby bone dragons flying.
Chen Xu, riding on Invincible's back, was speechless at the sight.
Although he had expected the famous Old Cyclops would not be defeated so easily, what in the world was this new second stage form?
Surely he wouldn't kill this form only for a third stage to appear, turning him directly into an eternal-tier being?
Before Chen Xu could think further, Old Cyclops had already charged forward using all six limbs.
