Chapter 184 | Overtime Necromancy: My Legion Never Sleeps

Chen Xu immediately pulled out his smart terminal and had the Fuxi sub-system synchronize the latest data.

Looking at it, he was relieved to find that only half a year had passed.

It seemed that during this half-year, Daxia had cleared another ultra-tier dungeon, causing the spiritual qi density to rise once more.

Chen Xu put away the smart terminal and looked toward the military academy's direction, intending to teleport there.

But as he sensed the military academy's location, he actually detected a trace of faith power from within Daxia. Although it was very faint, likely only at the level of a casual believer.

This felt very strange to Chen Xu. He hadn't been in Daxia for so long, yet he still had believers.

Thus, Chen Xu teleported directly to the military academy base. Looking at the familiar environment before him, he pushed open the door and walked inside.

A staff member walking toward him saw Chen Xu and instinctively greeted him, "Mythic Chen!"

"Hello."

Chen Xu nodded in response.

Only a few people knew the news of Chen Xu leaving Blue Star.

Daxia's official statement to the public was that Chen Xu was in seclusion, practicing a secret technique.

Knock, knock, knock!

Chen Xu knocked on the door of Xia Qiming's office and walked in.

Looking at Xia Qiming's familiar face and checking his strength, Chen Xu spoke up before Xia Qiming could say a word.

"Teacher Xia, how has half a year passed and you still haven't reached mythic-tier? I even found the time to become a God of the Undead."

Hearing this, Xia Qiming shook his head and laughed.

"You brat, you never have anything good to say the moment you return."

"Hehe, I'm just concerned about you. Looking at this spiritual qi density, we must have cleared another ultra-tier dungeon, right? Why haven't you been allocated anything yet?"

Xia Qiming first got a bottle of soda for Chen Xu before slowly speaking.

"We did clear one, the ultra-tier dungeon 【Wild Beast Continent】. Daxia obtained a large amount of high-tier beast materials from it and refined many epic-tier pills, and even some legendary-tier ones. Our overall strength has increased by a level.

Currently, including you, there are six mythic-tier individuals and twenty legendary-tier ones. As for epic-tier, there are many more, a total of over three hundred people."

"Hmm?" Chen Xu was slightly puzzled. He understood the numbers for mythic-tier and legendary-tier.

Based on the rewards from the 【Flood of the Flood Dragon】 dungeon, one ultra-tier dungeon could yield about two to three mythic-tier advancement items. With Daxia clearing two ultra-tier dungeons, the birth of five mythic-tier individuals was reasonable.

As for the twenty legendary-tier individuals, they likely came from the dozens of epic-tier powerhouses who improved their strength through the massive resources provided by the ultra-tier dungeons.

But the number of epic-tier individuals was something Chen Xu couldn't figure out. How did so many appear in just half a year?

"Teacher Xia, how did the number of epic-tier individuals increase so much all of a sudden? Did Old Wu dig up some ancient powerhouse's tomb in a dungeon and hit the jackpot?"

"Pah, what do you mean by hitting a jackpot from digging up tombs? Can't you wish Old Wu some better luck? The explosion in the number of epic-tier individuals is because of the World Will."

"The World Will?"

"Yes. In this half-year, besides our Daxia completing the clearing of a second ultra-tier dungeon, Yinglun, the Great Bear, the White-Headed Eagle, Tianzhu, and other countries have also successively completed ultra-tier dungeons.

Perhaps because the energy from ultra-tier dungeons is so vast, the World Will had a great feast. After that, the professional system received a major update.

How should I put it? It's more complete now with more functions. Although some of it is a bit flashy, it's definitely beneficial for low-tier professionals."

After listening to Xia Qiming, Chen Xu immediately clicked on his professional panel and found that the interface indeed had many new things.

Furthermore, there was an update announcement.

【Version Update Announcement】

【Dear professionals, hello. Due to your hard work, sacrifice, and bloodshed, the majority of Blue Star's dungeons have been cleared, achieving phased success.

Thanks to this, the professional panel will undergo a major update. This update will unlock various new contents, bringing a brand new experience to all professionals.

This update also signifies that the Blue Star professional transcendent system has finished its beta version and entered the official version. (Provisionally designated as Version 1.0)

In the future, the Heavenly Dao will continue to update more content based on the performance of all professionals. Please stay tuned.】

Following the update announcement was an introduction to the update content.

【Update Content 1: Newbie Benefits】

【The professional system has been running for over a hundred years since its birth. During this period, thanks to the diligent efforts of all professionals, Blue Star has survived the dungeon disasters.

During the process of clearing dungeons, the Heavenly Dao also received many valuable suggestions from professionals. Previously, due to development constraints, they could not be implemented one by one. But today, a hundred years later, these valuable suggestions from professionals have finally been updated!

From now on, professionals will have a brand new experience in dungeon exploration. Especially for newly awakened professionals, the new system will completely rewrite the logic of clearing dungeons for newbies.

Specific details:

1. All professionals come with a level 1 Appraisal technique. The Appraisal level will automatically increase with the professional's level.

2. Professionals will no longer truly die in dungeons; instead, they will be resurrected on Blue Star at the cost of their levels.

(Note: The higher the level, the more levels are lost upon death. The more times one dies, the more levels are deducted upon death. When one's level is lower than the level penalty, the professional will no longer be resurrected and will face true death.)

3. The pet module and mount module are now open. Non-summoning professionals can obtain one pet slot and one mount slot, acquiring pets and mounts through pet eggs dropped in dungeons.

4. The dungeon information encyclopedia is now open, including monster information, environmental information, and cultural information.

5. The Phantom Realm Dungeon is now open. All cleared dungeons can be challenged again in the Dungeon Hall where their Dungeon Core is placed. If a challenger's score exceeds the original clearer's, they will receive rare rewards.

6. Destiny Points revision. Destiny Points will no longer participate in the year-end dividends. Instead, they are changed to Heavenly Dao Customization. Destiny Seekers can consume Destiny Points through the Destiny Customization Shop in the professional panel to exchange for special Destiny items.

7. Professional exclusive forum is now open.

】

After reading Update Content 1, Chen Xu sighed. It turned out that for all these years, they had been using the beta version of the professional panel.

Looking at these new functions, each was more overpowered than the last.

The classic Appraisal technique, the classic resurrection ability—if the Blue Star World Will wasn't an internet addict, he wouldn't believe it even if he were beaten to death.

【Update Content 2: Challenge Mystic Realm】

【The Heavenly Dao has received feedback from many professionals that the professional advancement tasks are too cumbersome and unfavorable for growth. Therefore, the Heavenly Dao has specially launched the Challenge Mystic Realm function.

Professionals can challenge the corresponding Challenge Mystic Realm of their tier. Success will grant professional advancement. (Note: Death in a Challenge Mystic Realm is equivalent to death in a dungeon)

Currently open: transcendent-tier, epic-tier, legendary-tier】

"Challenge Mystic Realm?"

Chen Xu looked at Xia Qiming, and Xia Qiming nodded, confirming Chen Xu's suspicion with his gesture.

The hundreds of new epic-tier individuals had broken through after passing the Challenge Mystic Realm.

In the past, when professionals chose advancement tasks, they had to carefully select advancement items, fearing the items wouldn't match their profession, leading to a new profession that differed greatly from their current system.

The appearance of the Challenge Mystic Realm directly ended this situation.

As long as the challenge was passed, the advanced profession would definitely be related to the current one. This function greatly accelerated the growth speed of low-tier professionals.

Following that were two commonplace new modules.

【Update Content 3: Guild System】

【Update Content 4: Leaderboard System】

Among them, the Guild System only added a guild warehouse with vast space; other than that, there was nothing special.

If one had to say, there was a guild leaderboard in Update Content 4. For the periodic settlement rewards of the leaderboard, some might focus on building their guilds.

In any case, the Daxia official had established three guilds, corresponding to the three great academies, Heavenly Crafts, and the military. Private warbands had established a large number of guilds based on their original organizational structures.

And the Leaderboard System also answered Chen Xu's doubt about why there was still a faint faith power on Blue Star despite his long absence.

The leaderboards currently had seven main lists.

They were the Professional Strength List, Professional Dungeon Clearance List, Guild Power List, Equipment List, Pet List, and Mount List.

Out of the six lists, Chen Xu alone dominated three of them.

First in professional strength, first in the Pet List, and first in the Mount List.

Furthermore, the most exaggerated part was that the top two on the Pet List and the first and third on the Mount List were all Chen Xu's.

【Pet List No. 1: Kunpeng, mythic-tier Bone Kun, Blue Star's Sea God. Master: Chen Xu】

【Pet List No. 2: Patchwerk, epic-tier mutated abomination. Master: Chen Xu】

【Pet List No. 3: Lion King, epic-tier mutant lion. Master: Ba Tula】

【Mount List No. 1: Sindragosa, mythic-tier Undead Bone Dragon, Otherworld Dragon God. Master: Chen Xu】

【Mount List No. 2: Ganesha, epic-tier White Jade War Elephant. Master: Po Luo】

【Mount List No. 3: Invincible, transcendent-tier bone nightmare. Master: Chen Xu】

Although Chen Xu wasn't clear how the World Will categorized pets and mounts, and he couldn't understand why Kunpeng was categorized as a pet while Sindragosa was a mount—it couldn't be based on intelligence.

As for that spirit sword in Ye Bufan's hand, he flew on it quite often, yet it appeared on the Equipment List instead of the Mount List.

But the ranking of the lists was quite fair; Chen Xu's strength was far ahead.

This was why even though Chen Xu had been away from the scene for so long, his legend still lived on.

Sitting opposite him, Xia Qiming saw the slight curl of Chen Xu's lips and immediately knew he had seen the leaderboard module. He shook his head and laughed along.

The vanity of the leaderboards indeed brought mental joy, but Chen Xu was never a shallow person. He only browsed through over a hundred posts on the professional forum containing the keywords 【Leaderboard】 and 【Chen Xu】 in one breath after finishing with the lists.
